Back from D.C.!

And it was awesome! I had never had as much fun as I did in my life!

I don't think it would of been as fun without my guy friends. Especially my best friend Eric. We've been friends for just about forever and had always hung out with each other.

So, one highlight for the trip was the Changing of the Guard. This was especially important for my friend Eric. He's the Student Council President at the time and because of that, he was able to be involved in it. He had to get dressed in a suit for the event and he looked awesome it it! He'd never looked as good as he did in the suit. So I got a few pictures of him posing like JFK and holding the suit jacket in a political manner. It was pretty much up to me to get a good photo of him during the ceremony. I managed to get a good picture of him touching the wreath with the guard. I printed out the photo and plan on giving it to him since his father wanted me to give him one.

The rest of that day, everybody just knew him as the kid who touched the wreath. Or as this one kid called him, "Suitman!"

For most of the trip to and from D.C., I pretty much did Pictochat on the DS with other kids on the bus with a DS.

There this one kid named Jason who loves to hug EVERYBODY and I mean EVERYBODY. Throughout the trip, he hugged my friend Eric at least 10 times during it. Whenever they hugged I just couldn't help but say, "That's not gay."

My hand got stepped on going up the tight, spiral staircase of this one building in Gettysburg. T_T

The National Cathedral was beautiful! I took the most pictures there. And I also took a picture of my friend Eric doing a pose with fists on his waist. xD And did you know that one of the gargoyles there is shaped like Darth Vader? Kind of ironic.

Eric and I ended up being late for our bus when we went to Mount Vernon. He didn't know that we could go in the house itself and so we went to Washington's Tomb first. We didn't know there was going to be a long line to the building. So our teacher spotted us and kinda scolded us. So we ended up being one of the last people on the bus and then our teacher just scolded ME saying, "Whatever made you slow down, don't do it again." From then on, we were pretty much on-time. O_O

I got a light-up necklace thingy and wore it on Thursday night. We saw the Lincoln Memorial and Vietnam Wall.

I also got a Patriot Hat from the American History Museum and wore it all through Friday night. And goddammit people it's NOT A PIRATE HAT. Everybody kept saying it was a pirate hat or called me "Pirate Nancy". Though, there this one kid that I'm sorta friends with that suggested, "Hey, in band, go up to our teacher with the hat on and say 'Arr, I'm a Patriot!'". Since our the Patriots are the high school mascot.

The American History Museum was my favorite. Especially for the fact that Stephen Colbert's portrait was there. That made me a happy camper since I like Colbert.

Overall, it was really fun!

Favorite quote from the trip: "Don't touch my rippling muscles!"

That was said by my friend Eric. And to be honest, he's really skinny. We were outside of the Lincoln Memorial playing around. I was doing something that required balance and I kinda held onto his shoulder for balance. That's when he said, "Don't touch my rippling muscles!" Then I replied, "Rippling muscles? More like rippling skin and bone," then I grabbed his arm and squeezed it. The he said, "There! You just did it! You grabbed my rippling muscles!" I'm going to be making fun of him for that until he actually gets some "rippling muscles". xD

Also, while at the cathedral when Eric did the fists-on-waist pose, my other friend Mike commented, "Boy, I can't tell which song to sing: Hail to the Chief or the Superman theme."

*cries eyes out* PLEASE Read! (Plus: Moved account)

Okay, for the main topic:

Remember in the last blog post that I talked about an old friend of my parents that got brutally beaten?

Well... we recently found out that she just died. She was fighting for her life for almost 3 weeks but death just came around the corner to pick her up.

R.I.P. Chevonne. You will be missed.

And in other news:

I'm actually typing this out from GameSpot and I'll just might as well say that this might be my last blog post on this account. I'm moving to a different account and I'll mainly use it on GameSpot. I might pop up occasionally on my other account on TV.com.

If anybody wants to continue watching me or be friends with, track the account Darkness-Faerie.

Peace out!

Oh, Good Lord.... (please read... terrible news)

Ok...

On Sunday, we found out in our area that someone that we knew is in critical condition in the hospital.

She was an old friend of my parents.

She was just walking her dog in the park when a man came up to her and beat her on the head with a 15-20 lb. rock.

As of now, she's fighting for her life in the hospital. He skull got fractured from the beating. Already, part of her skull was removed to relieve the swelling of the brain.

The local justice center here said that this was the worst "beating of the head" case they've ever seen.

Also, they already caught the guy who beat her.

For now, we're just going to hope and pray that she'll stay alive and that the man gets put to justice.

God bless her...

*sobs* I hope you'll make it Chevonne.
