I hate seeing emo bands that think they're dressing differently then eveyone else. When really, they don't know the first thing about glam rock. David Bowie is one of the great kings of rock and alternative music. But unfortunately, he's not recognized for it. The only credit he recieves is from the Labrynth, which doesnt even scratch the surface of all his amazing music. It's a little known fact that great bands such as The Smashing Pumpkins, Depeche Mode, The Cure, and many other synth, punk, rock, pop, and techno musicians. It's a shame we don't have many musicians as talented as David Bowie, who can play a vast variety of instruments and has an astounding voice with a superb range. Underappreciated and a tremendous rocker who is still making music to this day.

I can't say i do not enjoy listening to the killers...occasionally. theyre pretty good. I'm glad they've helped bring back styles of classic alternative bands. However, they've become a bit to cocky all of a sudden. Maybe i'm not being as hard as i should on them because they came from a town about a half-hour drive away from me. But for them to say that the Bravery formed just because of them is ridiculous. I saw the bravery open for depeche mode last month and they rocked. I hate to break it to you Flowers, but all you mainly do is pull from bands like The Cure, and the smiths, and even a bit of depeche mode, and so on. So, really, the only reason you formed is cause of the true greats like them. I enjoy the music, but you're not as great as you think you are.

I\'ve always enjoyed Depeche Mode\'s ability to shift styles with each of their albums. I was a tad worriesome that this album would be the outcome of a style that \"Exciter\" paved the way for. And although I did enjoy some of Exciter, I was hoping they would not pick the same sort of qualities in this album. And sure enough, they did almost the opposite. Yes, the lyrics may be a bit depressing, but the overrall effect is mindblowing when you get used to it. I\'ve also started to notice the tremendous bass line produced by the sometimes overlooked Andy Fletcher. Especially in the song \"Precious.\" Other songs on the album possess some of the same traits as songs past. When i hear \"A pain that I\'m used to,\" the song \"Waiting for the night\" comes to mind. The same effect is produced between \"John the Revelator\" and \"Personal Jesus.\" I\'m especially glad that they have tapped into thier past sounds but also pressed forward with bold new melodies. However, i believe some songs like \"Lilian\" had the potential to be much greater but I am still satisfied with the album as it is. I\'ve also become a fan of Dave\'s songs, Especailly \"I want it all.\" Overall a terrific album that seems as though it has combined all of their slbums together into a sound that is eerie at times but keeps you on your feet. I hope they continue in their path of making innovating music.
