I didn't plan on getting ALL of those games, but I won't complain.

The next logical step is to create a Summer '08 list.... I'll get to work on that.

Here it is. Finally I have decided on which games I am most excited for this year.

As we draw closer to the holidays, games worth playing are finally being released. The following is the list of the games I am most anticipating:

1. HALO 3

While it probably does not suprise any of you that this game would be my number one, it does suprise me. Until last week, I was not on board with the Halo 3 fan parade. It seemed like of more of the same. The multiplayer looks only decent and no news had come out to prove to me that the game was any good. Recent releases in gaming magazines have finally changd my mind. I am super excited for this game!

2. Super Mario Galaxy

Also a late bloomer for me. This game has impressed me more and more as they come out with gameplay videos for it. Being a Mario game, it is sure to be a good game, but from what I am seeing, it has a good chance to be a GREAT game too.

3. Assasins Creed

I hate what Ubisoft has done to Splinter Cell. I love the first 3 games and disliked the 4th. The 5th version appears to be going down a path that I do not want to follow. I have dissowned the series for its brother Assasins Creed. New stealth action in a old world. Both games look very similar (despite the different settings) I think Ubisoft is sharing a lot of code with these games. Despite there similarities. I am only looking for to one of the two stealth games... and it ain't Splinter Cell.

4. Guitar Hero III / Rock Band

I don't know which one I want yet but I will get one of these sweet looking games. The other question is which system to get it for. Rock Band's drums rule but I really want it to be wireless. That is what you get with the Guitar Hero III wireless ( and SWEET!) new guitar. The jury is still out on what game to get, but Harmonix surely has a bunch of winners on the horizon. (Does anyone know if the instruments will be compatible with multiple systems?)

5. Zelda: Phantom Hourglass

Don't know much about it. But I am a diehard Zelda fan who will definetly get the first DS Zelda title.

6. Super Smash Brothers

This game will probably climb my list ladder as more comes out about it . But I already can't wait to see what the Wii can do with a Smash Brothers title.

7. Half-Life 2: Orange Box

I won't get it till it goes down in price, but I still haven't place Episode 1 so EP 1 and 2 should be sweet on the X360. Not to mention Portal and Team Deathmatch.

I have formed a new "Union" that everyone should join. It is a petition of names to get Microsoft and Lionhead to bring back BC. This was a game originally slated for release in '04 on the XBOX. It was canceled very late in production apparently because Peter Molyneux (Creator of FABLE) believed it was too ambitious for its time. This union believes that BC is ready for its comback, and we hope to get enough members to pursuade Lionhead to release this amazing game. Just watch the video above to see the direction the game was going in. It never ceases to make my jaw drop.

If you read my last blog, you know my 360 is broke and past
the original 3 month warrantee. Well thanks to my mother’s (and probably a few
thousand other) dirty letter to Microsoft, the X360 is now warranted to a whole
year. So in a couple to days we will ship our brick out for repair. EH HEM,….
FREE REPAIR. Thank you Microsoft for your cooperation, now be good.

 

Almost exactly 4 months after we bought the XBOX360, the piece of garbage bit the dust. Three lights signally hardware failure is all that remains. $139 repair? LOL, I don't think so! Instead, my family prefers to write angery letters to lazy companies who can't build quality products. I also here that Microsoft is giving free repairs to every 360 system built in 2005. Its a shame that ours was made in March of 06. Bummer. Well, I will find a way to get back at them for making us waste our money. First step, sweatshirts. I have two matching sweatshirts originally from Microsoft the now have the word "Bytes" appropriately  placed beneath "Microsoft". It is a could conversation starter that allows both me and me brother to vent our frustration while try to take sales away from Bill.
(This is a good place to say I am thankful for my Wii which is never warm, always quite, froze only once in over 300 hours of gameplay... during a Madden game that I was getting whomped in {I think it knew I wanted an excuse to quit })

 Reggie is given it to GS straight. And yet its still makes me laugh.

 

New games are coming out for PS3 and Wii and the ratings seem too low to be true. I think the only explanation is that they are planning on upcoming games being far better. That may be true but it shouldn't take away points for the games being released today.
Point and case Zelda TP. I haven't played it yet (although it is sitting on a shelf waiting for the Wii system to arrive), so I can't give my own ratings, but compared to everyone else 8.8 is sadly low. Come on Gamespot, be honest, these first generation of next generation games aren't that bad!

It was only excite truck, but it was awesome! I also picked up my redsteel and zelda games... now I just need the system (wow is it small!!!)

It's coming! The greatest gaming day since... well ever. Streets will be shut down, stores will be closed (it will be Sunday after all) and I will not be answering the phone. The only thing missing from Super Wii Sunday is a half-time show. Maybe I'll call that lunch.

About one month til the Wii release and I have nothing to distract me. There is nothing worse than waiting on the brink of a new system (or game) that you know will be incredible. I can't stand it! I need something to divert my attention. I even went back to GTA: Vice City to seek refuge. (Wow San Andreas is better). Nothing it seems will do until I get my hands on the Wii. TICK TOCK TICK TOCK

I'm done being the Legend of Zelda Confed leader. In fact, i resigned as officer too. I would rather be a lazy, once in a blue moon poster. Looking at games is why I come to Gamespot. SO no more posting for me. Fox out

I must admit, I don't play N64 all that much since it is nearly 2 gaming generations old already but yesterday I went to take a picture of an achievement of mine and was horrified with the results.
Maybe others of you have done the same but I took the time to beat Orcarnia of Time with three unshielded hearts without dying, the most difficult thing I have ever accomplished in a videogame. Sooooo, I was going to take a picture of my achievement when I discovered that someone (likely my brother) deleted that particular file.
I didn't say a word but I can tell you that I was screaming on the inside. My frustration right now cannot be put into words.

13 already? Wow, I have done the least on Gamespot and seemed to increase rank the quickest... so strange.

Well, I am exhausted. I have had finals this week (embarassingly neglected) and have also been promoted to leader status of the Legend of Zelda Confederacy. Couple those things with my favorite week of the year E3 and you can see that I have been unaturally busy.

And I'm Loving every minute of it!
