Hip-Hop and Cartoons

For some of you out there, this might not come as a surprise. But, throughout the years, Hip-Hop has found itself mixed in with cartoons. The reason why I say this is because I feel as if Music plays a role in Cartoons as much as the artwork itself. It is what drives cartoons on. This is proven when watching Samurai Champloo. So for all of you who don't know, see it for yourself.

Pop music losing its touch?

Now I know what your thinking. Your thinking that i am trying to bash pop music. But its not like I want to insult you, its just that ever since hearing about what people have said about pop music being gay, I think they might true. You see, over the years, pop music was originally named Disco, which everyone knows. In the 70s, Disco was popular until 1989, groups like New Kids on the Block came in and everything changed. When I was watching a commercial about a biography on this group, I think I saw two band members dancing with each other, which I thought was sick steming from the fact that it reminded me of how it would be seeing Ellen on a BET program. Nowdays, people don't even like pop music ever since christian music has become more mainstream and Hip-Hop and Rock are starting to have new genres. Know I'm by no means bashing anyone, but I just want to tell you in the best way I know how. STAY AWAY FROM A STORE THAT SELLS BACKSTREET BOYS ALBUMS! Maybe that will be a way to save your sanity.

Comforter Compulsion
""
When I first heard of Compulsion, I was watching a video of Delivery( Basketcase in the U.K.) As I saw the video and heard the song, it was great. Hovever, this was the type of music that was mostly ignored in my country of the The United States and what a pity. Because Comforter is an example of what music should be. The song, Mall Monarchy, is one of the songs that makes you want to start a party and is one of the best songs on the album. The mellow anthem, Ariadne, is like going back into your first date and how it just didn't work out. The song in this album that really makes you want to mosh is, Air-Raid For The Neighbors. Because really when you think about it, the song is a concert on its own. I think that people should give this album a try and see how badly this album was overlooked.

Bad Brains Rock/Pop
""
In the 1980s, bands like Black Flag and Fear were making albums and songs that change the way we saw music. Bad Brains did exactly that. Melding reggae music with punk rock, Bad Brains made something that was rarely seen in the U.S. With their hip reggae sounds and their hardcore punk intensity, Bad Brains was inspired the punk rock spirit within us. Showing that somewhere in our hearts is a rebellious side waiting to be shown to everyone including newer punk rock fans. From all of the punk rock bands that I Have seen, I say there is no one is influential to me than Bad Brains.

Weezer Rock/Pop
""
Basically when I was listening to Weezer, I kinda thought that it was a little dry. But ever since listening to their songs, I really started getting hooked. You see, Weezer is the type of group which is not afraid to do something much different than the same metal-rap-thing. They actually make something that is fresh and despite being quite ancient to some new Emo fans, they actually do something that is quickly becoming a hit with all fans of music. Not like I'm saying that all people will like it, but I think that its better for the listener to hear the songs than just rush in and get their albums.

Candy Apple Grey Hüsker Dü

When you think about Husker Du, you think about a group that could even put the Mentors to shame. I mean come on, this album rocks. The sound of, Don't Want to Know if You Are Lonely is what really puts this album together. So if you are a Post-Punk fan, I dare you to check this out.
