A Purple Dragon and Turkey!
Thanks for all the well wishes last blog!
The surgery went well and I'm feeling much better now. I wasn't too thrilled with staying in the hospital for 3 days (the food sucked), but I discovered this awesome little thing called the Morphine pump so it wasn't so bad
And I'm pretty sure I had a few messed up dreams while I was under but, thankfully, I can't remember them
In fact, I don't even remember going to sleep. I just remember them hooking me up to an IV, then getting really dizzy. Next thing I know, I'm in the recovery room ![]()
During these past few weeks I've been staying at my parents' house while I recover. All I've been doing is sleeping and playing World of Warcraft (to be fair, it's the only game I have here
). I'll probably be returning to my apartment on Tuesday so it's back to RE5 platinum hunting and, I guess, working on my senior project... maybe ![]()
-Gaming Updates-
Nightnova (Level 80, Night Elf Druid): Got the cool purple dragon mount!

Saayuko (Level 68, Orc Hunter): Have a full set of level 60 PVP armor and tamed a T-Rex type pet. I named him Patches as a "Family Guy" reference. ![]()

-Random Thoughts-
Happy Thanksgiving weekend to all my fellow Canadians! I've always wondered why we celebrate it in October and people in the United States celebrate it in November, so I asked Google. Turns out our Thanksgivings are both for different reasons. In Canada, we're giving thanks to a bountiful harvest. In the United States, you guys celebrate the Pilgrims settling the new world. Either way, Turkey is involved, we just get ours first.
Watching The Simpsons, Family Guy, and bad horror movies after you've had major abdominal surgery is not a good idea

I found a great job opportunity I want to apply for as soon as I get my diploma. It's a private company that designs weapons for the Canadian Navy. Me being a woman in the Army Reserves just about tripled my chances of being hired! I need that project done now!!
- Summer is over!
The scenery at my parents house is beautiful this time of year though. Well, at least until the leaves fall of the trees, then it gets pretty depressing because winter is coming.

Above is a picture of the field in front of my parents house.

There's a major river that runs in my parents backyard (they have 47 acres of property so it's a pretty huge backyard
).

@anzelm: Thanks! I'm not really a fan of water so joining the Navy is kind of like plan B if I don't get this job
I wish I had a purple dragon
Glad to hear you're OK! I'm assuming it only hurts when you laugh?

@ mention of "the pump". I have (admittedly blurred) memories of that contraption myself.
I suspect that it's hospital policy to serve terrible food - it's probably seen as an incentive for the patients to get well and leave as soon as possible ...
... and
Good luck with that job! Obviously your gaming experience will aid you in weapon design ... personally, I'm rather partial to the Gravity Gun from HL2. *hint, hint*
Aww, so cute ... *pets Patches ...*
*... reattaches arm*
Happy Canadian Thanksgiving and good luck for that job!
Those pictures fantastic! You are so lucky to be living a place so beautiful.

Glad everythings kewl and going well!
And obviously, good luck with the job hunt.
