Hello, Level updates and DVD temptations....

Hello everbody, how are you all?

Things are going OK "ish" for me... I have had a nice couple of days writing show reviews and posting in the forum (I made my 100th post yesterday ) I am still on level 6 and 84% which is the same as I was on Monday night - I am not sure whether the site didn't update me or whether I haven't contributed enough the last couple of days. O well, let's see what happens with tonights update before moaning too much! I also see they have fixed the "edit profile" pop up page, which is great becasue I am now classed as a male again which is cool.

I have been trying to decide if I should spend some of my cash this week on a new X-files box set which has been released in the UK. It looks pretty good because it has every episode in it and loads of extras. The only thing missing is the film that they did. I am tempted to buy it as I don't have any X-files DVD's and I have never seen all the episodes - especially in the correct order... the thing that's giving me second thoughts is the price. It costs £140 which I think is about $245 - and it's close to Christmas What would you do... Is it worth it???

Other than that, there hasn't been much going on to report about I'm afraid. I suppose I could say the weather is freezing and I haven't even started my Christmas shopping yet, but then I would feel like I'm waffling on about nothing, so I'll leave it here

Hope everbody is well and happy, and I will see you again in a day or so. Bye

I have got my Christmas list started. I am trying to come up with ideas for everyone.
$245 is way over budget for me. I would probably hedge my bet that the price would come down at some poitn in the future and wait. But that is just me.

I have a lot of DVD's on my Christmas list as well. And on my birthday list too because that's in little less than two weeks. The X-Files box set does sound a little pricey but I couldn't blame you for buying it. In fact I know that for my birthday I'll be getting a $300 box-set for a show which has only 19 episodes. Yes I know, it's crazy but the DVD's are out of print so it's become a collector now. Plus it's one of my all-time favorite shows and I really need to have it on DVD so I can overhaul the guide here now that I've gained editorship for it.

Hi Draskers! Is that the sales price? Well...I usually buy my dvds at Sam Goody here in Hawaii. I belong to their "club", which means that I earn points everytime I buy something. I wait until they have their "triple points day". So far I've received over $800 in rebates. I use the rebates to buy the pricier dvd sets. If I were you, I'd get the X-files set...I'm a big fan of the X-files.
