Favorite Shows on Tv

Hello, tv.com.

It has been too long, hasn't it?

What is everyone up to? I have been sick for a week, but slowly getting better.

Anyway, I wanted to do another blog, it has been forever.

I'll do another list, which is what I love doing most.

My 35 favorite shows on tv.(as in, shows that haven't ended yet)

How many of these are you watching?

35. Damages

I have never liked this show as much as the average critic.
But it is a great show that I still need to catch up on. Eventually, but it isn't a show that I NEED to see.

34. Being Human

One of the few British shows that I have ever truly liked.
What is taking Season 2 so long?

33. Hung

Still need to catch up on this show, but is it good? Absolutely.
Humor is very awkward, which doesn't appeal to everyone, but it does to me.

32. Family Guy

Haven't watched this one in a while, but it is a great show for when you are bored.

31. Medium

Haven't bothered watching the new Season yet.
Quite frankly, it is a great show but it is time to end it already.

30. The Tudors

Pretty much the guilty-pleasure version of 'Rome'.
Is it worth watching? For sure, if not just for it's sexiness and great outfits.

29. Man Vs. Wild

Gotten a little tired of this one, but Bear Grylls never gets boring.

28. 30 Rock

A little too American, but I certainly understand the hype.
Best comedic cast on tv, for sure.

27. The Simpsons

This show never gets old. 21 Seasons old? Damn.

26. Nurse Jackie

One of the best new shows of the year, Edie Falco blows me away with her great performance.

25. Weeds

The humor on this show is getting worse, whilst the drama is only getting better.
It is being dragged on longer than it should have, but it is still worth watching.

24. Rescue Me

This show is like a roller coaster ride, it has big highs and big lows and little in-betweens.
But the occasional great performances and unique story makes it unforgettable.

23. Nip/Tuck

Pretty much the exact same thing as Rescue Me.
But season six, which will be the series' last, is proving to be as dark and as memorable as the first three seasons so far.

22. South Park

A show that has gotten a bit too old, but is it still entertaining? You betcha.

21. Skins

Too high on the list? Pretty much.
But when the show is good, it is pretty heartbreaking.

20. Survivor

In it's 19th Season, and still going on strong.
The only reality show that I would recommend to anyone.

19. Epitafios

I am probably the only person here that will ever watch this show.
It airs on Latin HBO, which means that it is all in Spanish. Pretty awesome.

18. The Office

Behind on this one, mainly because I do not like it as much as during it's first three seasons.
But it is still one of the best comedies on tv.

17. Entourage

I am not yet caught up with this one, but I have been watching episodes here and there and loving it more the more I watch it.

16. In Treatment

I am still not finished with it's first Season.
Why? I do not know. Honestly, I loved what I saw of it. Excellent show.

15. Lost

The show has changed so much, and I don't think that it's as smart or nearly as touching as it used to be.
It actually feels like just another action-y show instead of a powerful, supernatural drama.
Hopefully Season 6 gives it the right send off.

14. Robot Chicken

One of the best ways to kill time.
It can be hit-or-miss-y, but for the most part, it is pure unconditional entertainment.

13. True Blood

What is not fun about this show? It has sex, gore, supernatural people, and decent writing and performances.
The best guilty pleasure on tv. period.

12. Party Down

Probably overrating this show that almost nobody has ever even heard of.
But I love it. I love the characters, the cast, the GUEST STARS(!!!), the humor. It is one of those shows you just simply love.

11. Bored To Death

If I would ever write a comedy, it would be something like this.
Just extremely dry, and probably lame. It's hilarious and akward, I love it.

10. Friday Night Lights

Season 4 is starting all over again, half the cast is gone and the show is just better than ever.

09. It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia

Currently going through it's worst Season yet, but it could still recover.
The people on this show are horrible low-lives, what's not to love?

08. Modern Family

Still very fresh and new, but already loving this one.
The cast is superb, with the likes of Ed O'Neill and Ty Burrell.
It has two Colombian characters and the dialog is sharp and histerical. One of the best comedies in a long time.

07. The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency

My favorite new show that aired this year.
So far, still has not been renewed or cancelled. Hopefully it does get a second season, because it was a true African gem.

06. Big Love

This show has only been getting better and better.
It has gotten better than I ever though it could get. Gut-wrecking and occasionally hilarious.

05. Flight Of The Choncords

The world needs more Folk, I demand it!
As of now, whether Season 3 will happen is still unsure. HBO wants them back, but the Conchords are not convinced yet.
Here's hoping they do at least one more season.

04. The Venture Bros.

Best. Animated show. Ever. Period.
I love everything about this show. It is epic, freaking histerical, has one of the best voice-acting, excellent set of characters, and a better written and less confusing mythology than Lost.

03. Breaking Bad

Bryan Cranston really carries this show, his performance reminds me of the Deadwood cast, it is that good.
The show is very thrilling without being cheap, you never know what will happen next.

02. Dexter

Season 4 is doing what I didn't think was going to be possible.
It is making me love and fear this show even more. This Season's villain, The Trinity Killer, is almost as freaky as Twin Peak's Bob.
What a great ride this show has been.

01. Mad Men

What can I say about the show that hasn't been said already?
It is a work of art, every single frame is. I can just pause any episode and still be amazed by what I see.
I love that about this show. There is a group of people that will never get what I mean, but if you are into art, you should be able to understand.

Governor vs. Governator

Hi blog! I've missed you.

So in about a month or so I will be moving from New Jersey to Southern California, for a job I just got that may or may not involve being a graphics programmer for a video game developer. This will probably be a big change for me, as I will no longer have the comforts of gross snowy winters and Wall Street douchebags on their Blackberry's. So I've started to make some comparisons, and the first I've done is governors. As you surely know the great state of California is ruled with an iron fist by the governator himself, Arnold Schwarzenegger. In the New Jersey corner we have Governor Jon Corzine. Let's see how they stack up!

Ah-nold

  • Fiscally conservative
  • Socially liberal
  • Has travelled back in time (3 times!)
  • Kicked a predatory alien's ass in the middle of the jungle, with nothing but his wits and a knife
  • Was the first male to be pregnant and give birth
  • He did not in fact have a tumor, contrary to certain allegations
  • Once shot his wife and said "consider this a divorce!"
  • Saved the US from a nuclear attack by terrorist group "The Crimson Jihad"
  • Once fell out off a plane, landed in a swamp, and got right back up
  • Versatile enough to star in a smash holiday comedy, despite being such a badass

Corzine

  • Once almost killed himself in a car accident

So there you have it! Ah-nold wins by a landslide!

"A Plague on Humanity"
I haven't blogged since the big blog problem we had a while back. it seems that everything is all sorted out now, so I thought I'd just pop in with a quick quote from a book that I'm currently reading and enjoying-- Cat in a Topaz Tango: A Midnight Louie Mystery, by Carole Nelson Douglas and Midnight Louie. The quote is from Midnight Louie, who is a feline P.I. who "writes" part of the story--

"I cannot tell you how sick, ticked, and piqued I am about cell phones. These miserable little devices are like a medieval infestation of rats. They breed everywhere. People are entirely at their beck and call, and run shrieking to cuddle them every time they squeal. And they have a thousand annoying voices, some famous. This fad to have unique 'ring tones' is a plague on humanity. Anyone with sensitive hearing is assaulted daily, and also left out of the loop watching folks speak loudly as they wander down the street. Time was, people behaved that way, they were put in custody 'for observation.'"

That is all for now. More detailed blog entry coming soon.

World of Warcraft!
Its been a VERY long time since I have blogged! School was very stressfull...I can't imagine how it'll be in college! OMG! Well for the past month I've been playing World of Warcraft (my best friend Vikki got me hooked on it). Its awesome. Anyone else play? Well I'm only level 35...my brother won't seem to move it butt off of the computer to give me time to level. I can only seem to play in the early hours of the day! If anyone's interested in starting to play, I can send you an invite and we'll be able to level faster if we work together!

My of the Day. Can You Guess Who Does It?

Blades of Glory

I’m a lone wolf in a cage
Lost my partner to a lie
Like a bird with broken wings, yeah
It’s impossible to fly
I tried to live for two
But only trust in one
Is there nothing that we can do?
Are we truly done?
Every day we do or die
As we’re sailin’ across the sky
Now we’re comin’ home
On these blades of glory
Settin’ fire to the ice
Is the dream that keeps us alive
Now we’re comin’ home
On these blades of glory
Could this be the end
of our mythic story?
I don’t know what to say
I don’t know where to turn
All I know is if I stay
Ooh this ice it sure can burn
A man who’s scared of truth
Can only trust in lies
A boy who’s scared to dream
Can never touch the sky, oh yeah
Every day we do or die
As we’re sailin’ across the sky
Now we’re comin’ home
On these blades of glory
Settin’ fire to the ice
Is the dream that keeps us alive
Now we’re comin’ home
On these blades of glory
Today is the first chapter
Of our mythic story
We’ll never part
On these blades of glory
And we’ll cross our hearts
On these blades of glory
What do you say
Tonight we celebrate
By going out our way, yeah
O-oo-oh, let’s go all the way, yeah
It’s our calling
Every day we do or die
As we’re sailin’ across the sky
Now we’re comin’ home
On these blades of glory
Settin’ fire to the ice
Is the dream that keeps us alive
Now we’re comin’ home
On these blades of glory
Blades of glory
We’ll go all night
‘Til we finish the story
Now we’re comin’ home
On these blades of glory
The dream is alive
And we’ll never be sorry
Now we’re comin’ home
On these blades of glory

Or

She was more like a beauty queen from a movie scene
I said don't mind, but what do you mean I am the one
Who will dance on the floor in the round
She said I am the one
Who will dance on the floor in the round

She told me her name was Billie Jean as she caused a scene
Then every head turned with eyes that dreamed of being the one
Who will dance on the floor in the round

People always told me be careful what you do
Don't go around breaking young girls' hearts
My mother always told me be careful who you love
Be careful what you do 'cause the lie becomes the truth, yeah

Billie Jean is not my lover
She is just a girl who claims that I am the one
But the kid is not my son
She says I am the one, but the kid is not my son

For forty days and for forty nights the law was on her side
But who can stand when she's in demand, her schemes and her plans
'cause we danced on the floor in the round
So take my strong advice
Just remember to always think twice
Do think twice

She told my baby we danced 'til three And she looked at me, and showed me a photo
My baby cried, his eyes where like mine
Can we dance on the floor in the round

People always told me be careful what you do
Don’t go around breaking young girls’ hearts
But she came and stood right by me
Just to smell her sweet perfume
This happened much too soon
She called me to her room

Billie Jean is not my lover
She is just a girl who claims that I am the one
But the kid is not my son
She says I am the one, but the kid is not my son
Not my son

Billie Jean is not my lover
She is just a girl who claims that I am the one
But the kid is not my son
She says I am the one, but the kid's not my son
Not my son

This is all kinds of music that I am listening to mostly the 70's. Photobucket

A man walks into a bar and asks the bartender, "If I show you a really good trick, will you give me a free drink?" The bartender considers it, then agrees. The man reaches into his pocket and pulls out a tiny rat. He reaches into his other pocket and pulls out a tiny piano. The rat stretches, cracks his knuckles, and proceeds to play the blues.

After the man finished his drink, he asked the bartender, "If I show you an even better trick, will you give me free drinks for the rest of the evening?" The bartender agrees, thinking that no trick could possibly be better than the first. The man reaches into his pocket and pulls out a tiny rat. He reaches into his other pocket and pulls out a tiny piano. The rat stretches, cracks his knuckles, and proceeds to play the blues. The man reaches into another pocket and pulls out a small bullfrog, who begins to sing along with the rat's music.

While the man is enjoying his beverages, a stranger confronts him and offers him $100,000.00 for the bullfrog. "Sorry," the man replies, "he's not for sale." The stranger increases the offer to $250,000.00 cash up front. "No," he insists, "he's not for sale." The stranger again increases the offer, this time to $500,000.00 cash. The man finally agrees, and turns the frog over to the stranger in exchange for the money.

"Are you insane?" the bartender demanded. "That frog could have been worth millions to you, and you let him go for a mere $500,000!" "Don't worry about it." the man answered. "The frog was really nothing special. You see, the rat's a ventriloquist."

Hi all. Long time no see. No I didn’t fall off the face of the earth or anything. I have been on Pogo. I have had a series of strokes, 5 or 6. I was mad at the world and TV.com. That includes Dave and Ang. I am now confined to the Photobucket. Anyway, this is all gods will. I am lucky to be alive. Everybody is ok. Photobucket, Photobucket is great and the love of my life. Prototype and UFC 2009 Undisputed.

Hello again friends, it has been a while I know but I am finally writing some new stuff for a few games I got, first up is Prototype. I just got this game yesterday and I have already put about 7 hours into it and what a great 7 hours it has been. The game is absolutely amazing with a great story, awesome gameplay and a lot of uses of the F bomb. My biggest complaint is that the camera can be really wonky sometimes and get stuck between buildings but other than that I have not seen a bug so far in my travels. If I was to score the game based on what I have played I would give it and 8/10.

Time for the second game, UFC 2009 Undisputed. Alright, this has to be one of the best fighting games I have ever played, I know it does not have 500 mile and hour fights or crazy ass explosions but I love the realism in it. The roster is exceptionally large with over 80 fighters and thats including every weight class. Some favorites are in the game, Chuck Liddell, Wanderlei Silva and Anderson Silva. The main career mode is somewhat dull with mostly menus for training but you can spare to allocate point to your fighters skill which helps in the long run. overall I really enjoyed the game, expect a full review when I have finished the whole game but if I was to score it now I would give it 9.5/10.

Alright, now from something random, is there anyone else who is really excited for Project Natal?

Brief Encounter, Part 3

Final part of the three-part series, and my final blog for a while (probably). Enjoy!

maxpower03's TV Reviews 2008-2009
Again, each review contains spoilers for the show's whole season, while Pushing Daisies review is of all 13 episodes, not just the ones shown by ABC so far.

Pushing Daisies

Pushing Daisies ABC [Oct-Dec '08]
More of the same from Pushing Daisies, everybody's favorite dead-person-touching show. While I still found Ned and Chuck's banter annoying, I liked the main arcs for all the cast, from Chuck's resurrected father, to Dwight Dixon's romancing of Vivian, and Emerson's search for his long-lost daughter (Lil' Gumshoe, aaahh...) Also loved any time that Olive and Lily were on screen, two characters who got a lot more to do this year. Some of the mysteries were a little hit-and-miss this year, at least compared to the first season. Almost all the murders and the motives of the killers seemed to follow a similar pattern (victim about to get a promotion, or special attention, killer bitter and jealous etc.) As always, the mysteries were stronger when they actually had something to do with the main group of characters, like Ned and Olive's detective-ry at the Cook-Off, or Emerson's on-again, off-again girlfriend Simone being involved in the Chinese restaurant mystery. The show usually became less involving when they mere just hired to investigate something, or when a murder occurred at exactly the same place they happened to show up at ("Jessica Fletcher" syndrome...) While I was (unexpectedly, I may add) not majorly bummed when ABC canceled the show, I was bummed that I had to watch the last three episodes online. I won't spoil it here, but I was happy that the finale brought some (admittedly shoe-horned in) closure to everything. Whatever the strength of the individual episodes, Pushing Daisies was always a charming hour due to the awesome chemistry from the show's ensemble, who you could always tell really loved working together. Rest in peace, show.
Favorite Scene
While so many individual moments were awesome, the scene with Olive breaking into Eternal Flame just had everything that was great about the show: being moving, hilarious and undeniably sweet.

Smallville

Smallville CW [Sep '08-May '09]
When you think about it, it could have been a lot worse. Considering the show lost its two best characters last year, season eight wasn't complete garbage. It was even, at least in the first half, actually pretty good. Tess Mercer was actually an intriguing character, clearly not Lex but still original enough to make her interesting. Davis Bloome was also a great addition to the cast, and played with an actually talented actor. I liked his chemistry with Chloe, and his growing concern that he may be responsible for all those squicky murders across Metropolis. Sure, there were blips along the way (Space Ho! Lie-Detector Dude!), but it was a strong opening to the season. Then, following the explosive Bride episode, things just spiralled out of control. Chloe realized journalism wasn't for her (uh... come again??!!), Lana became a superpowered goddess who was still pined over by Clark, and Jimmy became some lame drug addict. The poop hit the fan, and in a really bad way. Just when Smallville starts to grow, there's a sudden 180 and everything becomes contrived, ridiculous and lazy, filled with annoying Canadian guest stars who can't act and silly storylines involving Tori Spelling and Lois getting shoe-horned into as many dumb plots as possible, since the writers clearly can't think of anything for her to do. And don't even get me started on the hilarious retcon of Jimmy Olsen, his murder and his long-lost, never-before-seen little brother. Heh. Despite such a successful build-up, the season ended with a lame battle between Clark and Doomsday, Davis turning into a cold-blooded killer for no reason, Lois disappearing and Clark once again filled with guilt and gloom, because that's clearly what the audience wants to see. Snore.
Favorite Scene
The Lois/Tess catfight in the finale was pretty trashy, even for this show, but admittedly fun.

Others

Others
It's an unpopular opinion (why?) but I personally hated 24 this season, so much that I tuned out around hour 18. The show has always been ridiculous, but Day 7 was just a mess of epic proportions. Tony's evil-turned-good-turned-evil-again shenanigans were stupid enough, but annoying characters (President Taylor, Chloe, Janis, Larry Moss, Juma, his dumbass second-in-command) and the increasingly nonsensical storylines (hostage crisis in the White House - whah?) just made me want to hurl. Plus, the general formula of the show just isn't surprising anymore. Ooh, there's a mole. Ooh, there's a bad guy, but he's actually working for somebody even more bad and even more adept at scenery-chewing. Ooh, FBI/NSA feds stop Jack from doing what's right. Gah! Call it a day already. F

While it got a little stung by Will & Grace-itis at the start of the season, 30 Rock maintained its natural awesomeness this year. Loved Liz and Jon Hamm's arc (especially the Bubble episode), the phone sex, thought Salma Hayek totally rocked in her arc, loved Tracy in 'space', the entire Oprah episode, and Kidney Now! was hysterical. But, for me, the best arc of the season was Jenna's Janis Joplin biopic, which was completely hilarious in its ridiculousness. Still completely adore this show, especially when it dips out of reality and goes into crazy territory. A

America's Next Top Model continues to be a lot of fun. Even though it's been on for what seems like decades it's still pretty entertaining. On Cycle 11, I loved McKey's win, absolutely hated that gross Marjorie. It's just a personal thing, but one of the qualities I find the most terrible in anybody is an exaggerated lack of confidence, especially when they're being constantly overpraised and complimented anyway. Gah! Onto Cycle 12, Allison had a great look and was completely robbed, but I wasn't completely devastated by Teyona's win, since it was telegraphed for so long that she had it. It's no Project Runway, but ANTM still delivers the fun. C+

My favorite sitcom of the season was, unexpectedly, ABC's midseason offering Better Off Ted, a hilariously original comedy about a bunch of disturbed individuals working in a scientific experimentation company specializing in things like cryogenic freezing or nuclear weapons or non-meat meat. Stealing the show every week was Portia de Rossi as the morally questionable Veronica, the emotionless android (maybe not a metaphor) who runs the place. Great one-liners and some truly insane storylines (the racist lights, Veronica using a child to fire employees, those crazy cat people) made for a show that I urge you to check out. A

CSI didn't survive the exits of three major characters this season, replacing Grissom, Sara and Warrick with uninteresting pains in the ass. I gave Laurence Fishburne a chance, but he just hasn't won me over. Lauren Lee Smith, great on The L Word, fails to breathe life into a pretty uninteresting character. Even the cases this year have rarely been interesting, and the less said about that embarrassingly pretentious 200th episode the better. Only three episodes actually captured my interest, the codas for both Grissom and Sara, and the Taylor Swift one. Ratings are down, the characters are tired, and the cases just aren't working. Time to call it a day? D

Dexter's third year lost some of the threat and tension of its previous seasons, but in general it kept me intrigued. One of the biggest successes (for me) was that I actually grew to like everybody. I used to find Debra insufferable, but she really grew on me this season. Maybe it was the hair. But I liked her. And while I always liked Maria, I loved that she was given some real growth this year, especially through her friendship with Ellen. I never really got into the Jimmy Smits arc, the Skinner mystery lacked the, well, mystery of the Ice Truck Killer, and several storylines went nowhere (like the whole Quinn non-event), but all in all the show continues to be mighty fine. By far the weakest Dexter season, but it was in no way terrible. C+

One of the biggest flops of the season but one with a truly epic feel and some powerhouse acting, NBC's ratings disaster Kings was actually a hotbed of complex characters, ambitious plotting and gorgeous visuals. Set in an alternate New York with its own monarchy and kingdoms, the show featured a host of mysterious subplots (Silas' affair, Michelle's dark secret etc.) and characters easily comparable to the dark protagonists of shows like Damages and Mad Men (most notably in King Silas' manipulating, Machiavellian wife Queen Rose). A crapload of subplots (involving big name guests like Brian Cox, Macauley Culkin and Leslie Bibb) were left dangling when NBC dumped the show to Saturday nights, before postponing the rest of the season till summer. Still, the episodes so far have been great. B+

While a lot of Medium is the same as it always was (imaginative mysteries, a great depiction of an ordinary family), this season sometimes lost me. This is mainly due to lazy writing. In many episodes this season, I worked everything out 20 minutes before any of the main cast did, in particular Allison, who was written as a complete dumbass sometimes. This only used to happen every once and a while, but I feel like I'm two steps ahead of Allison every couple of episodes now. Still, the season itself was pretty great. Loved the two-part The Devil Inside, the Morena Bacarrin plastic surgery episode, the Jeffrey Tambor body-swap episode, and the buzzer device one. To complain a little more, the three-parter (!) at the end of the season blew, Ariel bugged, as did the Scanlon/Lynn pregnancy arc (Tina DiJoseph being the worst actress on television, made even more sickening due to the fact that she is the wife of the showrunner...), and I didn't like how NBC was pretty much burning off the last couple of episodes at the end there. But, as always, the show has some great acting, amazing chemistry between Patricia Arquette and Jake Weber, and is pretty much everything you want in a late-night mystery hour. Hopefully it'll get more network respect from CBS next season. C+

Amy Poehler's attempt at her own sitcom with Parks and Recreation was a little "eh…". Unlike seemingly everybody else, I thought the pilot was really great and the season got progressively worse as it went on. There are flashes of brilliance there, and Amy Poehler is undoubtedly the only truly great thing on the show, but I haven't gained an affinity for any of the supporting characters (well, maybe besides Rashida Jones' crippled boyfriend) and I preferred the stories based around the development of the park than any of the personal crises the characters endured. Still, it can grow. C

I finally discovered Project Runway last year, something I'm kicking myself for missing for so long. Seriously, if you love America's Next Top Model, you'll absolutely adore this show, which has contestants with actual gifts and talent, non-evil, non-peroxide-overdosing judges (Tim Gunn = awesome) and, most of all, a beautiful, endearing, sweet and non-self-obsessed host in the goddess-like body of Heidi Klum. Love this show, and you'd be missing a treat if you don't tune in. A

Gah! What has happened to Ugly Betty? The show's been rapidly sinking since the start of the second year, and season three was just as annoying. Let's start with Betty, who is by far the most insufferable lead character in any show right now. I don't think a single episode goes by where I don't want to strangle the girl and her stupid, ridiculous family. What the show needs is to move away from the Suaraz family junk and return to the campy, soapy Mode-related storylines that made the show so unique in the first place. No more love interests for Betty (and, great, Henry's back... because he wasn't played out enough already), cut down on Betty in general (we don't need her in every single goddamn storyline) don't try and "humanize" Wilhelmina, utilize Amanda and Marc more, and stop writing out characters with so much potential (Alexis, Christina) and replacing them with moronic newbies (Connor, Matt). Snore. It even seems ABC's given up on this show, dumping it to Friday nights next season. The finale showed some signs of improvement, but if Betty continues to stink up the joint, I'm officially out. D

3.5 Years

Wow, I just realized I've been a member here for three and a half years. Too bad the whole thing's gone to hell in a handbasket.

Oh and I love the way the 'News' in my 'Feed' box is still from 2007. Really? Has there not been news since then?

What a complete farce TV.com has become.

In addition, someone told me the other day that TV.com doesn't have as up to date info as IMDB on television shows. How can that possibly be? Isn't this supposed to be the most comprehensive database on TV info? I guess it's not. Well ... I'm off to Television Without Pity which at least has several irreverent and hilarious recaps on shows. A bientot!

4 years new editorships and Dom
I've been here for 4 years. I have 2 new editorships - Sofia milos (which I had 36 points for so long that I never thought I would get that guide) and Chris Barrie (yay I got Rimmer). Now for something completely different and sad - Dom DeLuise has passed away. I posted a forum entry about it in his forum - RIP. Sorry to be so quick but I don't have much time at the moment cheers

Upcoming reviews and a site tease

I'm going to start posting reviews every now and then. Originally I posted reviews on a regular basis but then stopped and I had to write a new review to keep my GS Top 500 review emblem which is why I wrote the Prince of Persia review last month. I'll probably write reviews for 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand, Afro Samurai and possibly Matt Hazard: Eat Lead. Obviously 50 Cent and Afro Samurai aren't great games that need further breakdown and analysis but I'm kind of in the mood in rag on something since they're both meh games. I just started Matt Hazard today and while the writing and concept are quite good it doesn't help keep the game enjoyable since the combat is boring and wonky.

Also in the upcoming months a site I'm going to be contributing to is going to launch. A fellow GS member is involved and is working on the site and it's going to be quite cool. I'm hoping people here will check it out and perhaps spend some of their time on the site since GS has been a bit crap. I'll of course post updates when the site is getting closer to launch.

Theft/ Contributions
My classmate lost his iPod Nano Chromatic on Friday. We`re all pretty sure it`s due to theft because there have been two cellphones and two cameras in our class that have gone missing. My classmate left it in his bag, which was placed on the ledge of our classroom in the early morning, he only discovered it was missing right before we went out for our lunch break as we were dressing up for PE. Anyway, so some guys from my class asked everyone to stay in the room, so we could try to look for the thief, but with no avail, so everyone just left. When we got back from our lunch break, our class adviser came in, he was really angry and said he`d have to tell the ODS (Office of Disciplinary Services) about it, then he left for his class in the classroom beside ours and our CLE (Christian Life Education) teacher came in our room for our class. We took our quiz and then after the quiz our teacher asked us why our class adviser was mad and we told him the story. Our teacher tried to help us find the thief by saying how stealing leads only to temporary pleasure and when caught, no one would look at the thief in the same way. So he proposed that we all put down our heads on the table and if the thief wanted to admit to it, he could just raise his head, so not everyone would find out about it, but no one gave in. So CLE was done and it was time for Chinese. Our Class Adviser came in again and had an empty bag, he asked everyone with electronic gadgets to put the gadgets in that empty bag (because we aren`t allowed to bring electronic devices to school and if there were to be an inspection we`d all get sanctioned, so yeah, our adviser really looks out for us.) Chinese came and after Chinese was PE, so we all went our separate ways, but out class adviser asked us to leave all our stuff in the room to be inspected, but I was sure no one would get caught, the thief probably hid it somewhere already.

There is this one person who we all think did it. For the following reasons:
1. He was acting suspicious when we were all joking around about the inspection.
2. He was alone in our classroom during the whole Recess period (opportunity to steal.)
3. He went to the comfort room after recess during Math period. (He could have used that opportunity to hide the iPod if he didn`t already hide it during Recess.)
4. He was especially quite when we were all talking about it.
5. He was stealing ballpens off the floor during Chinese Class.

Anyway...

I`ve added 110 episodes of Late night recently, the first season. Check it out! I`ll be adding the rest very soon!

What's this?
A Blog? Wow... it has been many months since my last one. I actually forgot how to do the tags for my font. How very sad.

It was a tough year last year. I lost my job (nothing I did, they just can't afford me anymore) and haven't been able to get another one. Got sick and had to go through a the whole medical testing thing again and busted my back a couple of times (bulging discs, yay!).

I was hoping that this year would be better but it began with my Grandfather having a fall on New Years Day and going into hospital. He developed pneumonia and passed away at 5am last Thursday. His Funeral is tomorrow. He was 93 years old, so he did well. He was so lonely the last couple of years without my Grandmother and I pray that he is now reunited with her.

Loff and hugs to you all.

But I had no time to even think about that. At the start of the year, I was a regular bloke. One day while working at the weapon store, I was shot in the arm by a gun I'd never seen before. The bullet was removed but somehow I started having visions, and having weird impulses to stop them from happening.

Things only got weirder when my visions took me to Sweden, where I met my new sidekick, Kemp, and together we unravelled a conspiracy that all of my visions were linked to the evil doings of a secret Society bent on destroying the world. Then things got way too absurd when trying to escape the clutches of some evil henchmen, I turned into a hawk and found out that I was an umption, which is an odd word for shapeshifter.

Then the pivotal thing happened. I was tracked down by a new Society member named Newbie and shot point blank in the head. Fortunately, he didn't realise this gun didn't fire bullets. Unfortunately, it wiped out my memory.

When I awoke in an odd place with no memory at all, of who I was, where I was from or what I had for breakfast the day before, I was confused to say the least. Being an amnesiac for an entire season (Spring) was odd, but I still managed to get sucked into inadvertently get sucked into fighting the Society. I met leprechauns, witches, and umptions (when I didn't realise I myself was one too), and me, my sister Alana, who I may or may not have bedded with when I didn't know who she was, and Kemp found out that the Society's main goal was to find the Holy Pail, which had powers beyond reason or logic. So we figured we may as well get to it first. This was easier said than done when Mac, a witch and a lover, was being held captive by Stikky, who turned out to be not only the leader of the Society, but also my father, and Mac's ex-husband and Society supervisor, Alex was tracking down the pail with help from martial arts specialist and umption, Brain. We all found the giant Pail at about the same time and ended up at a Mexican standoff in Sweden. We all battled, and there were a few casualties, including Mac, who accidentally faked her death. More importantly, the Pail revived my memory, and I remembered all about me, that I was Micky Clarke, and my plans.

Unfortunately, when I snapped out of it, I learned that the Society had succeeded in getting the Pail, so we formed a Rebellion to fight the Society, only to learn of a greater threat - I had an evil twin named Jimbo that wants to destroy the world. Naturally this was a downer, so we trained at the House of the Rising Sun until it was destroyed, and then we found a new base at the Rebellion doctor, Olive Cox (or Doc's) apartment, until it was destroyed, and then we settled for an abandoned warehouse until three of our comrades' heads were delivered, which was when we moved the base to the Dove Shack, which was a shoddy cubby house from my childhood. Speaking of the Dove, our inventor, who has passed on since, created the Dove, a silver device that you shove in your neck to become super strong and beat people up.

When Jimbo kidnapped Alana, I vowed to get my sister back, and when I had a vision that showed the end of the world, I figured Jimbo was behind it. So at the end of this disastrous, stressful year, on New Year's Eve at 11:59pm, I was stuck in a room with Jimbo, who had just killed Stikky (which honestly is one less thing I have to worry about), but he and the Society had killed all of our team members, except Doc, Mac and Kemp, who had a dagger with which to stab Jimbo. When I found out that the Holy Pail was going to destroy the world, and in a few seconds at that, I put in the Dove, threw Jimbo against the wall, and at the last second charged into the Pail with so much force that I was either going to blow up (which would have happened if I'd stayed in the room anyway) or that I had prevented the explosion and saved the world.

Now that 2008 is finally over, hopefully 2009 will be a little better. Unfortunately, I'm still in the middle of crashing through the Pail at light speed so I dunno what's going to happen.

***

"Huh?" I opened my eyes and found myself in a weird enclosure.

"He's awake!" Kemp cheered, and Doc, Mac and Alana gathered around me.

"Dude, you were awesome" Mac said. "You destroyed the Pail and caused it to implode on itself. It's crazy you weren't hurt"

"I saved the world too" Kemp bragged. "I stabbed Jimbo a dozen times while he was unconscious. He won't be bothering us anymore.

"And I burned down the Society mansion for funsies" Doc shrugged.

"I did my part" Mac said. "I found Alana, and got her memory back with a spell that I wrote myself"

"How did it end up working then?" Alana grinned.

"So the Society's completely diminished, Jimbo's gone and the world is finally safe" Kemp recapped. "How are you feeling, Micky?"

"Who's Micky?" I asked. "Who the hell are you guys, and why are you wearing nametags?"

"Oh, not again" Alana groaned.

"And that's what's called a full circle" Mac rolled her eyes.

"Huh?" I repeated. I had no memory of who I was or what my history was, and why all these crazy people were talking about being vigilantes like it was cool. This was going to be a confusing year.

And thus ends the Micky saga. We laughed, we cried, we cut off sentences in the middle of a concluding rant about the longest blog series in the

Remember me?

It's been so long...

I don't know how to do this anymore. I don't have much to say. My internet's gotten worse, it's now even hard to open this site, I'm tired of it, if it isn't changd soon, I might even consider suicide.

I haven't been doing much anyway, at least, outside school, and I'm understanding my schoolwork less and less, and Arsenal have drawn 4 times in a row somehow, concentrating is even harder now, and exams are starting next month. No time for me to even play footie. Or as much as I'd like

ugh

Seriously, what do gangbangers need books for?

Still, that's not enough to keep the extra-physical cynical lyrical animal down like an article. I'll come on here more often soon enough and comment, though many of my friends have left, and blog again before the end of the year.

Toodles!

10,000 Posts

Whew, well, it's been like four months since my last blog, but I have finally made it to 10,000 forum posts. I've been here now since around March 2004, so this has been a long time coming.

I'm not sure if I'll post as often as I used to now; we'll just have to see. xD

So yeah, here's to my second of two main achievements I set myself - the first of which was to reach level 30. I was going to make a party thread, but the GS text editor was being rubbish and would not let me insert spoilers. So I guess this blog will have to do instead.

In my time, I've met some great folk here onm these forums as well as a few 'enemies' although I doubt they dislike me that much.

Here's to three years' solid posting and many more to come hopefully.

GOODBYE TV.com - I'm Leaving

Hey guys, if anyone actually remembers me, then you'll know I haven't been online in quite some time. This year I have been preoccupied with other things and have had little time to contribute to this site. I logged in for the first time in about four months yesterday and saw that I'd been voluntarily resigned from all my guides. But its all ok, they've all gone to people who will do I great job. I have been a part of this site since 2003, back when it was TVTome, and now am leaving in 2007. In a way its quite sad because its been a part of my life for so long! lol - But I thought I'd log in and say goodbye to all you guys who posted comments on all my silly celebrity blogs (which i deleted and laughed at when I saw what I had posted! lol), this is an awesome little internet community to be apart of, and its been a blast! I'll log in once more at the end of the week to delete my account.

Goodbye, and godspeed.
