The Outstanding Account
I am in debt to all my friends here at TV.Com. I have been away for awhile without any real explanation. I am very sorry for that. The good news is I have been working steadily. The bad news is I am home today with the a cold/flu.
We're a Couple of Misfits
Here is a quick list of my 5 five annual Christmas animated shows:
5. Frosty The Snowman: The animation and storyline leave a little to be desired, but the song still gets me in the mood every time.
4. The Grinch: The cartoon. This classic 30 minute show is more fun than the entire live action movie. Exhibit A in the “never remake a classic” debate.
3. The Year Without Santa Claus: He’s Mr. White Christmas, he’s Mr. Snow.
2. Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer: The Burl Ives Snowman started a trend of celebrity narrators.
1. A Charlie Brown Christmas: Clunky and uneven in places, this one manages to communicate more about the Christmas message than countless pulpit sermons.
Seussical The Musical
I got to go on my daughter’s field trip to Seussical The Musical. The local children’s theater here in Nashville put it on. They did an awesome job with a limited budget. In case you are unfamiliar with it, the storyline follows The Dr. Seuss elephant Horton as he hears a Who and hatches an egg. Some of his other children’s storylines are also woven into the production. The first graders loved the music and the spectacle. However, I was shocked that many of them did not catch the references such a Solla Selew and McElligot’s Pool. It kind of makes you wonder what they are reading in schools these days.
People’s Choice Awards
My final three People’s Choice Awards are listed below:
Crest Whitestrips Fans Favorite Smile:Queen Latifah lights up a room with her smile. She always seems to be better than the movies in which she appears. Cameron Diaz and Drew Barrymore also ran in this category.
Nice ‘N Easy Fans Favorite Hair: Faith Hill won the coin toss on this one. I am really unqualified to choose between her, Nicole Kidman and Jennifer Garner.
Olay Total Effects Fans Favorite Look: Reese Witherspoon wins this one. Given the choice to pick between Angelina Jolie or Jennifer Aniston, I would pick neither. Sorry, Brad.

Comments
Ahh, Christmas animations. I'm afraid I stopped watching them after I passed 12. My favorite of the ones you have listed though is A Charlie Brown Christmas. It's less... stupid?
I'm glad you got to see a children's play; they're surprisingly good. It's very entertaining to see little kids put on a show, and I don't know why.
And as for your PCA choices I'd have to agree with you on all except the last one. I like Jennifer Aniston's look a bit better than Reese's. Hope you manage to come back tomorrow.
EDIT: I just realized that I didn't even wish you well! I guess I was just so happy that you were back that I blocked out the sorry circumstances. Anyways, I hope you get well soon even though it means you won't be around anymore. TTYL.
It's okay about not being around the site much. It makes me feel less guilty for involuntarily somewhat deserting the place myself.
I'm sorry you don't feel good I know how that is. You have been missed you missed your horoscope in my blog from a few days ago.
Hugs,
Mary
Anywho hope you get well soon! Take it easy...have a cup of Hot Chocolate!
Glad you are back! That's good news about the steady work, especially with the holiday coming.Work gets in the way of blogging, though
I hope you are feeling better!
But... look! The one and only allusion on this page. And that just about says it all for Mr. Heatmeister.
Glad to see you back, get well soon!
I like the animated Christmas shows you listed. They are wonderful. While I love old Christmas films, I must admit that the animated ones are a lot of fun to watch.
I haven't heard of Seussical The Musical, but it sounds great. I bet it was nice to get to go with your daughter's class and see it.
I like Queen Latifah. I know a lot of people don't, but I think she's a pretty good actress. The problem is that she isn't give roles in very good projects most of the time. She was really good in The Bone Collector and it was a pretty good film, though.
Latifah is a fav. She's sexy.
Faith Hill ain't to hard on the eyes eith.
I think Reese Witherspoon has a fresh face look that's appealing. I also like that she's bucked a Hollywood trend and got married, then had kids.
I was able to purchase a beautiful five DVD set of Rudolph, Frosty & Returns, Santa Claus coming to town and the Little Drummer Boy at Costco. I was pretty happy to get that!
You were missed! I kept checking everyday and realized that you must have been working. Glad you got to go with your daughter on her field trip! Those are priceless momements!
Get better!
Too bad you had to get sick though. It would be better if you got to enjoy your visit. I was wondering why you hadn't been around much lately. You were very much missed.
How The Grinch Stole Christmas is may favorite of the group - though those would also be my top five favs. You just can't beat the Grinch for much humor and that dog is so cute.
My favourite Christmas show not on your list is The Little Drummer Boy. I think I'm in the minority about this being a good show too though.
Queen Latifah's a babe, as long as she isn't toting a gun.
You don't like Angelina? I have a bit of a girl-crush on her. Reese has a nice look though, very wholesome & cute.
I heard that they almost cancelled Charlie Brown's Christmas this year. Good thing they didn't, my daughter enjoyed watching it last night.
