Punk-Rock Theme Songs
From my experience, I have come to the conclusion that Tv shows with a punk-rock theme song as the introduction are 99% of the time bad. I currently do not know of any TV show with a punk-rock intro that is a good show, but I just left the 1% difference for the possibility that, someday, there may be a decent show with a punk theme song. A punk intro, to me, is also a sign of trying to appeal as a "cool" show for teens and white kids. Therefore presenting themselves as trying too hard. I mean, sure, it may be that they just want to keep up with the current times-but seriously, if they wanted to do that, they would choose a song that would remain timeless as to look back at the show as a classic. A TV show's theme song does present the time period of the show, but they fail to realize that punk-rock has been around for over a decade and does not present a specific time period and will not present a specific time period apart from the Ramones in the 80's. People are going to look back at these shows years from now and say, "Oh man, I remember Phil of the Future from back in the 80's-or was it the 90's?" If someone ever does come across a TV show with a punk-rock theme song that they think is a classic, then please tell me. Or how about this....
I AM GONNA START A SEGMENT ON MY PROFILE CALLED "PUNK-ROCK OR BUST"....I ENCOURAGE THOSE OF YOU TO SEND ME NAMES OF SHOWS THAT HAVE PUNK-ROCK THEME SONGS AND TELL ME IF THEY ARE CLASSICS OR NOT. THE SHOWS YOU SEND ME I WILL POST ON MY PROFILE.

Possibly the greatest album of all time, "Hard Candy" showcases a story-like tone and is full of adventures. Each song has its own personal characteristics that make them unique to all the rest. Frontman, Adam Duritz, really helps the listener to visualize each song as it is playing through your speakers. "Butterfly in Reverse," is a song that is full of color and one can actually picture a butterfly gracefully fluttering through the sky. The tingling of the opening riff on the title track really sets the mood for this album and Duritz' storytelling paints a picture well for all. And then, of course, "American Girls," which is the hit single off of this album, is a good complimentary song to the rest. I suggest just putting on a pair of headphones, sitting back, closing your eyes, and enjoying this album all the way through. All together, this album is honest and true, and it portrays life from the very point of view that life is like a box of chocolates-or candies for this matter-and you never do know what you're gonna get. So open up this box of candies and be ready for a big treat.

Hey, I am in love with music. My favorite artists are Stevie Wonder, Counting Crows, Barenaked Ladies, Led Zeppelin, Will Smith, and the Beach Boys. Personally, I sing and play the sax and trombone.
