Too Tired to Think
I really am too tired to come up with a clever post name, so that's it.
Who knew how insane the kitchen of a retirement community could be? Mine is really, really crazy. First off, last night, we had a dance night thing. Complete with balloons and a dance floor in the middle of the dining room. Hell of a thing to set up. It was hectic trying to get everyone's drinks and food out to them, cause usually we have a sections of like 4 or 5 tables each, but with this, it's just a free-for-all, serve whoever asks you. It was crazy. And then we got forced to do the twist out in the middle of everything. After, we beat a hasty retreat back to the sanctuary of the kitchen.
I got jokey guy troubles, with one guy sorta liking me, and me crushing on this other guy who is a total flirt. First, we were talking about who can pick up who, with me being the lightest. I got picked up, really high, by the one guy, with my boss walking in about 2 seconds after he put me down, followed by total embarrasment. Then I got picked up by my crush, with the activties guy walking in midlift. He just gave us weird looks and I left quickly.
Then today on my break, there's hilarious drama between the male cook and one of the others. About half the staff is Hispanic, and both female cooks don't know English, so one of their daughters, who also works there waiting, translates some stuff. God, it was more craziness I can't even get into.
It really is a fun job, a lot harder than I figured, and the hours are really killing me, but at least the people are great and the moneys good.
Anniversary
Oh yeah. I almost completely forgot that today is my three year TV.com anniversary. I've only been active for a few months, but this still counts. Happy...um...A-Day, I guess, to me!

God, now that I have a job, it's all I ever do. I'm working killer hours at the retirement home, and I just need a break. It's cutting into all my fun time, including being on here. But it's not too bad. I got paid for my first two days of work last Friday, a pretty good amount, and I'll get paid again in about a week and a half. The people there are great, like really really. Plus there's this cute guy I kinda knew in school, very flirty. And my best friend just applied there today too! Which made my entire day. I hadn't seen him since I cut my hair. I was just happy happy. And oohhhhh......do my knees hurt. But yeah, that's how it's going. Hope it keeps going.
The No Title Post Part Deux
Well, I got the job. I start training tomorrow, like ten hours of it. Gah. But I am just hoping to whoever that I keep this job. Pray and cross fingers and toes and whatever else you can for me. My goal is a week before I party, but if I last through tomorrow, I'll have already beaten my work record. Sad, isn't that?
I need monies for college and this pays well. It's at a retirement community, and I'd be on the wait staff, like during meals. An easy gig, but knowing me, I could easily screw it up.
Oh and also, on a bit lighter note, got the second season of Doctor Who from the library, which isn't that exciting cause I still haven't seen the first, and I've seen almost all of it on TV already, but now work will make me miss the rest, so maybe the DVDs are good after all. And I'm a sucker for extras, commentaries and behind the scenes stuff. Bloopers make me do a happy dance.
Mad World
Ahh, went on a date tonight....I think....pretty sure it was. With the guy who asked me out on my Stubenville trip in Louisiana. We went to see Wall-E, which is just about the cutest movie I have seen in a long, long while. Not sure if he'll ask me out again, and also not sure if I want him to. He was such a gentleman, opening doors and such. He's good at saying in touch though. He's called five times in the past three weeks including today, which is annoying/ nice, not sure which more.
In other news, I might have a job. Pray that I keep it for more than ten hours. That's my record.
