Stop what you're doing and GO SEE THIS MOVIE!
Its simply amazing. Its the new Wes Anderson film, his (and 20th Century's) first stop motion with voices by Bill Muray, Owen Wilson, Meryl Streep, Jason Schwartzman, George Clooney and the non mentioned but well appreciated Willem Dafoe. The characters, story and dialogue are a tastefully twisted take on Roald Dahl's 1970 story book. The quirky soundtrack and original character design and cinematography tie it together to make a wonderful adventure.
The original story is a children's book and with this kind of animation and humor a child audience is inevitable. I don't think I've ever seen a movie that is as appropriate for children as it is for adults while completely mantaining its charm. This being Anderson's first child appropriate film has given me a new admiration for the director. This may very well be my new favorite Wes Anderson film, as well as one of the best movie I've seen this year.
