After one week of wating I picked up my new scooter from the shop. It is Piaggio Liberty S 50 2T. S stands for Sport, 50 cc motor, "nero carbonio" color. I had to ride back home from the shop, it was an interesting way through few small towns. I like riding a scooter very much!

Nintendo vs Nyko

I got this form Gametrailers.com:

http://www.gametrailers.com/viewnews.php?id=6053

"Nintendo has brought suit against peripheral maker Nyko for its wireless nunchuk controller for Wii reports Bloomberg. The complaint, which was filed earlier this week in Seattle, claims Nyko's product violates trademarks and patents held by Nintendo.

In filing the suit, Nintendo is accusing Nyko of a controller that "wholly appropriates the novel shape, design, overall appearance and even the color and materials used in the Nintendo Nunchuk controller." Nintendo claims two design patents have been infringed upon and wants an immediate injunction against sales of Nyko's controller."

This is just plain rediculous!! After i read this i just thought about all the controllers i bought that were third party. I had 2 PS1 controlers by a third party both of wich worked well, and one XBOX controller by logitec that was and still is excelent! Today i went to Gamestop and purchaced the Nyko Wireless Nunchuk, and honestly, it works amazingly well. I had one hickup, it lost its connection mid game b/c i touched the connect button, that was human error and not the device's fault. Once i reconnected everything went smoothly again. I realy can't stand when a company thats raking in so much money like nintendo is, is complaining about a small thing like a third party controller, thats actually BETTER than the original!!!! Come on Nintendo, whats next, suing the battery companies for making batteries that last too long??

The only thing I have to say about this whole scandal revolving around Jeff...

...is refer back to an editorial I made a long time ago. It was never given a place on the Soapbox here on GS...I wonder why?

I would specifically like you to pay close attention to this paragraph:

"In this world of ours, money talks and bs walks. Famitsu 360 is a 360 magazine. The sponsoring and promotion for Dead or Alive Xtreme 2 have been rather intense for thisgame over the past month. DOAX2 received a 35/40 and Capcom's flagship title Lost Planet 'only' got a 34/40. What we may be seeing is Famitsu refraining from biting the hand that feeds. Then again, maybe they were the only ones ballsy enough to admit to a truer value of the game."

Look What Ive Got

After playing Halo 3 practically none stop, all be it the little pause of two weeks it took for my 360 to get back from repair, I have finally got all 1000/1000 achievements from this game, now im no achievement junkie but as im a die hard Halo fan I wanted this for a number of reasons, firstly just as its Halo 3 and I like the game that much and secondly because of this new armor I got. How freakin cool is this, ever since seeing the security armour I have wanted it and finally got it, and without cheating or boosting my achievementsI may add, which I hate when I go into a game and theres always some ten year old kid going "Anyone want the Overkill achievement".

Anyhow I have also purchased COD 4 and I may add that both single player and multi player of this game are amazing, the multiplayer is stunning and the single player is easilly its strongest point, big dramatic fire fights, amazing scrpted sequences, great weapon balancing audio and characters, it is a amazing game, that i highly reccomend.

And finally if you get the time or even get the chance to read this check out myfile shareif you can please download and comment a few of my videos, clips and images and rate please, thats it for now see you all on Halo. Just search me in bungie.net and type in Duality90, I did put a link but Gamespot wouldent allow it to work due to some error.

Terror and (the) Darkness

Heyzorslsw

Recently, games-wise, i have been very, very busy. Exams are over, and in the aftermath people are unwinding. This for me and many friends (including big pimpin 99 and... ed) has involved 3 hours or more of Gears every night this week, with an amazing amount of violence and sustained banter. Basically, school, although lasting another week, is simply going through the motions and obliged to fill in term time with videos and hangman, meaning that no-one has any homework or obligation to be particularly sharp at school the nect day, leading to long nights of n00bp00nage.

The mode we've been playing is execution, with 5 second bleed out, meaning that all the politeness of 'by all means, take the kill' has been destroyed, leaving brutal, bloody violence abounding. I personally have been honing my skills with the sniper rifle, and have consistently racked up 20 to 30 headshots a night. The fact that the mode is execution gives these skull breaking shots more of a reason than just pride, as taking the head off an enemy is the one sure way to take him down at range. The fact that Gears of War moves so elegantly between the tactical and the frantic. One minute, you and a teammate (ie ed) may be sniping and spotting, using a machine gun and voice to mark out targets for the sniper to take out (it just takes one ill judged lean), and then the next your enemy has advanced using smoke and covering fire and you find yourselves engulfed in a fast-paced melee of shotgun and chainsaw. Brilliant.

My top 3 moments on this week's Gears have been:

3) 4 chainsaw kills in a round. You should have been there.

2) Trying to fight the Tyro Station train with my team (lol)

1)Saving a downed teamate from certain death by sniping and removing the brains of an enemy who was IN THE PROCESS of curb-stomping him. The X button had been pressed and in a split second the massive foot would have rendered my teammate's face into meatballs. It was an amazing shot

gears

That was the moment i got the shot. Exactly.

I also picked up The Darkness yesterday, and finished it just now. It is an amazing game, and would normally not be my thing but on playing it I am very glad I did. Fantastic stuff.

In the real world, and new Prime Minister Brown has had one of the hardest first weeks in history. As he came in Britain was flooded, and now Britain seems to be in the start of a summer offensive by terrorists. Two massive car bombs were found in London and yesterday, a flaming Jeep Cherokee rammed the main terminal at Glasgow Airport, gutting it. The country's on critical alert, the highest threat level, meaning that an imminent attack is expected, and these attacks may only be the harbingers of an offensive not seen since the IRA in the 70s and 80s. In many ways it is similair. The terrorists do not HAVE to kill people, only to frighten and disrupt them, something which they have done. Central London is closed off, Glasgow is in chaos and every strategic point in the country has increased security (Newcastle airport, for example has erected armed roadblocks to stop acces in cars to the terminal building). There have been controlled explosions and bomb threats all over not just Britain but the world (NY JFK was evacuated after a hoax yesterday). The terrorists are doing everything right. They need only bomb, or have viable devices found occasionally to keep the threat there, and let hoaxes and confusion do the rest.

On a personal level, I have had a fantastic week, as Ialways do. Plenty of Gears and amazing exam results, as well as anticipation of the summer have kept spirits high. I am especially looking forward to Summer Camp, and the ability to run around in the dark with a gun like the one at the top of the page.with some good friends for a week. After that, Spain, Italy and Elba. Genius.

Au revoir

Wishlist for Xbox360
What up people?! Sorry, I haven't been checking up on Gamespot lately. I've been working a lot. From time to time, I've erased my old wishlist and will be constantly changing it so I can decide about what game I TRULY want. So here's my current list. They are MK vs. DC, Fallout 3, (Batman: Arkham Asylum), and (Call of Duty 5) . The names of the games that are quoted in parentheses are the ones that I WILL play first and foremost.

EA, Who Do They Think They Are.
In A Recent Newsweek Article, CEO Larry Probst Of Electronic Arts Said This Regarding Sony's PSP: "I think what moves the needle is a new form factor that's smaller than
the existing unit, at a lower price, and hopefully that price is US$100
or lower".

"Moves The Neddle"? Is he Saying The Needle Is Heading Toward Empty? But Then Why Are Sales Of the PSP Up 280%! In North America. And A Lower Price. If They Want To Make Games For A Hand Held With A Lower Price Then Maybe They Should Focus On Porting Games To The DS Rather Than The PSP. When Asked If EA Was Possibly Developing New IP For The PSP He Replies, "It's more likely that we would target platforms like the PS3, Xbox 360 or Nintendo Wii
if we had an original in mind. Our strategy on PSP has typically been
to take the franchises that we build on other platforms and exploit
them on the PSP".

First Off I Don't Like The Word "Exploit". Lets Take A Moment To Define That Word. Exploit - to utilize, esp. for profit; turn to practical account, to use selfishly for one's own ends. This May Be Definition Number 2 But It Fits Well When Someone From EA Is Using The Word.

Second. "if we had an original in mind". Since When Has Anything EA Been Original. EA Is A Company Of Series. Sports Game Series, Racing Game Series, and Don't Forget Movie Games (They Get Extra Money From The Movie Production Companies For Those). Originallity? Look At The Burnout Series For Example. EA Didnt Create Such A Unique Game. Acclaim Did. And When EA Saw The Game Rise In Popularity They Snathced It From Them.

Sure The New Madden For The Wii Could Be Considered Original. With The Nun-Chuck Controls And All. But Even When You Think About That.... Look At It This Way. Nintendo Has A New Console. EA Wants.... Needs To Do Like It Does With Every Other Game And Port It On All Systems. So They Scramble and Come Up With A Way To Play The Game With The Wii's Unique Controler System. In The End The Originallity Goes To Nintendo On Thie One Not EA.

So It Comes Down To This. Summarizing, EA CEO Larry Is Basically Saying This, The PSP Is Doing Bad Because Of Its High Price.

Yet As PSP Sales Grow EA Has Yet To Release An Original PSP Game.

We're Going To Hell Anyway..... Let's Travel First Class

So its the aftermath of fridays rather bangin party and big Bs and sufficient to say im  as tired as chris is horny. This morning my head felt like lead and was awoken with hannah jumpin on my bed telling me 2 get up, nice but...painful. So rewind to friday night, hannah sami and chris at mine, the mood was high. Having started off by goin the wrong house we finally arrived at the right venue, B's own maison. So wen i 1st got there i wuz a bit worried id taken han 2 the wrong thing wt when the partay started i realised this was a very very good idea. Chris, firstly, got very pissed and i was worried how he'd be in the morning, sami remained sober but sociable and i started drinkin a few, as did Han. Chris was making a fool o himself, bt it was funny and no1 minded, sami chatted while me nd han ventured round the garden, chatting and drinking, before long we were quite drunk and horny and found a lovely little spot against a garden wall with some1 being sick next 2 us and B's mates telling me 2 get stuck in there. It was very very cool being able to be out in public with hannah without worrying about jenny or people seeing us as we're now offiical. so we stumbled around, pulling and falling over in a very intoxicated state. I tried smoking quite a few times, which i no was dumb but i wanted to try it, it was HORRIBLE and i realli wont again but it was ok just to try,  tasted of coal, i wouldnt reccommend. After the party had winded down we all walked home. Sami controlling chis, me nd han acting very stupid and stumbling over eachother. Eventually we found a spot to sit down  and sortof sobered up before returning home where dad offered us more booze, we stupidly took it. Having watched south park till 1, we wre all shattered and needed bed. Han stayed in the spare room that night but i regularly visited her so it was k   It was a great experience and id lyk to go to more partys with tht crew, and the rest of teh group obviously. Of course id never smoke again and i know my limits drinking wise but to be drunk with hannah wuz  VERY cool, sami wuz coolly sober while chris i just think did not no what he was doin. Well i look forward to a sunday of revision tomorrow, meh. Well till next time.

Shadow Run
have anyone heard of Shadow run apparently the online version is going to be great, it links 360 live to computer online so that gamers from pc and 360 world can battel it out, and it combines magic with futuristic shooter, you can fly and everything, and apparently they say that when they are playing the game they've been playing it for 2 years and they still like it and they still take it home over the week end to play it! (come on it cant be that good) altought it does seem fun, kinda like a nintendo game with gor.
