I just have a feeling in my gut bryanoftoons is back....

Well as the clock ticks,I'm only another 24 hours or so away from stuffing my face with turkey,turkey and more turkey. On another note I went to this little animal shelter down here in Ohio called Angels for Animals to look for new cats,we got two,Dillon and Dexter.We'll try getting them by Saturday,my mom's just worried about if they'kk use the litter box:p

So I was wathing BigAl2K's rant on anime censorship and I so agree with him,

See what I don't get about anime is that fact that when we bring it here to America or any other English speaking countries,we have to completey change the actual story and waste tons of money on pointless censorships.

I'll start with....(drumroll!)

One Piece!

Now this anime is one I enjoy but am truly annoyed by what it got from 4kids,such as Sanjii sucking a lolipop,or riceballs changing into cookies,or Zoro becoming Zolo,Belimere's death,and the like

but one thing that really hasme thinkingis this:What would Oda-san say if he saw the 4kidsdub.Despite being froma Japanese speaking country,I'm not sure but if he saw how much was changed,I have a feeling that it would get ugly.No wonder TOEI revoked their liscence to One Piece0__o

And then we have to change every Japanese food into and American food,like(even though these didn't happen) and Fried Shrimp would become Hot dogs,any terryaki would become barbequed meat and the soy sauce would be BBQ sauce,and Sushi would become erm......Jelly rolls maybe?Well you get the picture

And another tihng I hate is things like say,erm,Jack Sparrow and Davey Jones are fighting to the death in an epicbattle, but in One Piece,instead of having a really cool fight scene we have them skipping through a field of flowers. Kids get bullied in real life so why should it be any different for One Piece

And then we hav voice acting. Sanjii was supposed to have a bit of a French accent to match his chef personality,however in the dub we had to give him a Brooklyn accent that doesn't fit him at all,Luffy's voice is a little loud,but Bella Hudson tried too hard to sound like theJapanese voice and madeLuffy sound all screechy.

And what is with this "Kids won't understand a lyric because it is Japanese?" Kids wouldn't even know it's Japanese,that's like saying Americans can't speak english.So you're telling me that Kids will understand the power of Luffy when he defeats Crocodile through a rap theme or happy jolly music that doesn't even fit the situation? Mor likely it'll confuse themand make it hard to follow,so why can't we make an English translation of a Japanese song? Or just use Japanese music and provide little subtitles at the bottom to help kids?

And then we've got Powerpuff girls,they beat the crap out of villans,there's blood,but then in oh say,erm The english dub of Sailor Moon,Usagi falls and skins here knee and then the editors go,Oh no blood protect the children! Kids can't get scraped while riding skateboards and falling off,get papercuts,you know quit acting like you must brainwash kids into thinking that lifehas a reset button.

Then we've got continuity. Like in the Domaepisodes of Yugioh,we have to have Maisay :"Joey The Orichalcos is controlling me!" when she'd know very well what she was doing in the original script. See that's what made the saga so confusing for me,I thought they were trying to give me the idea that everythign Dartz saw was all in his head,and Orichalchos was giving him nightmares, when all that actually happened in the Japanese version.

Another thing,why do we have to change all meaningful Japanese names like Anzu,or Sakura,or Rukia, or Saskue(though these didn't actually happen) get changed to Amy,or Sarah,or Rachel,or Steven,regardless of how easy the names were to say.

It's things like this that make me wonder where we would be if we didn't have companies like Viz,Funimation,and etc,but had 4kids and Dic,owning allAmerican anime

How could sucha lame movie become such a phenomenonal nightmare?

What is the big deal about this movie? Basically it's about two teens who fall in love with h each other(Stolen from the Shakespheare book Romeo and Juliet) and then tries to show it in a romantic,but somehow corny way.Already done in Grease.I can't go anywhere without seeing one hint of this movie where ever I go,When I'm in school,I see a bunch of HSM binders and backpacks,when I'm in the lunchroom,I see some got milk poster that says "Musical by East high,body by milk" and it shows a picture of the cast members with milk moustaches. I go to Wal mart,I see High School Musical School suplies and CDs on the shelves,everywhere I go it's HSM! My mom LOVES this movie for some reason. I only watched it because my mom brought on Itunes and suggested I watched it,thinking I'd like it.I can't believe I managed to sit through the entire movie without turning it off my Ipod. The actors,have I seen them on Suite Life,Hannah Montana,etc? I've watched great,and I mean GREAT films like The SImpsons Movie,Transformers:The Movie,Ratatouille,etc,now those rocked,this? All I see is a generic formula where two teens fall in love,their friends and so called "nemisis" try to seperate them,at the end,everything goes as planned and the bad guys become nice.I can't even watch one minut into it without hearing them break out in a song,which would happen in a musical,but still provide a chance for character to exchange dialogue in a non song based manner.But they sing about EVERYTHING in this movie.I can see why my little brothers dislike it.I honestly cannot see why it has such a large fanbase and let alone became such a jugernaut in the ratings with 17,000 something views.If I wanted a proper musical,I could just go to my local Giant Eagle and ret one myself.But alas everyone has there own opinion right

Well, as far as my relationship went,I decided tojust be friends.She took it well,but now I've got a ton of other kids in my class asking me the same stupid question being "Is Brianna your girfriend?" I've been quite steamed as apparantely I have to tell them TWICE in order for them to get it into their thick skulls.And then they start telling me that if I'm her boyfriend,then I'll get a major popularity boost,however I don't believe in that kind of thing.It's just a factor that's intended todiscriminate theentire student body(IMHO) I'd prefer to keep my life the way it is where I just hang out with my friends,get decent grades,have a nice home to look forward to,and all that jazz

Oh and I won't be online next week,I'm going on Vacation to Disneyworld,looking forward to riding the big guns like Everest and Rockin' Roller Coaster(Ooh I'm an adreanaline junky 0_o)

Oh and on a further note,Happy Haloween! One things for sure,I think I'll pass on the candy(I can't eat certain stuff because of my braces) so I'll just stay home and hand it out

Ok,so today was pretty normal,I'm just sitting in the lunch room eating all nothin special,Then this girl in my school comes to my table whereI'm sitting with my friends,like nothing's happenin at all,she asks me to meet her ather own locker before I'd head of to my fifth period science class,so I go out to recess walk on the track,thinking something fishy's going on(heh too much Goosebumps reruns have instilled on me)Soafter recess I head over to her locker,she hands me a note,I then sit through my science class,wait for my sixth period reading class,I ask the sub if I can go to the bathroom(use it as a chance where I can read the note so no one'll see me.)The coast is clear,everyone else is in their classroom,I go into the bathroom,open up the note,and find it's a invitation to go on date with her to the 7th and 8 gradeHaloween Dance,and well looks like I have a erm....girlfriend(kind embarrased at the moment,didn'tsee it coming)Well,I've said what I needed to say
