Here it is . Kinda of a far screen shot sorry. Anyhow i am working on sprites now and once thats done this weekend me and my friend will work on a small 2D weekend project. Can some body please give me a small idea on a game story, i need one for a 2D side scroller space shooter. This will be my first full game. Oh and on my tank program, i added collision so that when you go to far left, right, up, or down and you go off the screen i will stop input so it seems like your crashing to the wall - hence collision .

Yay for programmer art! Generating random shooter story...NOW.
Bill Hawk, an trainee fresh from the academy, is the only pilot left after a surprise raid on the main military base. Looking at the cameras of the base, he finds out that it was a strange alien force was the culprit. Suddenly, the main screens come on with a message, saying that humanity has only 3 days to live. With most planes destroyed, he must pilot an old MARG-FLY 9-10 to hunt down the alien forces and restore peace to planet earth. *insert intro music*
*game begins*

Thank you guys, i am kinda leaning towards what Frozen liquid send me, it had a good story and a shocking twist to it, and it would be a very short game as it sounded and thats perfect for a lil weekend project. This game would be kinda like an arcade flash game you would play. Thanks Frozen liquid i am sending this game to my programming partner to see what he thinks. Of course we may add some stuff to it =D.

Lol actually..im having no story =D. If its going to be a small story / weekend project and is more for a learning experience, why not just have an arcady type 2D shooter? I really enjoyed your idea froze liquid and i will think about using it in the future, i will also think of using you as a story writer if you wouldnt mind in the future, and i would put you in my credits in my game. But im going to have a 2D alien shooter.

I am from Connecticut of the U.S. The reasoning on having my username be -ct1257860 is because i didnt actually think i would stay here so i just threw some numbers. Also it has a kind of cool code that is like this. 1 + 2 = 3 ] 3 + 5 = 8 ] 8 - 7 = 1] 1 + 8 = 9 ] 9 - 6 = 3 !! my starting number!! i thought of the number cause 1,2 are the first two numbers, no reason of 5 7, and 860 is my area code lol.
