Vernon Reid is a phenomenal guitar player. He DEFINITELY does not get the credit he deserves! This album released in 1995 ,I believe, is just plain great! Reid's talent in funk,jazz,hip/hop,rock and blues is very obvious on this cd. Check out Mistaken Identity the song. DJ Logic is playing the turntables and Reid's guitar is actually understated and in the background, as logic provides a zippy little melody. If you like Living Colour, you'll like this album. This man is a tremendous musician who's talent grows everyday.

This is an incredibly beautiful song. As a guitar player, I really appreciate the phenomenal level of musicianship. Corado Rustici "loses his mind" soloing on this cut! Narada Michael Walden's drumming is exceptional, just like the stuff he did with the Mahavishnu Orchestra. If you want to hear a beautiful and INSPIRING song, this is it! ALL GUITAR PLAYERS MUST HEAR THIS CUT!

I purchased this album back in the late seventies for 99 cents. Now it is selling for over $100!!!!! This is a classic from the legendary funkadelic guitarist Eddie "Smeero" Hazel. With the regular Parliment/Funkadelic line up, Hazel rips on this solo release. His version of the Mamas and the Papas "California Dreamin" is WICKED!! You won't even believe it is the same song, and may never listen to the original again! Covers of Physical Love and the beatles cut "I want you, she's so heavy" are also great. Then there's the rocking "so goes the story" and a funky little ditty called "frantic moment." Very Parliment/Funkadelic. If you play guitar, you will love this album. If you are a P-Funk fan, you will love this album. Eddie Hazel is no longer with us, but he left us with some beautiful stuff, and this is one of his finest. Also, check him out soloing on Maggot Brain, the album. Prime cuts, "maggot brain" and "super stupid!"

This song is a true Jazz/Rock groove. Make sure you listen to the version from the LP "From all sides." Bullock pulls out all stops on this cut. His guitar playing is phenomenal, and the groove is totally infectious. His transitions are smooth, and if you like guitar of just plain funky music, you'll love this SUPER JAM!!!!
