Donnie Darko is not the type of movie that needs or even should have a sequel. If they ruin it with this sequel, I will kill the director.

Agreed with everyone else. I just saw it for the first time, and I don't see why it needs a sequel. It's like the sequel to Once Were Warriors (greatest Kiwi movie ever, if you haven't seen it see it).
