Her service will be held there on Thursday morning, but they will forward everything that arrives later on to the family.  Her husband has decided to take the kids back to California with his family on Friday.  We've been busy packing and making arrangements.  As much as I'm going to miss them, it will be good for them to all be together. 

We're also extremely grateful for all the support shown here on the site.  This place meant so much to Andrea - all of you did.  Her family and I have been here often reading all the postings and it really helps us feel closer to her. 

I know there are several ideas going around regarding some sort of tv.com memorial to her, and many are asking for my opinion.  I think her family and I both agree that whatever can be done would be an honor and we'll leave it up to the staff to decide what, if anything, is possible and appropriate.

Hi Everyone.  Firstly I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for all the kind comments and PM's.  I've read most of them but am unable to answer them all just yet.

I do have a HUGE favor.  Because of some family drama, I need anyone who has a myspace page and is friends with Drea to please NOT post any comments about her passing.  I know you are all trying to show support but please keep it here on tv.com.

Many of you have asked about sending cards & stuff and I will get back to you shortly on where those can be sent.  Thank you for understanding and respecting the sensitivity of the situation!

Yeah, I'm lurking and blog-stalking a little.  I'm still not sure what to do with myself.  Anyway, I thought I'd repost my blog here since, again, Drea has a TON of friends here that might not see my page...

Drea passed away a few hours ago.  Apparently there was a large blood clot in her leg that they didn't see on the MRI and as soon as they started her on blood thinners the clot broke free and lodged in her heart.  I'm too numb to type any more about it now, but I wanted you all to know.  Your prayers and this site and all of you meant so much to her.  Thank you Stu and Mary and Newbie & Sassy & Tee for your help and pm's today. 

I know Drea has a TON of friends here that probably wouldn't know to read my blog so I've copied & pasted it here...

Drea goes in & out of the hosipital a lot.  After a while you get used to it.  With her illness, it's almost a preventative maintenance type thing.  The Dr's gotta fix this before that happens, and fight this infection before that gets infected.  All the while knowing the infections will return, but they can be treated.

But when she was rushed to the hospital last night, it was different.  Her kids thought it was a heart attack, but the sharp pains in her chest and shallow breathing were instead, the result of pulmonary emboli - several blood clots in her lungs.  They did an MRI that showed many more blood clots in her legs and throughout her body.

As of right now, that's all I know.  I don't know what the prognosis is or how they're going to treat it or how she's feeling or if she's scared.  I don't know how her kids or her husband are doing.  I don't know how long she'll be in the hospital.  I don't even know if she wants visitors.  But I DO know she's gonna get one.  I'll be heading out this afternoon as soon as my oldest is back from school so I won't be around the site much either.  When I do hear more, I'll find a way to spread the word, but until then... Prayers, White Light, Hugs, Happy Thoughts, Eye of Newt... anything is welcome.
