U2 have always been considered a great band but this album certainly lets them down! Lack of catchy rythms and is certinly not the sounds of U2 that we are used to.
Middle ranged notes, middle ranged solos, middles ranged song, middle ranged album! Not great, not bad, middle range.

Excepting american idiot this is undoubtedly the best green day album. The clean guitar lines was unheard of from green day so people listened because of the uniqueness and because the song were catchy and you could listen to them loud free without the worry of bus=rsting eardrums, like with earlier albums.
Every song is a green day classic and one of their best albums... EVER!

This album really launched green days career as it was new and attracted a lot of attention, although not as much as green day had hoped. This album showed green days unique style but many said the song were very similar so for the next album-insomniac-green day branched out on their songs but as insomniac was a flop people decided green day should revert back to the style of music from dookie!

Although green day had established themself as a punk band this album took the off the "punk scale." This is probably the poorest green day album yet the planning of the song order yet again saved the album. By putting walking contradiction at the end it reminded people that green day were up-beat punk and therefore people then kept listening to the album.

Although i am indeed a green day fan i find this album a little disappointing. Opening with such a great song (nice guys finish last) it more or less goes downhill from there. This album also let green day experiment as the hadnt really becam worldwide names from insomniac, "king for a day" shows that green day are also capable of writing extremely stupid, yet catchy tunes and although the album was pretty poor, "good riddance" made the album. The most famous green day song really saved this album from being a flop and for this reason people listen to the album and become acustomed to green days style.
