I normally refrain from talking about PC titles because quite frankly I have a serious lack of PC gamers on my friends list (shame on all of you!) so it'll likely be received with little interest but recently I've had a crazy desire to play some classics. I normally go through this phase sometime during the year. It's one of the reasons why I enjoyed Retro Revival Week from back in the day on Gamespot. As it turns out, I found out that my Acer Netbook works as a great retro machine due to the 1024x600 resolution and the portability (thank you China for my 9 cell battery *_* ).

Right now I'm getting into Baldur's Gate II, everyone keeps mentioning how Dragon Age Origin's is its spiritual successor and one of my all time guilty sins (aside from never finishing a single Mario game) is never having played Baldur's Gate II which is unacceptable being the huge RPG aficionado that I like to claim to be.

is it me or does this portrait look surprisingly like Vin Deasel?
On the TV side if things, I just finished watching the latest episode of Dexter. I can only sum it up with a HOLY SH#$%T! I didn't see that one coming , probably the best television episode I've seen this year (or should I say online) Any Dexter fans out there?

The Genius of Harmonix' Plan:
much less of a deal for each pack and no deal on the singles inevitably released = more money for hmx. this is because hmx is greedy and found the best way to get the most possible money (which they did, outstandingly so) off this album and their evil plan has worked perfectly. they sold us on rock band with the amazingly well performed "non-promise" that they strung along for well over a year and essentially sold us rock band 2 again with this same "non-promise" before dismantling it by pulling out the get-out-of-jail-free card by saying "well, we never technically announced the nevermind album." after letting everybody's hopes fall to the way side, then they yank us back up with the inclusion of drain you in rock band 2. This got ppl saying "Hey, we might never get the full album, but we'll keep getting the hits eventually with every rock band title release, so all is not lost." This is the point we were at earlier today. now is the time they sucker punch us with the "nevermind rest of album" (breed aside being the biggest song here). Undoubtedly most fans will buy this in its entirety even though the discount is not that high at all, but being "justifiable" in fans' eyes. This leads to ppl buying the entire rest of album. If the actual album was released there would be far more cherry picking off the album, only grabbing singles. Now, hmx can string these singles at full price, holding more than likely at least one song back as a disc song for the inevitable Rock Band 3, 4, and possibly even Rock Band 5, forgoing dlc all together. This way, if you indeed want the full album as they non-promised have been here since day one, buying rock band 1, you will have potentially (under the circumstances described above) spent at least $331 (5 rb games at $60, $11 on this pack, and also assuming u pay $5 for each transfer so u can have all songs on one game) on hmx software in order to get the full nevermind album. And most likely everyone will pay it, not even realizing the amount of money spent. Hmx is successfully toying with fans emotions treating our hopes and dreams like a yo-yo to squeeze out every single possible dollar from us over this album, and doing it with surgeon-like accuracy and precision, surgically removing us from our money. They are truly the drug-peddling Mafiosos and we as fans are their simple drug addicts going homeless. Harmonix isDarth Sidious/Emporer Palpatine.
Today I reached Level 39 here on GameSpot. I'll take this opportunity to talk a little bit about what I've been up to lately.
Spring break is next week, and I am really looking forward to it (as any other sophomore in college would). I have a computer science midterm on Friday, but I've had relatively little work to do lately and have been playing a lot of games. I finally won my 500th ranked online win in GH3, and now the only achievement I don't have in that game is the achievement for getting 750,000 on a single song. Sure, I could dedicate a few weeks of my life to mastering TTFATF or cheating to get the achievement, but screw both of those options. For now I will patiently wait for new songs to be released where it is reasonable to get the 750,000.
Anyways, Spring break is going to be awesome. I'm going to be staying at school and going a few concerts, doing plenty of snowboarding, and of course, playing a game or two. My friend and I are planning on renting Army of Two and going through to co-op, and I also have Condemned 2, SSBB, Burnout Paradise, and a list of other games to play that I haven't finished yet.
To everyone who is either on Spring break or will be going on Spring break, have a fun week!
im so excited getting a 360 with saints row oblivion and halo 2 exciting stuff
Oh, and i also started using the Ice Light Theme, which is pretty cool.
☻I also leveled up a couple of days ago. Going slow but always moving forward
☻The release date of Ultimate Ghosts `n Goblins has been moved up a week to next tuesday. I`m looking forward to getting the game. I mean, it`s an old school side-scroller, what could go wrong? *crosses fingers*
☻Downloaded Texas Hold `Em Poker last night. The game is pretty simple, but hey, what can we expect from a poker game? It has the basic stuff there. Multiplayer with tournaments and stuff should last a long time. Overall i think it`s a good game. It was about time a poker game was released.
☻What does this holiday season spell for us gamers? DISASTER. The huge amount of games and the coming of the PS3 and the Wii are sure to blow a big deep hole in everyone`s wallet. Since i don`t grow money on my backyard, i`ll have a tough time trying to decide what to get. The one thing for sure i know i`m getting is Twilight Princess, either on Wii or GC. But besides Zelda, so many huge titles are also coming to all platforms(no, not you Xbox, you`re dead). That`s the problem of owning multiple consoles *shakes head*. But i`m sure in the end everyone`s gonna have a blast playing whatever it is they have bought
I think that`s it. Take care now, bye-bye then.
The website has a dirty name here. I don't care. This place has become deserted, stale and boring. The smileys are god awful, the forum is slow and the humor is so bad and corny here it makes me want to puke sometimes.
After the Forum change, this place hasn't been the same. The site is ugly. People hate it. And yet Gamespot has decided what is best for us, it's FANS. They don't listen to us, they give us a condescending pat on the head and say "It'll all be okay, we know what's good for you."
This website has enormous potential and the forums have just as much. Clean up the ugly look, keep up the emblems, add more customization and ENLARGE THE AVATARS AND LOSE THE STUPID SHADOW BEHIND THEM.
Seriously, people have been asking for this stuff for how long? No more excuses Gamespot, people are leaving and your turning your shoulder.
Oh well, back to System Wars. And before you call the place a cesspool of retards, go to the main forums here. Not everyone is a stuck up poster of the Virtual Underground here. Most Gamespot forumites can't spell Gamecube.
Not to mention I would rather be surrounded by retards then deal with unnescassarily long posts with dozens of the most annoying smiley ever created "
