Has it Been That Long??
Wow, it's been a while since I've written in this blog. Get caught up in one election, and the world just passes you by. Well I'm back now and ready to resume the mantle of editor and TV watcher. I like the new face of TV.Com, but find myself missing the second generation with the blue background. This new one is a lot crisper and cleaner, but it lacks the mature feel of the old site. I can live with this.
I also want to wish everyone on TV.Com and Happy and Safe Holiday season. I just hope they show a few good marathons during the holidays.
Welcome Summer Shows
Tis The Season
Ah, the sweet season has started again. Baseball is back in full swing and My Washington Nationals have a lot of new faces on the bench and a great new ballpark. This will be the year. I may have said that last year, but this time it could be right. This is going to cut some serious time into my regular shows, but that's why they made repeats.
See you around the diamond.
Hello to All
It's great to be back in the saddle again. I'm catching up on a lot of my shows, and writing some new reviews.
I've been busy with the new political season in full swing, but I find myself trying to watch as mush NCIS as I can. This a great show. It combines elements of action, drama, and comedy all in one fantastic show. I never thought I would like Mark Harman since his movie "Summer School", but I do. There was a marathon on last Saturday on The USA network, and I watch the entire thing. I'm ordering the DVD sets next week.
Christmas Vacation
I will be out of town for a few days during the Christmas Holiday season. I will return by the 27th of December and check my Queues. Things have been a bit quiet, but just in case.
I hope all of you have a Happy and Safe Holiday. I wish you marathons of your favorite shows and little or no commericials.
I Almost Forgot
I almost forgot all about TV.com. It's been so long since I last posted anything. It's a good thing my Queue was empty. Could have been real messy. I have a lot of work on my plate and find little time for me, when I'm not asleep. I have been checkingout a few new shows and find Burn Notice quite a sleeper. I like this show and its great cast. I'm going to make sure I see all of this show.
I hope everyone is doing great and I'll be back next week for good.
Slowed down a little
Happy Thanksgiving
Election Coverage
Now that the elections are finished and the endless barage of political ads is over. How did everyone do? Did it become too much coverage and speculation or not enough?
I stayed on Fox News for most of the time, but couldn't keep off Comedy Central towards the end.
A couple of things
A Couple of things:
The new tv season has been very good. I'm watching the new episodes of Bones, CSI Miami, and New York. All have been great. Good action and great storylines.
I've seen a couple new sit-coms that I've enjoyed. Till Death and The Class have been pretty funny, but I don't think they will go the distance. Both will be axed before the the mid season. Too Bad.
Now that my Washington Nationals ended up in the basement again this season, it's time for the post season, or should I say "it's time to cheer for anybody but the Yankees".
Come on Tigers.
It's been a while but, here are a couple of things:
I hear Seth MacFarlane of Family Guy is producing a new live-action show next year. The show is called Winner, and stars Rob Corddry from The Daily Show.
It's getting harder and harder to watch the Washington Nationals on TV. I love to watch them play, but I would also like to see a WIN every once in a while. We're playing Atlanta again tonight, and I'm thinking of watching House.
Home Improvement Shows
I must ask where are all the Home Improvement shows like Hometime, vintage This Old House, and many other D.I.Y shows? I've sent three requests to add new shows, but all have been lost in the cosmos. Looking for the next step.
The All Star Game
Once again it's the half way point of the baseball season, and time for the All Star Game. This year should be a good one for the AL. The American League has been beating the stuffings out of the National league teams. I'll be watching it tonight, except when Dirty Jobs comes on the Discovery Channel. Since my local team is National league, I want them to win tonight. We will see.
Independence Day
Long Time, No Approve
They seem to take a long time to approve cast and crew submissions. Is there a new rule I don't know about, or are the staff just swamped with submissions right now?
It's Friday
It's Friday, and I'm glad another week is over. It's beena rough week with my boss out of the office. It puts a lot on me, but I enjoy the responsiblity. Thank God it goes back to normal on Monday. Even the National's had a bad week. Let's hope we both have better times next week.
Happy Father's Day
Happy Anniversary
Happy Anniversary. One year down, and the future looks bright. I've come a long way in a year, and it's been fun.
It's a very nice Emblem too.
Memorial Day
I had to choose
I had to pick between watching the season ending of 24 or watching the Washington Nationals play the Houston Astros. 24 had more action packed into 20 minutes then 10 ball games.
I wonder who won the game?
