I'm learning to play songs now on my (friend's) guitar and getting stoked at cos I can play them.

PS A hint: Today's my birthday

I think that hint's too obvious haha! I'm shameless, call me anything you want

Bumming out till 14th October

Half of the holidays's gone, I haven't been doing anything at all besides sitting on my arse eating, sleeping and s***ting(and occassionally playing the guitar). My brain's a little screwed, but I deserve it especially after I got my exam results. I passed every single subject!! XD So I'm going back to my sedentary lifestyle till school reopens.

PS got white stripes's Icky Thump. That's accompanying me for the remaining days of my holiday.

Marilyn Manson's vid-Heart-shaped glasses

Just watched it on youtube...it's kinda gross. The goth guy screws Rachel Evans Wood on camera and even brings her on a joyride with him. I don't know why, but I'm nursing a headache after watching that music vid. People with a blood fetish should watch it-it would probably overexcite them.

new stuff in school

Well, it isn't about the damned lab reports and everything. I'm actually learning how to play guitar and learning Japanese in school right now, which is about the only things keeping me sane right now. For instance, I'm doing my chemistry tutorial as I'm writing.-the joy of multitasking.

Yesterday was an absolutely horrible day-I had a lab report AND another formal report for the lecturer. I'm awash to my head in reports.I haven't slept well these past few days-I slept at 1.30 am trying to finish the paperwork.

Well I shan't be writing any more-got Japanese homework to do after this

Artist Review

The White Stripes Rock/Pop
"Current favorite"
The current album is a little bluesy and also a little country-ish, which is rather unusual for the White Stripes cos they play really loud garage-y music, but Jack White interprets them really well with the tracks Effect and Cause and Prickly Thorn, But Sweetly Worn. However, there is still the ocassional whimsical song, like Rag and Bone(possibly the cutest ditty on this album where the members banter with each other).
On the overall, it's a good album-the White Stripes haven't lost their touch yet. :)

Gnarly music with loads of electro elements-my fave track is look at what we have. But the vocals do need some high energy power as well..still it's a good effort!

Album Review

Black Holes and Revelations Muse
"Masterpiece"
This album is simply one I just can't stop playing in my CD player-Matt Bellamy exercises his vocal potential(and explores the Italian sounds) on their fourth studio release.Supermassive Black Hole is simply a delight to listen to,with its electronica-heavy metal sounds and his perfect falsettoes.Hoodoo sees Bellamy experimenting with Italian melodies and has a dark,dramatic-opera sounding vibe to it that crecendoes with angry piano keys and violins. On the whole, this is the best sounding Muse album so far.

Album Review

Franz Ferdinand Franz Ferdinand
"Masterpiece"
Their self-titled album is actually good stuff, because Alex Kapranos's voice really shows its potential on this album. It's filled with revenge, regret, naughtiness, sex and the academic stuff-actually not really...but I imagine this is one album college students would have.My favourites would have to be Jacqueline, This Fire, Michael,Tell Her Tonight and Take Me Out. This is one excellent debut that you have to check out right now.

"Turn it up!"
I really don't know where to start from.....they are freaking amazing to me, because their songs are hit after hit. It's a little late writing this review, but they haven't extinguished yet.
I like the songs-loads of them!-Do You Want To, This Boy, I'm Your Villian, Eleanor Put Your Boots On,...it's goddamn endless!! The tempo just doesn't go down on this album, which is a good thing, but thank goodness it's only 40-something minutes for the whole album or I would have collapsed from utter fatigue.
