What is there to watch this summer?

Okay, since all of my shows have either ended or been cancelled this season, I'm so lost and don't know what to watch this summer.  I'm definitely going to be watching all new episodes of Kyle XY starting next Monday.  Also, the season finale of One Tree Hill comes on this Wednesday, which I'm so excited about!  Last week's episode was crazy!  Who knew that Lucas had it in him to even point a gun at Dan, let alone shoot at him when he tried to help Karen while she was going into labor.  I'm just wondering if Lucas shot Dan and if Karen will deliver the baby.  I have two more days until my answers are revealed because the commercial preview did not help me at all.  I've also been watching this show on Fox called "On the Lot".  Amateur filmmakers are vying for a one million dollar contract to shoot a movie.  It's fun to watch the one minute movies that they make, but how can we know that they can make a 2 hour movie just from making 1 minute movies?

Summer is the time for ridiculous reality shows, like CBS's "Pirate Master" and ABC's "The Ex-Wives Club".  The pirate craze has gone too far.  Leave it to tho "Pirates of the Carribbean" movies.  Also, why is Shar Jackson on this show?  She didn't marry Kevin Federline; therefore, she is not an ex-wife.  There are some good reality shows that are returning, like "So You Think You Can Dance?".  I didn't watch the first season that much, but I was addicted to the second season.  The competition was so good at the end, but the dancers this season are not as great as last season's.  Hopefully, it will get better.  Also, "Rob and Big" just premiered Season 2 a couple of weeks ago, and so far, it is still hilarious!  I love that show!  But one of my favorite shows is coming back for Season 3 tomorrow night - Criss Angel Mindfreak!  I've been watching this show from the beginning, and I can't wait to see what crazy, unbelievable tricks Criss has under his sleeve this season!  I thought I saw it all last season, but something tells me that I'm going to be amazed this season!

Well, I guess I do have something to watch this summer!  New episodes of The 4400 and The Dead Zone are premiering soon on USA, and lots of new shows like Burn Notice on USA and Army Wives on Lifetime.  I watched Army Wives last night, and it was pretty good.  I guess I could've expected that since the producer of Grey's Anatomy, Mark Gordon, produced the show.  I think Burn Notice is going to be good because one of my favorite actors, Jeffrey Donovan, is starring in the show.  I'm glad USA gave him another chance after cancelling one of the best shows to be cancelled that he also starred in - Touching Evil.  I also like the new miniseries on USA called The Starter Wife.  Debra Messing is such a great actress.   I guess if I get bored with watching TV, I can always go see a movie or play video games

America's Favorite Pasttime Is Back!

The day I've been waiting for is finally here!  I saw the first televised game of the season when I watched the New York Mets squash the St. Louis Cardinals, 2006 World Series Champions, with a score of 6 to 1 on ESPN.  But I'm not excited for the Mets one bit because they are competition for my favorite MLB team, my hometown Atlanta Braves!  As you can see, I'm repping my Braves with my lovely icon, and I will have it on loud and proud all season long.  This season is the last season that my #1 source for Braves games, TBS, will be broadcasting exclusive Braves games.  After this season, the Turner Broadcasting System will be showing other baseball games, not just Braves games.  I'm a little sad about that because it is already hard enough to see the Braves games from where I live, but that just makes me excited to enjoy this season and the games that will be televised on TBS.  My lovely team will play in their first game of the season tomorrow against another big competitor, the Philedelphia Phillies, at 12:00pm CDT on TBS, and I'm sad that I won't be able to see it.  I will be waiting for my Intermediate Programming to start, but you know I will have the scoreboard open on my computer to keep up with the score.  If only I had a TV Tuner on my laptop, I could watch the game using my cable connection at home and connect to TBS right on my computer.  That would be awesome!  Too bad I'm broke .  But I have the home-opening game to look forward to on Friday night!  I'm too excited!  I've waited all year for this since the Braves didn't make it 15 straight division titles last year.  Hopefully, they will win the NL East Division Championship this year and start another streak!  Darn those Mets!  We're beatin' them down this year!

My Spring Break of Awesome Shows

I'm so sad to see my Spring Break go, but I can revel in the fact that I got my fill on the best shows on television.

Monday:

I saw a wonderful episode of Prison Break.  The brothers are on the run to Panama, but it was so sad that they had to leave Sarah behind.  She was very loyal to lie to Michael and tell him that she was already on the boat just so they wouldn't get caught.  But where did Michael go?  I hope he's okay!  I can't wait to see next week's episode - two more episodes until the best season is over   I think I'll be okay, as long as it is coming back for a third season.

I also got to see the newest episode of I Love New York.  I know, I know, this show is so hilarious, it's one of my guilty pleasures.  Well, New York got rid of Real.  I liked Real, and thought that he was going to win the whole thing just because New York's mom loved him.  But, of course, New York has to go against her mom and eliminate the most sincere guy (in my opinion) on the show.  I really don't think Chance is going to win just because he almost took the money that New York's mom was offering him to leave and because he is too much like New York.  But if she wants her male counterpart as her boyfriend, she can pick him.

To complete my Monday of wonderful television, I watched the latest episode of What About Brian.  This show is so great!  I'm so excited that Dave and Deena are getting back together.  Deena had better say yes to Dave's proposal of remarraige.  I also love the chemistry between Brian and Laura.  I can't wait to see what's going to happen on the season finale tomorrow night.  I'm so excited - the preview looked amazing - and I hope that the show gets picked up for the third season.

Tuesday:

American Idol night!  You know I had to watch my American Idol and go crazy over the fact that Sanjaya is still shaking his skinny 17 year old tail on the stage.  I couldn't believe that he has a fan, a little 13-year-old girl named Amanda who had her 15 minutes of fame all over TV this week.  Amazing performances from Chris R., Melinda, LaKisha, Stephanie, Jordin, Blake, and Phil!  Haley was wearing the cutest outfit, but her performance was mediocre.  I can't even remember Chris S. and his performance through the audience.  Gina is trying to be too rock and not show off her soulful voice.  Overall, it was a good show.

I had to get dirty and watch the latest episode of Dirt.  We're getting close to finding out who put the photos in Lucy's trunk, but it's really starting to look like Don is being forced to do it by his friend in a coma, but who knows!  This show is so addictive, and I can't wait to see the highly anticipated season finale with Jennifer Aniston guest starring.  It's going to be crazy!

Wednesday:

Friday Night Lights was spectacular!  I loved every minute of this show.  I can't believe Riggins and the next-door neighbor are starting a little affair!  It's awesome!  Also, I'm so glad that the mother and daughter duo of Angela and Tyra are as close as ever!  I'm sad about the divorce of the Garrity's and how Lyla had to find out about her dad's chronic infidelity.  And what about that kiss between Jason and the "tattoo girl" - I have no idea what her name is - but why can't Jason be honest with Lyla?  He doesn't want to hurt Lyla anymore than she is already, I guess???

I was sad to see Stephanie go on the results show of American Idol.  She's a million times better than Sanjaya and Haley   But the time that it took to announce her departure was so lame!  I hated the performances by Lulu and that old guy!  It was way too much to bear.  I wish people would start voting for talent and not keeping the lamest people on this rip of a show!

Thursday:

My three hours of ABC started with Ugly Betty.  I'm addicted to this show!  It was amazing how Marc was finally willing to tell his mom the truth about his sexuality after his mom insulted Justin - the scene-stealer of the show.  I saw Marc grow into a nice, sincere person throughout this episode.  Now, as for Alexis and Daniel's ongoing feud, it will never end now that Alexis is working side by side with Daniel.  But now it seems that Daniel is giving Alexis what she wants so that he can take a break from being the editor of Mode.  I can't wait to see next week's episode.

Next, the Grey's Anatomy episode that I had to watch twice.  It was that good!  I loved the fact that George stood up to Callie's dad and finally remembered what happened between him and Izzie.  The frustration and sadness between them in that linen closet left me speechless - the best scene in Grey's Anatomy history!!!!  Who's going to be the next chief-of-staff at Seattle Grace?  Who knew that Mark would have a shot after making a "Right Now" plan!  Miranda should get all the credit for his plan since she blew him off with "right now!"

My new favorite show, October Road, was really good this week.  Nick was hilarious when he started singing on the dean's lawn late at night.  Also, drama ensued when Eddie tried to swoon Aubrey with a make-believe talking racoon.  But there may be a relationship coming between him and Janet after he asked her out on a date.  Can you say, cute?  I love this show so much; I can't wait to see the next episode!

Friday:

I had to watch Thursday's episode of Grey's Anatomy again since they cut off my show, Ghost Whisperer, for March Madness college basketball!  I was glad to see this episode again, but I can't wait until March Madness is over

I was waiting all week to see the return of Six Degrees on ABC.  I'm glad to see that Mae and Carlos are still going strong, but I was a little mad to see that low-down cheating dog, Roy, still on the show.  I know it was an accident, but I'm glad Whitney "accidentally" shot him in the leg with an arrow!  I'm glad to see Laura getting a new love interest, but I hate to see a good couple like Damien and Regina end their relationship even after Damien is willing to come forward about the shooting.  But just his luck, no one believes that he did it.  See what having a clean record can get you?  Next week's episode looks great!  Can't wait!

I usually don't watch TV on the weekends because, in my opinion, nothing comes on Saturdays and Sundays, now that 7th Heaven doesn't come on (what's wrong with the CW???), and Desperate Housewives and Brothers and Sisters are on hiatus.  But I did watch Peyton Manning and Carrie Underwood on Saturday Night Live.  Peyton was hilarious, and Carrie is one of the greatest singers right now and one of the best singers to win American Idol.   So, that was my amazing week of television!  I gotta go to sleep now because I have to wake up early to go to school (boo!)  Goodnight!

I'm Playing Harvest Moon No Matter What!

I've played Harvest Moon every weekend since my little rant, and my withdrawal has been satisfied.  Recently, I bought a cow and a sheep, and I ventured the mines to only make it to Level 93 of the second mine.  Only 107 more levels to go!  I need plenty of reinforcements to get to the bottom.  I'm going to use the Watering Team of Harvest Sprites more often because watering all of those crops is draining.  This game is too much fun, and I am totally addicted!

Harvest Moon Withdrawal

I'm not able to play my Harvest Moon game this week because of how busy I am at school.  I have an assignment for my Database class due tonight before 11:00pm, a project description for my Game Programming class due on Monday, a homework assignment for my Discrete Math class on Tuesday, another Database assignment due next Wednesday, and an Intermediate Programming assignment due next Friday.  In between all of that, I have to grade papers for a Visual Programming class that I'm a teacher's assistant for.  It's so stressful, and I'm only getting four to five hours of sleep every night, so I'm always cranky.  Also, I have to go home every night and wash dishes in between doing my homework.  I wish I could get a break so that I can play Harvest Moon.  I haven't played my game since last Saturday, and I'm having serious withdrawals.  I don't know when I'm going to be able to play it because I'm tired all the time.  I can't wait until Spring Break comes, but I'll have to wait until March Being a Computer Science major is so stressful

Jamie Scott Rock/Pop

Okay, if you didn't know that last little fact, now you know! I first fell in love with Jamie Scott when I first started my obsession over the music of the United Kingdom, listening to UK radio stations online and discovering new talent before they embarked on their journeys to the States. I watched the video of this wonderful talent on Yahoo and loved his sweet voice on his single "Just". He is a soulful, blue-eyed hottie that should be recognized for his awesome talent. I just had to sing my praises after seeing him tear it up on the movie "Step Up" singing the awesomely catcy song "Made". Rent this movie and watch it so you can see that Jamie Scott is a superstar!

Everytime I listen to one of Jamie Cullum's songs, I just fall in love with the smooth songs and the soothing lyrics. His fingers tickle the ivories in every song, and he continues to inspire me with every song that he sings. I know that he will be a superstar for a long time.

Out of Exile Audioslave
""
Audioslave continues to rock on with their sophomore release "Out of Exile". The album starts off strong with the hit "Your Time Has Come" and proceeds with rockin' tracks such as "Out of Exile" and "Drown Me Slowly". The only downside to this album is that it is too short. With only 12 tracks, I feel like I'm left hanging after the last song. But other than that, the album is a steal for any pure rock fan. Their songs also have a little bit of blues sound to it, which is always favorable in my mind. Chris Cornell's voice is perfect for this rock/blues sound. This album is amazing, and I can't wait to hear their next album to see if they will continue to rock on the next album!

Audioslave's debut album is full of all the hits. Rockin' tracks like "Cochise", "Show Me How To Live", and "Like a Stone" all make the album wonderful from beginning to end. The awesome guitar of Tom Morello is revolutionary and makes each song rock! Chris Cornell's vocals are sensational, either when he's singing a ballad or screaming his message loud and clear through each song. I never get tired of listening to this album!

The perfect culmination of two of the greatest rock bands of our time - Rage Against the Machine and Soundgarden - Audioslave has made their mark on the rock scene by bringing the sounds of both bands together into one revolutionary powerhouse of rock. The vocals of Chris Cornell over the awesome guitar riffs of Tom Morello are sensational. Every song on every album by this band is awesome. Each album gets better and better and shows the tight-knit sounds of this band. I will forever be a fan of this incredible band!

I love to play video games either on my Playstation 2 or my Nintendo DS. Sometimes, I will even dust off my Super Nintendo and play Kirby's Avalanche, Kirby's Dream Course, or Super Mario World. I'm also a huge TV fan, watching shows such as Grey's Anatomy, The O.C., Gilmore Girls, One Tree Hill, The Real World, and many more. Music is a big part of my life. I love to listen to rock, pop, R&B, country, and a little rap.
