The Worst Doctor Who You'll Ever See...

If you're one of those naughty Russell T Davies bashers, you might want to see this before you ever call his writing again.

"Dimensions in Time" is a 1993 children in need special that the BBC made to celebrate 30 years of Doctor Who. Unlike "The Three Doctors" or "The Five Doctors" this is not a birthday treat, as you'll see if you follow the link below to watch...

The basic story sees the TARDIS land in Albert Square (Yes, this is a crossover with flamming "Eastenders"!) as the Rani launches an evil (and camp) attack on the Doctor.

It has to be seen to be believed, and afterwards, you'll appreciate RTD's Doctor Who in a way you never have before.

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the worst Doctor Who ever made...

My Television Hell

This summer has to be the worst television I've seen in a long time. Aside from "Lost" and "Scrubs" (and "War at Home" too) there's absolutly nothing on television that catches my eye.

I'm not a reality television fan, so Big Brother, Love Island and The X Factor hold no interest for me whatsoever. If they're ever on, I switch over. It's only when my girlfriend wants to watch them that they are switched on in my household.

As for the Americans, you guys fret when you don't have any good television for three months, and that you have to wait for the likes of Lost to return. HOW DO YOU THINK US BRITS FEEL? We have good television (in large numbers) from January to June every year, and then nothing. July through to the beginning of the New Year iun January sees the arrival of absolute rubbish on our screens. I call the period "DVD Kingdom" because all I ever watch are DVDs.

And this year is no different. I'm currently watching Alias on DVD, a series I've never had a chance to view befire (btw, it's brilliant) and after that, I'm planning on rewatching all of Scrubs again from the start, and BBC's Hustle too. And that's what I do: watch DVDs, because my television has let me down.

The good news this year is television stations are finally booking up their ideas. In October, the BBC launch Torchwood, which should be great, and ITV launch Primeval, a new sci-fi series about a Dinosaur-loving proffessor. And I can't wait, because there's nothing better than good television.

And I don't want to have to watch until January for it to return ever again.

Doctor Who: Second Term Report

Granted, this may be almost two months late, but better late than never I say. So on with proceedings: what did I think of the second half of the second series of Doctor Who?

Only one way to find out...FIGHT! (Sorry, wrong show):

EP 8: The Impossible Planet -this year's version of the Empty Child is a rollercoster of a ride, and for the first time eith the new series, I can't wait to find out what happens next.

EP9: The Satan Pit - boy, I'm sooooooo loving this new darker direction for the series - why can't all the episodes be like this, instead of silly nonense like...

EP 10: Love and Monsters - 'Nuff said

EP11: Fear Her - I really can't get my head around this one. Is it a good episode or not? I can't decide. Write your answers on a postcard and send them to the usual address.

EP 12: Army of Ghosts - loved the cliffhanger. Why couldn't Love and Monsters be this good?

EP 13: Doomsday - those aren't tears, I'm just allergic to dust...Honest guv'nor

Whoa - How Time Flies!

It's been a while since my last post here on tv.com (mainly because I've had no free time on my hands. No fair!). But I'm still here, checking up on my favourite pages every now and then.

I'm writing this now to inform all you Doctor Who fans (and I know there's plenty of you!) of the now updated Torchwood pages. The episode guide has been expanded, the series stars added, writers/directors named. So all that's left is for you to join us in the forum.

You know you want to...
