Working early & gaming sneak preview.
I worked 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. today but tomorrow I have to be into work at 4:30 a.m. tomorrow morning which sucks, but also means I will be lurking around the forums most of the afternoon in between housework and gaming. I bought a new ps3 last night and donated my older one to go downstairs so my little brother and sister can play it when there are adults around. They are 10 and 11 and both are into gaming, so I'm trying to keep them interested. My little brother also has a ps2 in his room that I gave him when I got the older ps3 I just mentioned. I also bought my little brother and sister 19" :CD HDTV's for their rooms since they both needed newer TV's because the ones they had were old. We did Christmas on Sunday because that's when it worked out for my older brother and his gf to come over with their kids to do it. I also bought my older brother a ps3 for Christmas because he's wanted one for a while but with having kids he doesn't have as much spare money to spend on gaming as I do, so I figured I might as well give him an upgrade as well.
I've been thinking about looking into what it'd take to get into recording some of my ps3 gameplay to upload on to here for some of you to watch, but that might be a while yet because first I have to figure out what I'll need for it exactly, and then go and get it.
Since I have the new ps3 I am playing through GTA IV to get 100% completion again on the new ps3, and then I will need to play through and Platinum Call of Juarez again, but that should be a good time and I'm looking forward to it instead of looking at it as a hassle.
After I finish off those games I plan to get a few of the games I have been thinking about getting and finishing them off as well.
First on the list will definitely be Batman: Arkham Asylum since from watching a few videos on it I think it looks simply amazing and moved up to the top of my must play list. I also plan on picking up both Uncharted games, 1 & 2. This will most likely be on my way home from work Christmas Eve since I also get paid that day. Hopefully I have the other 2 games finished off by then, but if not I will probably be close to doing so.
Tomorrow when I have more time I will make another blog with a more defined list of the games I've been looking into getting and be taking suggestions for more. So much to do, but all of it I'm looking forward to doing as well so it should be a grand time.
But I'm off to bed now for work early, so have a good night and take care and I'll see those of you that are around tomorrow.

To Be All I Can Be
For years now I have been enjoying the hospitality of the GameSpot Forums. Enthralled in the community and enjoying losing myself in posts, getting to know users, racking up stats and having a good time on here. This definitely isn't a I'm leaving GameSpot blog. It's actually the opposite. I will probably be spending even more time on GameSpot, I just won't be spending all my time on the forums here posting myself into oblivion. If that means giving up my #1 posting spot on GS to be more productive and feel better about myself on here then I think it's worth the statistical loss to respect myself more on how I conduct myself on here. There is still a lot I need to learn about GameSpot, and a lot more helping out within the community I can be doing other than just posting all hours of the day and really not accomplishing anything except inflating that little number on the bottom of my username. Today I begin a new level here on GameSpot. I'm Level 38 now, DJ Boy.... and in a way I ironically feel like a boy instead of a man on here. So as I grow with this level I think it's time I hone my skills that I already have on here, learn some new trades and things about this place and be a more diverse member here enjoying all that GameSpot has to offer instead of just posting and not doing anything else.
It's been fun, and it will continue to be fun. Enjoy the #1 spot on GameSpot F, because I know you will be passing me soon, and it's something that you really want and being the statistically oriented user that you are I know you will enjoy being on top more than I ever did. I have other things to do on here besides just post, and it's about time I got off my ass and actually started doing what I am capable of. Look forward to future update blogs on my new beginning here on GameSpot, because I will actually have time for blogs and other things now that I'm not just in the forums.
I love you all here, and I hope you understand why I am doing something I feel that I need to do, and genuinely want to do. See all of you around and I wish you the best while I am trying to become the best I can be on here as well. Thank you for taking the time to read my blog, it is sincerely appreciated.

F, Statistics and Postanometry
Well, it's that time of year again. No not Christmas, but the monthly update for the Top 75 Posters. I updated it this morning in My UCB The Open Communication Center. If you would like to go directly to the thread, then here is the link for that - GameSpot's Top 75 Posters - December 2009. Some of the big posters since the November 15th Update are as follows: double_decker = 135,728 (+5,483 posts), papermariofan57 = 70,262 (+5,311 posts), Cloud_765 = 41,772 (+4,832 posts), Just PlainLucas = 55,113 (+2,554 posts), fastesttruck = 121,579 (+2,520 posts), julian_jr = 60,285 (+2,243 posts), horgen123 = 62,005 (+2,153 posts), MoonFoxx = 79,528 (+1,610 posts), cousin_eddy = (+1,038 posts) and LJS9502_basic = 86,209 (+1,081 posts).
I'd like to give a special congratulations to papermariofan57 who moved up 4 spots to #10 on the list. horgen123 who moved up 3 spots to take #16. julian_jr who moved up 5 spots to take #18. JustPlainLucas who moved up 4 spots to take #26. And last but certainly not least would be Cloud_765 who moved up 17 spots to take #52 on the list!
Feel free to leave a comment in here on bringing GameSpot some much needed activity. For those that think the boards have slowed down you just must not be looking in the right places.
Congratulations everyone and good luck to all on future updates.

Wonder this...
So time for another blog about one of the users that post at my UCB The Open Communication Center. This user is no other than 2ndWonder.
What is there to say about this user? Most people already know him, he's been on the forums of GameSpot before I started being active here. His name is Jay and he always has a nice word for everyone. He spends hours on GameSpot lurking, posting and just being there for others. Whether it's a friendly hello or making a thread to give a board something new to talk about. He's been a close friend to me on here for a long time and remembers when I was some newb poster trying to make his way on the boards. He seems to be everywhere and, to me at least, describes what a quality user on GameSpot should be. He also helps keep stats for the site by keeping track of the Top 25 User Levels which I am sure is no easy task. So if you don't already know this user then feel free to look him up in Off-Topic Discussion or in my UCB and get to know him better. I'd just like to take the time to thank you Jay for all you have contributed to GameSpot and for always being a friend to me on here, someone I can depend on to be there if I need someone there. It's an honor to know someone like yourself.
Have a good night everyone and I hope your Thanksgiving dinner's don't leave you too stuffed to get to know this wonder user here on GameSpot.

Since msudude hasn't been around for some reason
and there needed to be a few people added to the list I decided to do the update for my board since some users were asking for it. I finished it a few days ago but have been busy with offline things and catching up on some boards last night so I didn't get a chance to blog about it until now. If you would like to take a look then here is the link for you.

I'm feeling like netflix today so I won't be bouncing around the boards today but if you'd like to have some conversation I'll be at my UCB keeping an eye on it while watching my shows on Netflix. I may make some rounds later on depending on my mood and what's going on, otherwise see you around my UCB in between watching some Netflix and doing a few more loads of laundry.
Here is the link to my User Created Board in case you don't already have it for your convenience.

Mysterious Mistress
There are girls on the internet, and some of them actually come here.
Although there are definitly alot more guys here at GameSpot than there are girls I'd like to do a blog about one of the few female posters that post at my UCB. MistressMinako who has a UCB of her own called Mina's Mansion. I don't know this user very well because she started posting at GameSpot when I was on break from here getting over a break up. But she's nice and easy to talk to. She's in her early 20s (A gentleman never reveals the actual age
) and she seems to like to post as much as some of us guys do, which is really rare since I can think of only 2 other female users here that have high post counts. She prefers talking on the phone over texting or posting and she loves cheesecake and has a good, healthy sense of humor even if sometimes it's hard to tell if she is serious or just b.s.ing me. But she's a confirmed female user here (I have saw pictures and saw her on webcam, fully clothed for the record you pervs
) so if you see here around, give her a hey and tell her you read this blog about her the other day and that she now owes you $5 for taking the time to read this about her.
There you go Allie, now there's a blog about you as well so now you should know to be careful what you ask for.
Anyways, I'll be around most of the day in between the many loads of laundry that I have to do but by tonight it'll be all completed. This weekend went fast as do most of them and I go back to work tomorrow, then have Tuesday off so I'm in my short stretch of work right now, but when I go back to work on Wednesday it will be 7 straight days of it before having another day off so I guess it all evens out. Hope all of you had a good weekend as well and I'll see you around the boards.

All Hail Kale!
This blog is dedicated to a user that I have known a long time on here and is one of my Mod's at my UCB. Of course this user is known as The_Zoid. His name is Kale, most users that know him know that already. He's a friendly user, and I have never saw him say an unkind word to anyone. He enjoys playing Guitar Hero and then talking about it for hours on the forums bragging about his uber skills.
But on a serious note, if you don't know this user you should make an effort to do so because he really is a nice guy and it's sad that he can't be around much now days because life tends to get busy sometimes, but he's still a valued user IMO and I always look forward to having him around. So if you see him around the boards (he posts at a variety of places when he is online) make sure to say hello and give him a few minutes of your time and odds are he will grow on you as he has me.
Now that Kale has his few minutes of fame on my blog I shall give you a quick update on myself. Things are good, I went out last night and drank way too much booze, but it was worth it because I had a great time and I surprisingly don't have a hangover.
I have the weekend off so I'll be online a while today but I don't know yet if I am going out later or not, I'll not that for sure later on, but if nobody calls me and wants me to go out drinking I think I'm just going to be lazy online and take it easy and save some money. But we'll see, only time can tell. I'll be checking out some blogs before going to my UCB and catching up there since I have several days behind so keep an eye for some comments.
Otherwise I'll see you around and I hope everything has a great weekend and things are well for everyone. Take care and thank you for taking the time to read my blog.

From the heart...
I've been here a long time, not as long as some users sure, but I've put in the time and the miles on here. I've saw alot, done alot on here and I don't mean just post count either. I come to GameSpot because I love to meet new members, get to know new members and to talk with those that I already know. Over that time I have come to know (IMO) many great users here.
From jakeboudville, 2ndWonder, 3DayFinisher, andyxm, blackleech, blackrytonite, canana, Canuck3000, certifieddata, ChaosRyder665, Cougarhart61, Cutekitten6_18, DanC1989, darksword1123, deathskitten, Devvy01, DrSponge, ElBanano216, enormousaxie, fastesttruck, ff7fan2, freakyzeeky1986, funkadelichika, GameFreak315, horgen123, IonescoF, julian_jr, KHfanboy2, LJS9502_basic, Lord_Daemon, megagene, zakkro, to MoonFoxx.
All those users and many more, from the first post with them have made me feel like family here. I was sitting here looking at my UCB and thinking about all the good times we used to have there and thinking to myself... "Why should it come to an end?" It's been a long road, from some users leaving, some less active, to myself taking several months off. Still, contrary to some, GS is still a great place, I love it here, and I miss that family feeling.
So, if you want to be a part of my GS family, and help to make a place that was once great that way again then come to my UCB and make your own place there, I can't do it alone, so I hope to see you there.

Brownies...
So here I am, making a blog 2 days in a row... surprising huh?
Yeah, it is to me as well. I doubt I will keep up with making one every day but I do hope to stick with this blogging thing a little more and using the features of this site a little more than just for posting when I am around. (Although don't get me wrong, I still love to post.
) I've also been trying to comment on other user's blogs more over the past few days as well, also something I haven't been very good at doing in the past. Who knows, maybe one of these nights coming up I will make a video blog for old times sake as well.
Also something interesting, to me at least (
), I might even go check out the News section on GS since I haven't done that in forever as well and see what I have been missing out on.
Now to the name of this blog, why is it named Brownies you may ask yourself? Well, because I fixed a girl from work's laptop for her for free because her little brother messed it up and she needed it for school but couldn't afford to get it fixed by someplace before she needed it again. So I decided to be a nice guy and fix it for her for free since her birthday was coming up I told her just to consider it an early birthday present. But she has decided to bake me some brownies for fixing her laptop for her, so not a bad deal IMO.
I wish more people were like that now days. Someone does something nice for you, you do something nice for them in return. Of course that's not why I was nice in fixing her computer, I didn't expect or want anything in return but it's good to know that there are still others around that think that way as well. Where most others would have just said thanks and never done anything in return or mentioned it again she decided to make the fat guy some brownies for his trouble.
Which is really sweet, although she doesn't know that I don't like brownies because I didn't tell her that because she seemed really happy to be doing something in return for me helping her out. (Those that know me better know that I don't care for alot of junk food) But it's all good because I have a little sister that loves brownies so I will just give them to her when I bring them home from work and she'll be all happy about that.
It's little things like this that make the world a great place IMO. Sure there is alot of bad things going around, especially in today's world, but taking the time to notice and appreciate little acts of kindness like this is what makes me look forward to the future in today's world. Anyways, before I end up writing a short story here I should wrap this thing up huh?
All is well with me, and I hope all is well with everyone here too. Work is over with, soon the housework will be completed and I will be coming to the forums for a little posting before taking my nightly shower and watching some netflix before bed. So overall, today was good and I'm hoping for more of the same tomorrow. So next time you have the time to do something nice for someone you know, or don't know for that matter, take the time and help them out because who knows, maybe making them feel better will make you feel better as well.

November 1st. 2009
Ah, Sunday, one of the very few days I actually get to have some relaxation time. Between work and housework I don't get too much time to sit and relax. I had a great weekend. Went out and drank too much, spent too much but also had alot of fun so overall I have to say that it was worth it. Nothing really new on the gaming front, haven't even been playing them the past week but I am sure I will get back to them soon enough. Made some time for netflix but haven't watched as much as I would have liked to or had enough time for GameSpot either but I've been trying to do both. Lately it just seems there isn't enough hours in the day to do everything that I want to, but I like it that way too because I'd rather have it that way than sitting around bored and having the day just drag on and on.
Everything is good with the family and at work. Feels good to have a job that I love even if I won't get rich doing it I'd rather take the higher quality of life than the higher paycheck. I work with great people and actually look forward going to work most days. With the benefits and still alot of room to go up in pay still I feel appreciated for the work I do and that's something I haven't had in really any other job that I worked at. When I worked for Godfather's Pizza in Iowa I enjoyed that job as well but it was more fun since I didn't have benefits, paid time off or make a decent wage.
If you haven't been able to tell yet this is a random blog with me talking about whatever is on my mind, so if you are looking for substance you probably shouldn't be reading this.
Today has been good, I've got laundry about half done and I'm watching some football (Vikings vs. Packers currently). In a little while I'll probably watch some netflix, I'm currently working on Season 4 of Law & Order SVU. I'm hoping to finish season 4 off tonight before going to bed for work in the morning. I also upped my subscription to 3 DVD's in home on top of the watching instantly feature since when I get through the movies I want to watch I will be going to some of the seasons I like and it'll be easier to get through them with 3 at a time instead of 1. I haven't decided what show I want to watch first though. I'm thinking Family Guy, then American Dad, Sopranos, Deadwood, House, Oz and who knows after that.
Anyways, as you can see, all is well and I hope all is well with you too. Feel free to let me know how you are doing as well and if you have any questions just ask and I will get to them as soon as I can.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.... those of you that actually did... see what I did there? I put the thank you at the end so you had to read through all of that just to get to it.

Tagged.. 10 things huh?
Well I have been tagged and since I actually talk to the user who tagged me I feel it would be rude to not answer the call, but keep in mind I am not very good at such things so don't expect anything awesome from me or anything.
1.) My name is David Decker. I'm a pretty boring sort. I work, go out with friends on the weekend and the rest of my time is taken up with either video games, reading, housework or watching tv/movies.
2.) I'm 26 years old, I was born 8-5-83. I was born in Massachusetts, but I've moved around a lot since then. I've lived in MA, PA, NY, IA and then back to PA and now currently I live in NY.
3.) I have an older brother who is 28, a younger sister who is 11 and a younger brother who is 10.
4.) Because of the little siblings I stay at home. Since I don't date anymore (bad relationship history) I prefer to live at home to help my mom out with the housework since her bf (he's not my father, my father passed away in 2005) that way she can actually relax when she gets home from work. Although I also work full time myself and make enough to live on my own and support myself if I chose to do so.
5.) I'm one of the fattest users on GameSpot on top of having the most posts on the site. I'm 6'1'' 300 lbs. Where most users on GS don't come even close to that.
6.) I'm one of the few people now days that actually read more than they watch TV. I mainly just read westerns, but I've almost read alot of Stephen King, Dean Koontz and John Grisham. Some of my favorite western authors are Zane Grey, Louis L'Amour, William Johnstone, Ralph Compton and Ralph Compton
7.) For gaming I am definitly only a casual gamer. I mainly just play sports games and westerns with an occassional other genre game thrown in here and there. I don't care for RPG's, Fantasy or Sci Fi games so that means 90% of the games that come out I'm not interested in. I also don't game online, I spend enough time online *looks at post count*
so when I game it's my downtime.
8.) I'm a cook for a local hospital here in Elmira, NY. I'm happy there, I have benefits, paid time off (8 hours for every 40 that I work) and every other weekend and every other holiday off. I love who I work with and I don't see myself working anyplace else in the future.
9.) I don't follow sports as closely as I used to but my favorite sports are baseball and football. My teams are the 49ers and Chicago White Sox. I don't watch a lot of college football but when I do USC is usually the team I go for, either them or Ohio State with some Nebraska thrown in.
10.) This is reserved for those of you that want to know more about me than what is listed above, so feel free to ask in the comments section below and I'll do my best to get to them in a timely manner.

I won't be here much...
Nobody really posts at my UCB anymore and I don't get alot of blog comments so since nobody else wants to make an effort then why should I? This is an end of an era, I'm gone. If I do come on here it will be OT only.
Another Day, Another $1
Hope all has been well with everyone. Things have been good here except for another addition to my Moderation History. But it was only a Warning so I took the hint and left where it happened at and have moved on from that. Just learned my lesson and won't be talking to any Mods anymore that's for sure. Otherwise things have been good. Work is the usual and I'm working on getting the rest of my trophies for Call of Juarez between work and housework. So when I'm gaming I pretty much stick to posting in my UCB. I will be there for a few more hours tonight while playing some Call of Juarez before going to bed somewhat early for work tomorrow. Hope all is well with everyone else and look forward to seeing you around. Have a good night everyone.
Woohoo Friday!
I will be on for a while but not sure how long because I am going out tonight just not sure exactly what time, but probably not for at least a few hours. I hope you enjoyed your cruise Princess-peach
It's ok 2ndWonder, maybe next time
Sorry I wasn't on last night, but I worked until 7:00 p.m. and had to work early this morning. So by the time I got home, did the housework, eat dinner, and shower it was already kind of late so I just watched a little tv until I was tired enough to go to sleep. I have this weekend off so I should be around a good amount but at night I probably won't be around because I have plans both Friday (tonight) and Satuday night. But for a while tonight before going out, tomorrow morning and afternoon, and Sunday I should be around so hope to see some of you around the boards. Otherwise have a great weekend, be safe but have a good time as well.
Party Time!!!
Here I am, doing some drinking and posting. I will be at my UCB for several hours tonight getting my drink on so if you want to come on over feel welcome to. Otherwise have a good night and talk to you some other time.
Return of the Loser.
Well, I told both of the girls that were supposed to meet me the other night (their idea, wasn't mine) and ended up not showing up that I didn't appreciate being treated like that and that I wasn't going to go out with them anymore. That I'd stick to going out with friends that I knew wouldn't leave me by myself and feeling like crap about myself. They didn't like it but I really don't care either. I only let someone do something like that to me once. They are gone from my life except for work now and maybe in time I will meet some dependable friends to replace them. If not I have plenty to keep busy, so life goes on.
Finally finished getting Animal Crossing back to real time yesterday so needless to say my gaming stuff I had for this year is pretty much done with so I will be around the boards alot more than over the past several months now that I don't have so many other things to do. I still have a few things left to do on Call of Juarez, but I've already played through the story mode once so the rest I can work on here and there when I feel like it or when the boards are slow. Which as of late has been quite a lot. Nothing really coming out in the near future I want to play until Red Dead Redemption comes out sometime in 2010. I may pick up a few games here and there to help pass the time but RDRedemption is the next one coming out that I really want to play and am looking forward to coming out.
It's been a long time coming, from getting over a bad break up to barely being here because of being busy with multiple things it has seemed like almost forever since I've been able to look forward to some days of just working and coming home to be on here, being lazy and losing myself in posts. Needless to say I am going to enjoy it while it lasts and it may not be a good time for some of you, but it sure will be for me.
Thank you for the comments on my last blog, it is appreciated even if it's not how I feel. But either way, whether I feel that way or not it does make me feel good that I am thought of positively here by some users and is one of the reasons I keep coming back to this place. Because of the users around here that do care and I know I can depend on to be there no matter what the reason is.

I am a loser.
Some friends asked me to go out tonight and have a few drinks. They went out of their way to ask me so I thought awesome, this should be a good time. We were supposed to meet up at a bar by where I live around 9:00 p.m. tonight. Well here it is, 11:36 p.m. and I'm back home because they didn't show and completely blew me off. Needless to say, I am very angry and this will be the last time I attempt to do anything with them. I should have known my place and just stayed online, being the fat and ugly loser I am I shouldn't have thought people would actually want to do something with me. From now on it's just work and home for me. Don't bother with the nice comments. I don't want them, I'm tired of hearing the same old stuff when I should have just saw it for what it was. Just people trying to make me feel better. It's easy to say things online to make someone feel better and tell them how great they are. But when it comes right down to it, real life offline is where it matters and I'm tired of going out and trying to prove otherwise that I'm not a loser and that someone might actually want someone like me in their life. I fail, I accept, game over and I'm done. The game has been shut off and I am no longer playing it. From this day on I am no longer going to be the same person, I'm tired of trying to care and have a life when it gets nothing for the effort but disappointment. From now on I will just do what it takes to get through the day until this life is finally over. Maybe the next life will be better or I will spend an eternity in hell. Only time can tell and I'll know for sure when I get there.
Waste of Space
This blog is about nothing really. Just kind of letting those of you know what I will be up to today. Which is not very much. I will pretty much just be in My UCB all day while working on getting Animal Crossing back to real time now that I have all the Golden Tools. So that will be my project for around the next month depending on how much I procrastinate and spend on here. Then I can get back to Call of Juarez and finish the few things I have left on there. But I have that game nearly finished, all I need is a few more trophies (except the online ones, I won't get those since I don't game online). So anyhoo, thank you for taking the time to read this brief, mostly pointless blog of mine. See you around and hope you have a great day.
Shh.. It's a Secret ***Spoiler Warning***
Well here I sit, just finished playing Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood. Needless to say, I loved it, from every cutscene, to the duels, to finding every secret in the game. (89) Which is why it took me around 13.5 hours of gameplay to get through the storyline instead of the 5-6 hours it probably would have taken me to get through it without taking the time to find the secrets. So without further delay here is the list for those that desire to look. Of course, if you have the game and found all 89 of them there is no need to check of course.
***SPOILER***
There they all are, if you read them I hope you enjoyed getting to know them all if you haven't found them all yet or didn't play the game and just read through them for the heck of it. They aren't word for word on the voice clips, or exact on all the Art descriptions, but close enough so you get the jist of what each one is at least. It took me a long time to get this done and it's really late now. Maybe some other night when I have the time I will go through and get them exactly they way they are in the game, but no promises on that either. For the Art descriptions the ones without a description except for the first one are all the Matthew Brady Collection. (Army) Exact Date Shot Unknown after the general description of the photo/ art drawing. This also is the bulk of my gaming agenda for what I have right now but I will keep those of you posted on my gaming exploits that are interested. Also, thank you for taking the time to read this extremely long blog entry, it really is appreciated.
(Those that did read it all
)

Bound in Blood Volume 1
Ok, finally sat down to some game time with this instead of posting on the forum, partying, working, reading or housework. Needless to say I am liking it alot. I'm only on Chapter 7 right now but that's partly because I am taking the time to find all the secrets and explore around instead of just flying through the storyline. Have alot of trophies as well but not nearly all of them. I also have 39 out of the 89 secrets unlocked or something like that, I'm too lazy to go back into the game and see exactly how many. The dueling was hard at first but after getting used to the controls it's quite enjoyable and I love the graphics. Very crisp and clear with solid cutscenes I am also enjoying very much. I prefer using Ray but both characters are useful, but with Ray being stronger you don't die near as much (at least I don't) and the missions go a little faster because when I play with Thomas I try my best to stay back with the rifle and use cover alot more rather than the stand in the middle of the street and gun them all down tactic (not literally but close, I do use some cover with Ray) that I use with Ray. I'm looking forward to getting alot more done on this game tomorrow, but I got tired so I figured I would pack it in for tonight since there really is no rush although I wanted to play it straight through tonight and finish it off but I'm just too tired after a little too much partying the past few days. So now I'm off to do my watering for Animal Crossing and then to bed, I'm sure I will be on some tomorrow, just not sure exactly when since I have some housework to do and I plan to at least get close to finishing off the storyline in Call of Juarez. Take care everyone and hope all is well.
If anyone has any questions about the game just ask and I will answer the best I can.
