I first heard this band through a doom metal compilation that my friend let me borrow. The first song that I heard by Daylight Dies was "A Life Less Lived." I was a little skeptical about it at first. But as soon as I played it, the beautiful, textured, and complex riffs, completely grabbed me. Through the song I was shocked at the level of beauty of the music that these musicians had created. It was so beautiful, and engaging. By the end of it, I was completely taken by the song. The rest of the album is just as good, possibly better. Each and every song has its own gloomy beauty, and amazing riffs that make it so special. The vocals are perfect, with a mix of screams, to express frustration, anger, desperation, and clean vocals, expressing sadness and depression. The music has this sad, depressing aura about it, which really makes it so emotional, like the riffs and music are trying to connect with you. The drumming is perfect for the music, and most songs usually have a medium-slow pace, except maybe "A Dream Resigned" and "Strive To See". Even the other albums though noticeably not as well recorded, and mastered as Dismantling Devotion are also amazing. "No Reply" is fantastic, with amazing tracks. The lyrics usually exemplify a tortured life, giving a sense of impending death, or the wish for it. Depressing, but it suits the music. Overall, this band is amazing. There is no other band like them. They are an American band, that sound Scandinavian. This is going to be the next most important band in the world of metal. Make sure you listen to Dismantling Devotion. Only three albums, and they've nearly reached musical perfection with Dismantling Devotion. The future looks really bright!! or dark!! :P

Metallica have been one of the most infulential heavy metal bands to ever set foot on Earth. Though i have to admit they've burnt out now. Well what do you expect? They have been playing for some 20 years now!! Best album in my opnion is And Justice For All...

This band is amazing!!! nothnig beats this... the lyrics are amazing, and the music is superb as well! Each and every album of Nirvana is worth listening to.. The best in my opnion being IN UTERO.. They are legends and they changed music forever!! Although the music is made out of very basic chord stuctures, it kicks ass and is very soul! Kurt CObains lyrics are fantastic and he's an amazing icon for todays generation!!! Don't take a pass on this one, i guarantee you it is worth it!
