It finally happened, around last week a release date for the highly anticipated Detox album was set. From what I've heard Dr. Dre is scheduling the DEtox album for a september 2007 release. I'm just as happy as anyone about this album, but Do you think that Dre can live up to his own hype again? I think that waiting for this album to be released will be a very interesting time period.
On Friday October 27th I was told that a friend of mine was shot, and killed on July 12th he was 18. This murder marked the 66th murder this year for boston, and it just keeps getting worse. I feel like crap because I was the last to know. People get killed here for absolutley nothing. I remember when I met him during a summer school session during my sophmore year of high school. What I was gettin at is Do you think that people are becoming more and more influenced by by gangsta rap because it seems that people in boston are only killing because they have nothing to do.

(despite what it seemed You will always be my best friend)
So today I decide to log on to one of my favorite websites (which is this one) and as I'm checking my mail i get a really offensive post from this jerk. Which states "you are a rap noob and you know nutin about hip hop so stfu wit your dumb posts on the forums!" What the Hell is that about I haven't offended anybody... yet and this shows how stupid some people can be. if anyone needs to stfu It's you son. You don't know squat about me. I would really appreciate feedback on this Thanks.
The Roots long awaited forthcoming album entitled Game theory finally drops next tuesday, August 29. With this album dropping next week is there anyone that's as hyped as I am for this major release.
Does anyone have a song that helps ease the pain of whatever they're problems
Recent Reviews
I can't believe i'm reviewing this album. Usually I don't go for this kind of R&B. But I was wrong this album is pretty decent. The one thing I do not like about this album is the fact that it's so short. There are only 13 tracks on the album, plus a bonus track that is a remix with Ghostface Killah. All the tracks are nice and Ne-Yo does a good job writing his lyrics. I reccomend this album to anyone who likes R&B and wants to hear the capabilities of the man who wrote Mario's Let Me Love You.

Before I begin this review I just want to say rest in peace to Proof of D12. My only regret is that I didnt review this album sooner. This album is incredible. I loved every track, and the intro and all the skits were funny and very entertaining. When you're listening to D12 it sounds like you're listening to five black eminems. In their own ways every member of D12 has a style that says that they dont care what people think of them. This makes them great rappers. D12 has a song called American Psycho that gives a very dark perspective to what so many kids (including myself) go through. I love this album because even though it has its dark moments it still cheers me up when im down.

The thing that I feared most when Mobb Deep signed to G-Unit was that their style would change completley. It turns out I was right on some level. To be honest this album is terrible. I have a personal Issue With the track Pearly Gates. Prodigy says a line in the song that sounds like he took a shot at Nas. If he did then why did he edit out Nas' name. If you ask me that sounds like Prodigy should listen to his own tracks since it seems like he's the coward. Anyway this album has a few good songs. One of the main problems is that their master or should i say executive producer 50 cent will only let them rap with G-Unit camp members. 50 cent is on about 1bout 5 out 16 tracks. Does 50 feel that he has to help them out that much? My opinion is that if you had any respect for this once legendary rap duo then do yourself a favor. Dont buy this album it will only disapoint you.

As i put this cd into my cd player i started to think that maybe I should not have bought this album because I was never a fan of Lil' Kim because of what she rapped about. I was wrong though because thisalbum is nothing short of incredible. Lil' Kim really tried with this album and it shows on every track. My favorite track on the album is Slippin, which is produced by Mr. Porter (Kon Artis) of D12. The song has a dark but clear message in it and it shows that Lil' Kim can rap about other things besides what she's been known for. I reccomend this album to anyone who likes rap because every track is great and its worth the time and money.

This album is ok, once again even though I do not like the whole Southern Rap explosion its nice to hear some decent rappers from the South. Ludacris' rap style is exactly what his name is... Ludacris. Ludacris raps with such energy and humor that it makes you smile while you rap along with him. Ludacris has a very unique delivery that seems to vary at times. In laymens terms, you never know what he's going to say next and thats what makes him a decent rapper. My favorite tracks on this album are Growing Pains, Get the F*!# Back, and Cry Babies. I reccomend this album to anyone who enjoys witty punchlines and humorous content
