Modern Warfare 2 is okay, but more importantly my Wii will finally get some use.

I just wanted it to be known, I own the game. I don't really want to speak on it too much, though. It's ok. The single player is decent and the multiplayer is ok but it almost feels like too much of the same. Plus, the new kill streaks, perks, ect... just makes the line between good players and bad players much closer. Which I don't like. Regardless, I am having fun and I will unlock all attachments and camos for every gun. I do that instead of prestige. I will probably go on to play that for a long while.

As for a final note on MW2, I enjoyed Borderlands more. lol I ended up leveling up three characters to 50. The Hunter, Siren, and Berserker. The Siren was my dedicated Co-op character that I only used, to play with one of my good friends. I believe that brought my total time to around 6ish days of gameplay. lol Ya, way too much.

On another note, this friday I am getting New Super Mario Bros' Wii. I am really looking forword to that game. I think it looks great and the fact that there is little motion controls is great. I am honestly more excited for this then playing more MW2.

EDIT: Just beat MW2 on veteran. BOOM! lol I think it was much easier then COD4.

Borderlands

Alright, I just finished up borderlands and I thought I would give a few opinions on the game and such. First off, I will get some small details out of the way. I chose to play as the Hunter class. I got all the achievements that are possible on the first play through. There are a few more for reaching new levels (You can level up from 1 to 50), which can be done by playing the "second playthrough" option, which starts a new game and keeps all your stuff. Also, it scales. I completed the game at level 35. I did complete all the side quests as well. Now I shall only touch on a few notable points of the game. I am just going to keep it simplistic.

Borderlands, as you may or may not know is basically a shooter with loot. The quests that you do are set in an open world. There are different zones that you must load into, though. Each zone is quite large and fairly linear in design. As for the shooting, it works quite will, but the looting elements kept me coming back. The loot includes money, ammo, shields, weapons and a few other specific things. I really enjoyed the variety of guns in this game. The elemental damage, that is added to some guns, added to the diversity.

As for the story, well it's mediocre at best but to be honest, it doesn't bug me at all. The looting and gameplay easily mask it. I don't really feel like touching on any other aspect because I am not really writing a review. I'll just list off a few things that I didn't like about it.

One issue I have seen people talk about is that there is no "bank" that you can store weapons in. There are some pretty unique weapons and I would love to keep some and show them off, but they are useless to use because they are weak now. I would have liked to have a place to store them. Your backpack does upgrade but you are sharing it with all your other items so I ran out of room once it a while. To be honest, it is a small issue that really effected me maybe once of twice.

Another issue is the game is pretty easy. I guess I just over leveled with all the side missions but still, I beat all the missions and bosses with ease. I died maybe 5 times through the whole game. This again, is a very small issue, because I had a blast playing through it.

One other small point is the frame rate in a few spots. It drops when there is too much action on the screen at once. It sort of soils the near end of the game in a specific location. Over all, the frame rate is steady, though. Just two important spots in the game notably lag in frame rate, which is unfortunate.

Well to sum it up, Borderlands is easily the best game I played all year. I enjoyed it from start to finish. I do plan on playing the second playthrough and I am sure I will enjoy just as much. Obviously, I fully recommend getting this game.

Dragonball Remastered. Notice the absence of "Z".

I finally have time to write one of these again. To get the title out of the way, yes, FUNimation finally received the rights to the first "season" of Dragonball. Of course, Dragonball is the first out of the three and it entails Goku's childhood. This came as a shock to me that they actually were doing this. I literally was randomly searching and I found the box set's artwork. Sure enough, it was legit and it had been released three days earlier. It was under the radar to say the least, but when I visited the DBZ site, they did have an advertisement for it.

It's basically the same as the Z and GT sets. It's in 4:3......... blah blah blah. I picked it up and now I am remembering how much I enjoyed this series. It's truly my favorite out of the three. I must just comment that the music is amazing. I love it. Well enough gawking. lol

As for everything else, it's the same. College, skating, games, and hardly any sleep. Note that the time I am writing this is 4am. Oh and I found a game for $20 at Walmart that I was actually going to buy for full price when it first came out. That game is Dead Space. I haven't played much but so far, I love it. It's atmosphere is truly immersive. Well I have proof read this guy, and I really can't think of anything else to say, so farewell.

PS I dyed my hair purple. Oh snap.

Persona 4

I just beat the game and aparently got the true ending. Probably the greatest game I've ever played. It rates up with Onimusha 2, which is quite an accoplishment. I will probably elaborate a little later in another blog. Time to sleep.

Today a little bit of me died.

This is going to be a very short blog. I'm just informing you that a little bit of me has died today due to a cinematic release to movie theaters across the nation. Dragonball Evolution is finally here. Let the middle finger to the DB fanbase fly high, for this day has scarred my entire existence. That is all.

A college related update in a nutshell.

As some of you may know, I'm currently enrolled in college to be a microcomputer tech. I just finished my first semester and am now just starting on my second. This first semester went really well. i got only one B. The rest were A's. The classes aren't too hard if you know about computers but I'm still learning alot.

Other news,

  • I picked up World at War. Let me just say COD4 is better and leave it at that.
  • It hasn't gone above zero degrees here ONCE in the past two weeks, which is great. -_-
  • hmmm....... I guess nothing else. lol

Leave me a comment letting me know how all you guys and gals are doing. It'll be nice to hear from you, considering I have little free time at the moment to hit up any other part of the site. Peace...

An update. Possibly epic but surely boring.

This will be me babbling on about what's new and what's interesting me at the moment. It should be pretty long but it all depends on my stamina.

First off, finals. Well it appears since my classes are so hands-on I only have final projects. I don't have any "finals", which was a nice relief. I've done pretty well coming off the total mess that was High School. Most of my grades are A's or B's. I think I may get one C which is fine. This next semester I am taking 17 credits which will prove to consume my time and my soul. Yipee!

Next, and probably more appropriate, my gaming. I actually just found the Orange Box at Walmart for $20 and I couldn't say no, even though I already pick up Portal Still Alive on Xbox Live. I guess more achievement points for me. I must say the Orange Box's Portal challenge achievements are pretty crazy. I already got every other achievement in both versions except for those challenge mission achievements in the Orange Box version. I might not be able to with the "steps" challenges. I'm not too good at those.

Half Life 2 and Ep 1 and 2 are three games I've never played. I am enjoying the first one and I've heard that the other too are better so I guess I'm in for some good gaming. I recommend the Orange Box to anyone. Especially if it's only $20. Also, there is Team Fortress 2. Let's just say I'm not impressed. I'm sure there are lovers of it but when it comes to online shooters, there are three in my book.

That brings me to a game that I've been enjoying a lot. Gears of War 2. I first played it on Co-op with one of my better friends, on normal. It was way too easy but I enjoyed it so much. I have since gone back alone and played the game on Hardcore to completion. I love the game. It was great. Now me and my friend are playing it on Co-op Hardcore so he can get that achievement. lol Plus it's just a fun campagin. I never really messed with insane difficulty but I might. I may have the skill but I doubt I'd have the patience to beat it.

Another thing that I've been enjoying, that is gaming related is the new dashboard. The avitars are fine. Nothing really special to me but it's a welcomed edition. The new interface works much better in my opinion. I'm still getting used to it though. Playing games from the hard drive is great. I bought a 120g drive so I could do it. I'm not regretting that choice. The box is so quite and my chances of Red Ringing is lowered. Also, a feature that I could have cared less about before it came out, but now is one of my favorite features is Netflix. Sure it's starting out slow but it can only get better. I love watching shows like CSI through it.

Oh!! and I'm still not playing my Wii. I sort of feel bad about it. Oh well. When I do turn it on, it's either to play Super Mario World for the SNES or Mario 64, which is still the best 3D mario game even with it's, now laughable, graphics.

Another thing that I just got for an early Christmas present was the seventh season of DBZ remastered. I had no idea it was out but I guess it is. It's the start of the Buu saga, which is my favorite, even if most don't share that opinion. I'm also thinking of buying DBGT remastered. Maybe.....

On another note, there was a new "episode" of Dragonball released and it takes place two years after the Buu saga. It was surprisingly good and I recommend any DB fan to check it out. There is no dub to it so you'll need to read subs, which is a blessing in disguise. Trust me on that one. Here is the link to the episode. New DB Episode. 2008 DB The Return of Son Goku and Friends!

A little bit of music news... I bought the new Dir en Grey CD called "Uroboros". It's a mixture of heavy and softer songs which is a nice change from "The Marrow of a Bone". Not much more to say about that besides it a great edition. Oh one thing. I guess there are two versions of the songs Glass Skin and Dozing Green. One in Japanese and the other in English, I'm assuming. Let me just say, both songs were released, in Japanese, before the CD came out. Listening to those songs in English is just weird. It sounds like he's singing the wrong lyrics. lol I can't even listen to them.

As for other life stuff...... Well there is nothing really new. Everything is boring and dull. lol At least I'm happy.

Well that's all I have for you. I'm now going to work on some homework then play some Gears, so I'm off. Peace.

A Game Related Change of Taste.

Well I have owned COD4 for a while now. I played campaign on Hardened and I basically put it away till just recently. I decided to finally try multiplayer. As a Halo fan, i was a bit put off by it but now, after playing it, I love it. In all honestly, I like it better then Halo 3. I think it's just something new, as well. Well that's it I guess. COD4>H3

Other News. Ya, I stole your idea Peng. lol

  • I'm doing extremely well in college, but it's time consuming. That's fine though. I really enjoy my classes.
  • I just picked up Dragonball Z remastered season 6 and I am remembering why I love the cell saga, and why I hate Mr. Satan. lol
  • I redesigned my desktop by adding a "dock" on the task bar, in Vista. I also am using the side bar that's new to Vista. No icons, as well. Here is a pic of it. The icons get bigger as you go over them on the taskbar, like so, and the icons on the right become visible once you go over them, like so.
  • I just recently turned on my Wii for the first time in about 3 months. Let's just say that didn't last too long.

Microcomputer Technology

I've made my choice. I'm majoring in Microcomputer Technology. I'll be attending college for 3 years for 64 credits. After that I plan on getting straight to work. I don't really want to go more then that but who knows. Maybe I will. All in all, I'm very happy with my choice.

I've been attending classes all this week and I've got to say, college is so much better then high school. The vibe is so much nicer. All my teachers are really nice and funny. My classes are at good times which is a hugh plus.

Well I'm going to go continue enjoying debt. Peace.

A car acciedent.

Me and my girlfriend were driving home from subway today. We drove down a road where there is no stop sign for us but one for a road that intersects. Well we were driving about 30mph when this van deciedes to pull out in front of us. We hit the van on the side, barely able to slow down, totaling the car. I ended up with some back pain and neck pain and so did my girlfriend but it looks like everything will be ok. A note to all you kids, wear your seat belts. If we wouldn't have been, we would've gotten hurt so much more.

Well that's about all I guess. Time to go rest.

I got a Toshiba Laptop today as a gift from my parents. It was intended to be my graduation gift for college. I'm still going but I got my GED. They still got it for me. It's a Celeron but that's all I need. Plus it was a gift which didn't need to be given so I'm very greatful.

Also I just joined Giantbomb.com. This is my profile. Link. Well that's all I've got for now. I know, my blogs are so meaty. Peace.

My life developing.

Well there are a few new things in my life as of recent. I am now employed. I work at a restaurant not too far from my home. I work as a "food runner". My job is to make salads and make dip for any kind of side order, such as bleu cheese, cocktail sauce, ect... I also have to run out the food to the people, even though that is suppose to be the waiter's job. I have a few other duties that come up once in a while like making the sauces.

It pays 6.15 an hour and I work around 20 hours a week. The job pays every week so that's a plus. It's all pretty basic and when it's slow, I don't have to do anything, so it's a nice place to work.

Another thing I ended up doing last month was taking my GED test. I passed it fairly easily. Now I can move on and concentrate on college. I should start some time this year. Not much more to say about that.

Other then those two things, my life has been pretty much the same. I did get COD4 a while ago and I'm really enjoying that. It's quite fun. I wouldn't say it's better then H3 but it's close-ish. I did buy the new maps for H3 a few days ago. I love them. They are much better then the first maps. Blackout is my favorite so far. I got to play the sniper weekend playlist and I played a bunch of sniper matches on blackout. It's really fun. I actually feel like these maps were worth it. Oh and no, I'm not getting GTA4. Go away.

Well that about sums it up. I have to work all this week. Today is my only day off so I'm going to go enjoy it. Peace.

Dir En Grey.

Well my girlfriend gave me an itunes gift card and I decided to get a Dir En Grey cd. I picked Withering to Death and I love it. It's a bit insane, especially considering I'm not familiar with the language what so ever but now I can't stop listening to them. I also bought their single "Dozing Green", as well as The Marrow of a Bone. Here is one of my favs, just for those who don't know who they are. Saku

My Birthday.

Well today is my birthday. I'm a legal adult today. For those who don't know, that's 18 years of age. Well there is not much more to say about it I guess. I'm going to go shop for some stuff with my birthday money. The only "present" I received was my tattoo. It probably is my favorite present for my birthday, though.

I'm going to be spending all day in Duluth, MN. They have a few cool stores and it's not that far from here so I figured I might as well go. Honestly, there isn't much more to say. Oh and I am happy, despite the nonchalant mood of my blog. Peace.

There is so much pleasure in pain.

Oh yes, I'm so emo. I'm actually refering to my tattoo. I got it yesterday and I really like it. If anyone is curious how it feels... it hurts. It's basically how it sounds. It feels more like a solid cut, rather then constant jabbing. It was worth the pain, though. It's obviously still healing so It's a little red and irritated. Here it is though. Oh and I will be getting more. My Tattoo. Oh and btw, winter makes me white, along with my camera flash. I think it looks much better in person. Oh well. peace.
