I'm leaving the site

Well, after 147 days (303 including TVTome) and 2000 posts, I'm leaving this site, mainly for the reason that I think that I have spent too much time here. I might occasionally haunt the forums, and I will check my PMs, but that's all. If you're angry about this, just PM me as soon as possible, or comment here requesting a reassuring PM from yours truly.

There is good news. You can always reach me on AIM, and I will be sticking around until the end of the Survivor game and Amazing Race game. You can PM me anytime you want, and I'll give my guide to the 8th caller. And it would be great if one of you could mention this in an Off Topic thread.

Jmarsh89, logging out.

I know that there are a lot of people who think that they spend too much time on this website and will leave.

It was nice to meet you from TV.com Survivor s2, and you will be missed.

You could always do what I've done and not do so much here. Although I do think I'll be doing a post like that within TV.com's first year of life too.

Where ever you go, what ever you do - have fun.

very sorry to hear it. If you get a chance when you do log on, shoot me a hello.

That sucks, you will be missed. You were one of the last people to stick with me and keep control in TAR boards. At least you're sticking around for my game.

Best of luck!

If I can't convince you to stay, I guess I'll see you on Messenger.

Oh no. I've been here 462 days and have 5,246 posts(combined from TvT and tv.com). I think I've been here a good deal longer than I should have.

Seeya round!

Have fun offline.

WHAT THE... ?!!!

Okay, I understand the part about feeling that you've got a touch of OCD because you're on the site so much. Been there myself. I finally realized that I HAD to set a time limit on how much I would spend here. That's why my blogs have such odd "vacations" in them. I used up my allotment, and wait until the time rolls off.

I'm not saying that there isn't life outside of TV.com, but the life that IS here will be just a little bit darker without your participation.

That's two within the same week. I'm REALLY going to have to start advertising. How in the world am I supposed to increase my readership, if all the "fans" leave? Okay, not so much fans as much as masochists who've come to rely on my blog supplying their daily fix, but you know what I mean.

BTW
Personally, I think you need to post one final "Warped Beliefs" before you go. If you've gotta leave the limelight, you might as well go out with a bang.

Ah, Jmarsh. You are in the same boat I'm in man. I'm not going to try and convince you otherwise. I just wanted to say that you've been an immense presence here on the forums, and you will be missed.

No, you're not leaving! I will not let you! I will physically restrain you from leaving! I know where New York is, and I will willingly pay the tolls if it means I have to tie you up in front of your computer! I don't care how many rounds of water torture it takes, you're not leaving!

How about this: you leave for a week, or two weeks, or three weeks. Just some set period of time. Then you see how you're feeling. That's better than just quitting cold turkey, and you'll loosen your addiction that way.

Oh, Jmarsh89. I hardly knew ye.

We'll miss ya, buddy.

Oh wow! I'm sorry I didn't stop by sooner, but I was sick. I can't believe you're leaving. We had some good times here, and I hope you come back at some point. You will be missed.

You will be missed. I understand your reason for leaving. I spend way to much time here too.

I had similar thoughts a few weeks ago, I was spending way to much time here.

i've cut back on that time, so I'm not here as often.

You should try that before you leave altogether.

I think part of our obsession with the site(at least in the last month or 2, is the Survivor/TAR/Big brother games. Most of us have been involved in at least one of them in some way or another. and if you're like me, I still follow what's going on, even if I'm not in the game.

I Think after the 2nd season of each one wraps up, we should take a break from them, and go back to just discussing the shows.

Sorry to see you go J! I have not known u long at alll. Mostly the survivor game lol! Good luck!
Posted 10/26/2005 6:13pm
Sorry to see you go, JM. You have a sense of humor almost as warped as that of Eatcacti! I understand about the addiction. I also have been reducing my time here, as I get busier. I rarely spend much time in the forums, anymore. I'm still addicted to blog-hopping (blopping), though. I won't become editor of any show that is new, because the time commitment is excessive.

Oh Jack, join the club I'll be leaving the boards as soon as TAR game is done as well. I'll see offline though!

About Me

Website:
http://www.cia.gov/cia/publications/factbook/geos/uz.html
I am a 15-year-old born and raised in Manhattan. My 10 favorite shows are: 10. The Daily Show 9. Saturday Night Live 8. Malcolm in the Middle 7. The Simpsons 6. House 5. The Apprentice 4. The Amazing Race 3. Arrested Development 2. Blackadder 1. Fawlty Towers My favorite actors are: Rowan Atkinson, John Cleese, Hugh Laurie, anyone starring on Arrested Development, Miranda Richardson, Andrew Sachs, Robbie Coltrane, and Stephen Fry. My favorite musicians are: The Beatles, The Who, and U2. My favorite movies are: The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, The Incredibles, Shrek, Shrek 2, all 3 Wallace and Gromit movies, Mouse Hunt, Mean Girls, Bean, Love Actually, Johnny English, and, my favorite, A Fish Called Wanda. And now, some non-entertainment stuff about me: I am a Yankee fan who especially dislikes radical Republicanism and people who claim to be Red Sox fans, who not only became fans in last year's playoffs, but also believe that Pedro Martinez is still a member of the team. I also despise rap music and many of Fox's reality shows. I play baseball and football video games. I am liberal in many of my political beliefs. The sports I pay attention to are football and baseball. I am more of a baseball fan however, and I can name five members of every baseball team. In football, I am a New York Giants fan. Being a Yankee fan, it is really annoying when people say that they hate the Yankees because the spend money. They are rich because they are smart with their money, they want to win, their owner cares about his team, and because fans in the city go to their games. They are not greedy, they are good. Therefore, GO YANKEES! They're going all the way this year. P.S. I'm single ;)
