I honestly was not expecting this album to be very good. I heard 'Days of the Week' on the radio and I didn't know what to think. I have NO idea why that was the radio song (and the only radio song on top of that). I thought that was the worst song on the album. Shangri-La-Dee-Da is a masterpiece that a lot of people don't even know exists, or was terribly misled because of hearing 'days of the week' on the radio.
The album starts off with 'Dumb Love' which gives an initial weird feel to the album like you really don't know where it's going to go from there. From 'Coma' all the way to 'Transmissions..' is just a wonderful listening experience, 9 songs of some of the best songwriting I've ever heard. 'Song for Sleeping' is a good happy mood song about Scott's son and the album ends strangely also with 'Long Way Home', I've never heard anything like this before, it's completely original. One of my top 5 albums of all time (and i listen to a WIDE variety of music).
