Just some random thoughts in this generation rpgs

This generation of consoles the good rpgs are spread all over the three platforms. This is not the best time to be an rpg gamer, in the last generation, all you will ever need to play great rpgs was an ps2 and, if you really wanted to, a game cube. But this time around the rpgs are well spread and it is more difficult to chose a single plataform to own.

I started this generation owning only a ps3, and for the first the first year that I had it, It had just 3 rpgs for me to play on, Folklore(if you call this an RPG in some boards you will get flamed, but for me its game-play is more like and rpg than an action adventure), Enchanted Arms and Oblivion. Then i decided to get a wii only to play Symphonia 2 (since I was a fan of the first one), but the library of rpgs in the wii is not that bright either... and after I heard of Vesperia and Star Ocean VI couldn't hold anymore and bought an 360.

Now that I have all the consoles and a psp, I found that all the three of them have great rpgs, and being able to play all of them is great. But this made me think that its very difficult for a person that likes rpgs and only have money for one console. I still think that if could only afford one console, the best right now would be a 360 because it has the biggest library of rpgs and some great ones, like vesperia and Lost Odissey, but you would also be missing Valkyria Chronicles, Disgaea 3 and some others.

but for the people that says that this generation is lacking of good rpgs I have to disagree, I just finished Tales of Vesperia and I have to say that it is one of the greatest in the series, and Valkyria Chronicles is my second favorite rpg of all time, just losing to Dragon Force. The problem is that both of them sold poorly in comparison to other rpgs that weren't that good (but weren't bad either) like Infinite Undiscovery and Last Remnant.
