The Stone Church
Hello, Everyone! Today was such an amazingly fun day!
I decided that I would take my brother and sister along on a hike to my town's most famous attraction, The Stone Church. Now, if you want detailed information about what the stone Church is, you'll find it here, but basically, it's a huge rock formation with a waterfall that looks like the stained glass window of a church. Back in the 1600's, it was used as a place of refuge for a group of Native Americans hiding from the English army.
Anyway, the hike itself is a beautiful walk through huge meadows, up rocky paths, and even over a little bridge. I had been to the Stone Church before, as well as my brother, but it was my sister's first trip there. It was cool showing her all the different sights!
They both really enjoyed the hike, as did I!
Here are some pictures I took from the trip. Hope you like them.![]()
The field you have to cross to actually get to the Stone Church path.
A small bridge that I crossed.
This is a small pond that was reflecting a tree. Yet another fun sight to see on the way to the Stone Church!![]()
A small waterfall next to the stone Church.
And this... is the Stone Church itself! If you venture inside, you can see a huge waterfall, as well as people's names engraved into the rocks that are dated from the 1800's.
Finally, here is a picture I took walking back through the meadow. Hope you enjoyed seeing some of the sights!![]()
My Week So Far.
Greeting's everyone! I'm currently devoid of any interesting blog topics, so I thought I'd give a quick rundown on how my week has been going so far.
~Sunday: I was able to watch a few episodes of I Love Lucy before I headed off to church (where I had a lovely time, by the way), and I was fortuanate enough to see one of my all time favorite episodes, specifically "The Indian Show", which is from season 2. This episode has to be one of the best of the whole series, because it's so hilarious!![]()
~Monday: Besides going on a submitting spree on TV.com, I got halfway through the new book I've been reading, which is "Three Cups Of Tea", by Greg Mortenson. This book is so touching and inspiring. It tells the true story of one man's mission to help build schools for the children of Pakistan. If you ever get the chance, you should really check this book out.![]()

~Tuesday: Got myself two new editorships! The Rick Steve's Europe guide, and the Sarah Palin guide!![]()
![]()
Also on Tuesday, when I went to RCIA, I recieved a catechism book. It was funny though, because it's the same exact copy as the catechism book my grandmother let me borrow from her!
The only difference is the cover color.![]()

~Wednesday: This wasn't such a great day, as I got a bad earache.
However, the silver lining to this day
would probably have to be the fact that I opened a photobucket account, and learned how to edit my pictures that I take with my camera!
~Thursday: Today was good, even though my earache persists.
I've been corresponding with a few old friends, which is always nice.
I'm sure tomorrow will be a great day as well.![]()
To end this blog, here is a picture of a tree in my backyard. The leaves are sort of changed into their Autunm colors, which I think looks pretty.
Enjoy!

Top 5 Changes
Here's a list of my top 5 things I'd like to see changed on TV.com.
1: Tone down the extremely blinding white and electric blue color scheme. Countless people, myself included, are getting headaches from it!
2: Make the text darker and bigger. Nobody wants to visit a site that requires extreme magnification to read anything.
3: Let us use any type of color, font, or size of text we want when writing blogs, PMs, comments, ect...
4: Go back to the old amount of how many blogs were listed on our profiles.
5: Bring back the missing emblems!!! A lot of those were achieved through hard work, and to take then away suddenly makes absolutely no sense.
A Fun Experience + A Book Review.
Hello, Eveyone!
Well, last night was my first ever RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) C.l.a.s.s and I thought it was amazing!
There's only five people that signed up for the C.l.a.s.smyself included, and I found it to be a very nice group. Last night we mostly just introduced ourselves, and talked about our backgroung, and why we want to take RCIA. For me, I'm taking RCIA because it's a chance to learn more about Catholicsm and to be able to recieve Communion and be Confirmed.
I think I'm really going to enjoy all that RCIA has to offer.![]()
In other news, I recently bought a few books to read from Amazon.com, and I have already finished one of the books that I purchased. I thought I'd share my thoughts on the book I finished reading, which is called "A Walk In The Woods" by Bill Bryson. I actually bought this book because I read about it on different people's blogs on TV.com, and everyone said it was extremely funny. Basically, "A Walk In The Woods" is the true story of the author's attempt to hike the entire Appalachian Trail, which spans from Georgia to Maine. I found the book to be quite funny, but also educational. You learn a lot of things about the Appalachian Trail, including its history, its wildlife, and its famous hikers, that you never knew before. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants an inspirational, hilarious story to read.![]()
At the moment, I'm reading a truly terrifying story called "The Demon In The Freezer" by Richard Preston. Now, I had read one of Richard Preston's other books before, specifically, "The Hot Zone" which is all about the Ebola virus. I found "The Hot Zone" to be a facsinating book, and the same goes for "The Demon In The Freezer", which is all about Smallpox. I should mention that BOTH books are true stories, and they CAN be frightening at times. Nevertheless, I'd recommend them to people who enjoy reading about science or medicine.
Well, I think that's enough blogging for now. Feel free to click on the links if you want to learn more about the two books.
In the meantime, enjoy this picture I found of what has be THE coolest cake EVER!!!!!![]()

A Complaint And Some Advice
Salutations, Everyone. Well, I WAS planning on blogging about some books I read/am currently reading, but I think I'll put that topic on hold for a bit. I think that EVERYONE can deduct what this blog's going to be about, given the title!
I cannot believe the craziness of the new TV.com layout. I really can't!!!! Who on earth thaought that it would be a great idea to have colorless, tiny text with a electrical blue background?!?!! My eyes aren't that great to begin with, which is why I wear glasses, and they usually help me read just about anything, but honestly I find myself struggling to read everyone's blogs with the new design. I guess I'm going to end up going blind now, either by straining to read the new light text, or by having my corneas burned out from the neon blue background.![]()
I've also noticed that a few of my hard earned emblems are missing, which I honestly don't appreciate at all. Hopefully they'll be returned, unscathed, as soon as possible. Also, Inoticed that some of my contacts have vanished from my contacts page.
Some friend's profiles are also unviewable, because they have their profile's set to private. It's so weird, because they show up in my friends list, but I can't view their profile. GRRRR.... Crazy TV.com bugs!![]()
I think I'm going to be hanging out at the MovieTome site for the next few days. Their PM system works, I'm able to comment on everyone's blogs, and it's just plain easier to navigate, at least until TV.com gets its act together. I highly recommend MovieTome if you want to blog or PM somebody. Hopefully I won't have to wait too long to get back to submitting at TV.com.![]()
