Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is a game developed by DICE and published by EA games set to drop March 2, 2010 in North America and Europe. If you are unfamiliar with Battlefield, the series has put its stamp on the land, air, and sea warfare across ginormous maps. What's exciting about this new Battlefield game is that Bad Company 2 runs on its new Frostbite engine, which makes large scale destructible environments online possible. Destructible buildings were desperately missing from the series from when I played the old Battlefield games and now I have them.
Available for play in the beta is only a Rush challenge on Harbor Coast, which one team defends their laptop/intel from being blown up by the opposing team. The attacking team loses when they lose all their ticks by dying too many times. The defending team loses when all their intel is destroyed by failing to defend each point. Each of piece of intel/base is spread across the map in direct path to the last point. The map is not entirely available to roam from the get go in as each section is blocked off from the rest of the map where the other control points are forcing you go in order. The game is very much open and you can run into buildings and swim in the ocean if you please. However, running to your objective can seem like a chore that rewards you with the fun action to be had at your destination.
The game looks absolutely stunning, the bright golden desert shines and textures are sharp even up close. As your tank drives, it leaves trails of desert dust behind while buildings crumble and are even brought down entirely, taking everyone out along with it. In order to do this, you must take out the support beams in each building. This is much easier planting C4 around the beams. Very fun. As an engineer, you can repair tanks while they fire cheese-like-holes in buildings thanks to the new Frostbite engine. I found this tactic very effective for taking out campers.
I experienced about one to two minor freezes while playing, but the game runs very smoothly around a consistent 30-35 fps even when firefights and destruction gets hectic. It's definitely not as smooth as Call of Duty, but it's in beta, so there's room for improvement. I found the draw distances extremely far, and I saw this is as a sight to behold when your sniping your target hundreds of feet away.
Being a foot soldier in Battlefield can seem daunting when going up against tanks and helicopters, but the range of c.lasses are balanced so that you can actually be effective against tanks with powerful RPGs that take out tanks. Well placed shorts can destroy tanks in one to two hits in the back or side where armor is weaker. There five c.lasses with multiple gun unlocks and there are even perks now. The customization isn't as deep Call of Duty multiplayer but, again it's in beta.
The gun-play in Bad Company 2 is a very close mixture of Killzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2. You have the same feeling of weight with the raw speed and accuracy of a Call of Duty game. Guns are not lasers in this game like Call of Duty, so you actually have to fire two to three shot bursts if you want to kill targets at long range, which you will be doing a lot.
Right now players are running around like chickens with their heads cut-off and there is a deep lack of communication. With my experience with Battlefield 2: Modern Combat on PC, this is frightening. Something needs to be done about communication and team work with PSN community which DICE has tried to do.
As far as what's available to players for team work, is the spot and mark ability available to every player. As long as you can see an enemy, you can mark them with a red triangle over their head which can be seen very well to your team so that they can kill a visible enemy. All you have to do is press select while your cross hair is over an enemy. It's kind of a cheap way of calling out where the enemy is to your teammates without a mic.
Bad Company is so fun and pleasing to play. I can't wait until they release more maps in beta or the actually game because they look amazing so far. I also can't wait to play with friends because getting together with a bunch of buddies and planning out an attack with your squad can be some of the most satisfying experiences that can be had in this game.

Resident Evil 4 of course I still remember a bit when this game came out. I remember watching my hubby playing and thinking NO I will NEVER play. 
Ha ha that was a load of crap on my part. After playing the first time though which toke me I think over 24 hours I can't remember, ( but of course I didn't do that in all in one day 
) but anyways I have now played that game at least 50 times. The fast time I ever played that game was in 5 hours and that was with all powerful weapons. If I had to pick a favorite boss battle that would be Krasuer and then Saddler.

Finished Dragon Age: Origins. Got my prince, half the kingdom, killed a power-mad man and sexed up a witch.
I finished the game 60% complete, and I can't go back and do the quests I missed! DAMN YOU BIOWARE! I HAVE TO START A NEW CHARACTER FOR THAT! *shakes fist in anger*
The game itself took me around 45 hours to complete, but I procrastinated a lot, and I tried to avoid having to fight Loghain and his army of baddies for as long as possible... But Sten looked at me in a funny way, so I did it. Y_Y
Now on to the human noble origins, then a dwarf. And I HAVE to sex up that wicked witch of the wild, but that means I have to make a man D:

We are almost within the top 1,000, approaching 3 million points with 6,000 work units completed.
Long time no see Gamespot. Hope everyone is having a pretty good fall. Things have been decent here - I just haven't had the motivation to post or otherwise spend much time on the site... you can partially thank Lost and Borderlands for that. For all those who commented and said that Lost was great in my last blog, you were definitely right. Sure, Jericho was good, but Lost is better. I watched all five seasons of the show in less than a couple of weeks thanks to the wonders of Netflix. Needless to say, I can't wait until the show wraps up with season six in 2010.
Other than Lost, I picked up Borderlands on the 20th, and finished it today, the 25th. It was a decent game, but nothing more than filler until Modern Warfare 2 comes out. The gameplay was good, and so was the game's hybrid graphics styIe. The paper-thin story and terrible ending, however, were not. I'll be writing a review soon (hopefully), but my recommendation is to rent this one first.
School is still going okay - a little less busy, too. I finally sent in all my college applications and got accepted to the college of my choice - Michigan State University. I'll also (presumably) be attending the Honors College to study pre-med. And with that said, Lost fans, I'll leave you with this.An item of incalculable power and mighthas fallen into my grasp, with this very object I made the skies blot out the sun and pound the earth with unrelenting rain, the item I so much adore and defend with my life is non other than Halo 3 ODST! This game is by far the best I've played this year, I already beatthe game(Normal Mode) and had a taste of Firefight (In which I'll need to learn not to run head first into combat). Anyone who has this game can add meon XBL so we can Kick some covenant a**!
Now I set my sights to acquire MW2, Bioshock 2, DoW II: Chaos Rising and Warhammer 40k Space Marine.
On another note a friend of mine installed the Windows 7 Beta OS on my laptop, I have to say this beast works like a charm and completely forgot that a vista had ever existed, If you have vista and can't tolerate its ignorance then I suggest you upgrade to Windows 7.

Ambition. Futility. Rage. Despair.
Well, college is back in full swing. This week the fall semester has begun and i am just WAITING for winter break already. Its nice to be back in classes...its just they want me to do alot of stuff, like reading books.
also, my summer was filled with working around the house and beautifying it with some new furniture. My greatest accomplishment is my Media Room. i got some nice leather recliners for that room so all it needs now is a 60in lcd, which i hope to get soon. i will put up pics sooner or later. I also took summer courses too...a major SUCK!
Besides that, i have played ALOT of video games ever since i got my cable/internet hooked up.
I've been playing the PS3 mostly with MGS4 and BF Bad Company with doses of Call of Duty MW thrown in. eac month this year an awesome game will be coming out for my baby so i gotta saev up some mula and get my studyin done quick.
I also got the Wii now tha tmy sister and i co-own. I have yet to ever play that thing online, the only thing i have done with the internet on it is buy games. Right now i am going to give some time to it to beat games i have not beaten yet including No More Heroes, SSBB, Super Mario Galaxy, and MarioKart Wii(one of my sis' friends deleted my license).
other than that...i still eat an sleep. That is All
