XBL Players..

Ok, so I was playinz GTA IV online (my favourite online game), and over time I've met some alright peoplez. Some have been HUGE jerkz, but for most the timez, itz been okeyz. Then, one time, I was playinz, and there was a bunch of us all talkinz about our favourite cars (mine was the Gadgetmobile), when this random girl comes on. It was the basic thing you'd expect, some of the guyz started beinz all nice, but then, she startz beinz a complete jerk. I honestnezz don't get it, she made a big deal about being a girl against a bunch of guyz. I've played with girlz online, and they've been basically like any other player.

And then, like, sometimez, again, on GTA IV, therez the most racist people I've ever heard! Like, if therez anyone who isn'tof like, anglo whatever descent, they're gonna get garbage from some jerk. Like, itz jus wrong, like, how much the "N" word is tossed around. Here in Australia if you said that you'd get dropped in 0.5 secondz flat.

Then therez also my kind of player, and I admit,I probzly do get annoyinz. But there are peoplez worse than me. Like, peoplewho play music into their microphonez, especially when itz screamo or rap. It jus soundz worse through a microphone. Then there are peoplez who sing. And peoplez who recite thingz from showz/youtube (guilty).

If you gotz any otherz peoplez, leave a comment.

Dave Goes To LIberty City

So, I haven't finished GTA IV, but here's how I'm finding it so far.

Well, it starts off showing a guy getting punished by a mistress. Kinda freaky, but whatever. After a while of conversation, sprinkled with the ever colourful accent of the "old country". Niko is a man who wants a new start in The Land Of Opporunity, and his cousin promises this, but, his cousin is a filthy liar. The first thing I noticed, is that Niko is a generally likeable guy. Previous entries in the GTA series have had us running around as Tommy Vercetti, the typical criminal. Unfortunately, due to the Hot Coffee controversy, I missed out on San Andreas, but what I did play of SA was not impressing.

Anyway, Liberty City is all new. The minute you walk out onto the street, it screams New York. It even comes with foul-mouthed New Yorkers. It rocks. So, I went to steal a car, and I am used to jumping in, and finding the keys in the ignition. But, the door was locked. This was expected. But what shocked me, was Niko smashed the window, and the game had me hitting the triggers, madly hot wiring the car. Unfortunately, the police saw me, and I was into a chase.

The driving in the game has also been revised. Instead of flying around corners at 110km/h, with no reprecussions, you will find yourself having to brake, lest you spin out and end up with your car in a wall. But, have no fear. For most cars, this is a simple thing, and will feel fluid with a bit of practice. Anywayz, the police are following me, and it seems about what you'd expect. Sirens, speed, wanted stars. But then in my mini-map, there's a flashing red and blue circle. This circle shows how far you have to go before you can escape the police. One star is easy. Two stars is kinda tough. And that's as high as I've gotten so far.

So, I get away, but my car is a wreck. Luckily, Niko is far more agile than his predecessors. He can climb, vault over small fences, swim, and other stuff. What makes this such a big leap, is how smooth it looks. Normally, GTA characters are essentially robots. Niko, though still retaining a slight robotic aura, moves much smoother, and it's just good, and makes the whole experience a lot more enjoyable.

You'll be hearing more once I've finished the game, so yeah, I highly suggest buying it now.

Gloves... Friend or Foe?

So, I broke out my old gloves the other day cause winter was starting to set in, and when I took them off, my hands felt completely dry. Too dry. If I moved my hand, it felt like there was no moisture whatsoever. So, I have come to the conclusion my gloves are evil. Yes, in fact, one of them was the stunt double for Michael Jackson's white glove. I SHOULD HAVE SEEN THIS COMING!

Suggestions For Lego Games

I love the Lego games. They're strange, often stupid, but have an undeniable charm you only really get when you actually play. SO far it's just been Star Wars, but Indiana Jones and Batman are on the way. What other movies/games would be awesome in Lego?

(these are not being sent to LucasArts or Traveller's Tales)

Is It Wrong To Break Out Into Song And Dance?

This is just a small post, but I really need anyone to comment. Am I weird if I break out into song and dance at random intervals of the day?

Double Post: Kevin Rudd's Apology to the Aboriginals and Valentine's Wishes!

Howdy, jack_sparrow_28 here, with my first ever... "DOUBLE POST"! These are designed for situations when there's too much stuff I gotta say, and I wanna keep it to one post, so here we are. First up, Kevin Rudd's "Sorry Speech" to the Aboriginals and the Stolen Generation.

For any Americans who have no idea what I'm on about, here's the deal. In the early 1900's, the early Aussies decided to start taking Aboriginal kids fom their parents, it was mostly half castes (part white, part black), but full blown Aboriginals were taken as well. This was basically to eliminate the Aboriginal race altogether, because they were seen not as a dignified race with a diverse culture, but a and to quote "problem". This went on for years, but around 30 years back, it was stopped. I'm not great at history, but that's basically a brief overview. So, John Howard, our former Prime Minister (equivalent to your President), despite enormous pressure from the Aboriginal population would never formally apologize for the actions of the early Aussies, and from my memory, I only ever heard him say "We regret what happened" yadda yadda yadda. So, now, we got a new Prime Minister, Kevin Rudd (he looks a bit like the Milky Bar Kid), and over the radio, on the telly, and in front of thousands of Aussies, black and white, formally apologized and said "Sorry" for what happened. In my opinion, this apology was waaaaay overdue, and I think it'll make a lot of people happy. It won't instantly cure all the problems which have developed because of the Stolen Generations, but it's a start.

Now onto the Valentine's Wishes.

It's Valentine's Day! Or it should be by the time anyone reads this, if not, think of it as an early Valentine's thing. In any case, HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY! This goes out to everyone with or without a special someone, and I hope that anyone with a special someone makes today extra special, and anyone without someone special will sum up the guts to go and wish anyone they fancy a Happy Valentine's Day. Me? We'll, I don't have anyone, and the girl I fancy is my best mate's girlfriend, so I'm stuffed. Yeaaaaahh... I coulda ended this better.

I Hate Corey!!!

I hate Party Boy Corey, and so do many other people. He's just an annoying idiot who wears is trademark sunglasses so no one can see how wasted he is! And people are paying him to go to parties! HE HAS IT EASIER OFF THEN CELEBRITIES! At least they work. But, two things have been keeping me sane. One, he's just a gimmick, and will probably end up like child actors, and two, I have been relieving my stress on http://slapcorey.com/ It's helped me immensley. Check it out, and help the counter get to 1 000 000!

I Had To Get A Lift Home From A Teacher! OMG!

Everyday, I sit at a tree on the school oval, and wait for my bus to drive past, then I follow it up to where it stops in the school, but today, there was no number! And I missed it! Normally, I'm really confident, and calm in any situation, but I was absolutely stuffed. Then, a teacher offered me a lift home, and I couldn't really say no. Otherwise, I'd have to stay at school an hour longer! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

So, after waiting 20 minutes anyway, I jumped in his car and it was one of the most awkward moments of my life. Not as awkward as when your parents give you "The Talk", but more awkward then telling your best mate's girlfriend you like her. Trust me, I've done both, and they're both awkward as hell. Eventually, I got back home, after a flurry of awkward silences and poor attempts at idle conversation. But, now I'm home and happy. It's all good.

Class Of 3000

I know I may be a tad old to be watching cartoons, but I just find the news and crime shows depressing. But Class Of 3000 stands out from the crowd.

Sunny Bridges, a worldwide music sensation, finds that he is no longer a musician, but a brand of cola, a jack in the box, and every other product imaginable, and walks off-stage in the middle of a concert in Japan. He returns to his hometown, where Li'l D, a kid who idolizes Sunny, is in search of a new music teacher, as the old one was in a prison. After a lot of work from Li'l D and his class, Sunny agrees to teach them, as long as they don't tell anyone where he is. It's an original show, with some awesome music, which is all hip hop. I'm normally a rock head, and wouldn't ever listen to hip hop, but the music in this show is just that good, mainly because Andre 3000 of Outkast is involved, writing the music, and voicing Sunny Bridges. It's a fresh show, which has plenty of fast paced jokes which would entertain parents, and traditional slap-stick comedy, involving a character running into a wall with a tuba stuck on their head.

This is one of those shows you wish was around when you were a kid. Americans have had this show for a few years, but any Aussies who are undecided about watching it, give it a chance, you'll be pleasantly surprised.

My 81st Blog Post! What An Event!

Here we are, at my 81st blog post! Why is it such a great moment? I don't know actually...

Anyhow, I am absolutely loving this so far, except I can't get a union going! What the hell!?! Can't I have a union? Luckily, I have two members, and only need two more. Also, I love reviewing stuff, whether or not people actually read them... Actually, it'd help if someone read them, ah well. There have been some big moments since I joined. The new E3... Jeff "leaving"... Ah... That's about it. Well, there have been some awesome games, Assassin's Creed, Stranglehold, Halo 3, Call of Duty 4, Burnout Paradise, Guitar Hero 3, and many many more I've still to buy. But, you guys have been awesome. I know I can be annoying as hell sometimes, but you guys put up with me. AWWWWWW!

Anyhow, this has been a fairly pointless event, I'll be sure to make my 100th post a bit more AMAZING!

Ever Felt Like You're Living In A TV Show? Cause I Do!

Throughout last year, I had the strange feeling I was living in a TV show, like a collaboration of a drama and a sitcom. Bad stuff was happening to my friends, people were breaking up and getting together, and the entire while I was making stupid jokes. There's the main characters, including myself, since it's my life, then there were my best friends. Then there was the supporting cast, the rest of the year, teachers, and then there were the extras, which was the rest of the school. It was weird, I could've based a script on it! Does anyone else get that? Ever? Don't make me feel weird!

I Didn't Know Who Jeff Gertsmann Was!

I only realised today, I've had the complete wrong person when I thought of Jeff Gertsmann! After watching the Kand and Lynch review, I was confused, so I searched around, and realised, I had the wrong person! But now that I know that JEFF IS GONE... What the hell? He was awesome!

Scrubs - My Musical

Scrubs is my favourite show ever. It makes me laugh, and is still deep. But, there's one episode which has always stood out, called "My Musical". A patient hits their head, and begins to hear everyone singing, and when she's taken to Sacred Heart, the entire hospital turns into... Hmmm... Think of ER meets The Sound Of Musical. But a thousand times funnier. If you get the chance, see this episode. I swear, you'll love it. People new to the series might find it a tad strange, but will no doubt enjoy it anyway.

Do Not Miss Juno!

This year, I have been dissapointed in movie releases, I haven't seen that many, but the ones I have seen have been good, but nothing stood out, until today. I went to see Juno with my friends, and to be honest, I was a little unconvinced by an independent film recieving a 5 Star rating, but after seeing it, trust me, it is a movie yu have to see to really experience.

It's about a 16 year old girl, Juno, who accidentally gets pregnant, and her subsequent experiences. It may seem like a simple idea, but it is pulled off brilliantly, with loveable characters, an original soundtrack of quirky songs, that really suit the film.

Overall, Juno is a movie that will move you, and will also make you laugh frequently, and you will want to see it again. I didn't cause I ran out of money, I'll just wait for the DVD.

Second Interview With The Master Chief

Me: Here I am, back at the interview couch after what seems like years, it's actually just a few months, but I'm back with a familiar guest, Master Chief.

Chief: Why did I come back here?

Me: Because I promised you tickets to the next NRL Grand Final.

Chief: Right.

Me: So, Chief, your final game was released in September last year, and it was a smash hit, breaking records, despite the fact that it wasn't that different from the last ones, and you didn't make it back to earth...

Chief: Records won't be the only thing broken if you don't shut up!

Me: Sorry. I never said it was a bad thing...

Chief: Sure. You better watch your back, because I'll be strangling you.

Me: So why would I have to watch my back?

Chief: Because I'll stab you in the back while strangling you.

Me: Oh... Uh... Anyway, where are you gonna go from here?

Chief: I was offered a part in an independent film about a man in a giant suit who goes on to save the Earth from an onslaught of religious aliens.

Me: That's basically Halo all over again.

Chief: No it isn't.

Me: Yes it is.

Chief: No it isn't.

Me: YES IT IS!

Chief: NO IT ISN'T!

(Chief then proceeds to activate a plasma grenade and blow up my living room, before driving off)

Interview With Lara Croft (Revisited)

Me: Hello Ms Croft.

Lara: Please, call me Lara.

Me: Okey dokey then. You have kinda dropped out of the spotlight, but you came roaring back with your two new games, Tomb Raider: Legend and Tomb Raider Anniversary, how is that working?

Lara: It's been great. I've loved getting back out and exploring uncharted areas.

Me: Fantastic. But, one thing I want to ask about, is weaponry. You're known for being excellent with many weapons, but you are always ready to show off your twoguns.

Lara: Yeah, I've had them for years, and they seem to be a trademark. I don't know why, but men on the street always want to see my guns, but women curse at me. Maybe men like my guns more.

Me: I know I do.

Lara: ...

Me: ...

Lara: ...

Me: Well, you also are an expert at driving, and you pull of some insane stunts. are you ever nervous?

Lara: I'd rather leave...

Me: No, don't leave now! I have questions!

Lara: Goodbye

(door slams)

Me: !@#$

Who Made Canon Rock?

Two years back I saw Canon Rock on YouTube, and I still am re-watching it to this day. But I'm confused about who made it orignally. I know there was a load of posers, but I heard some guy with a really long name did it, and then I heard a guy named JerryC did it, and now I'm chasing my tail on the net trying to get it right. If anyone knows, could they tell me please???
