this is my first journal post. just thought i'd let you know.

well, i've been asked about the story of the movie Donnie Darko. I have attempted to explain it all here. well, her goes:

in the beginning, we meet Donnie Darko, a dark and disspirited teen who sleepwalks. in one of his dreams, he wanders off, and an airplane engine falls on his house, and into his room. after a little while, he starts seeing this rabbit person, with psychokinetic powers. the rabbit explains how to go back in time, but won't tell why(i think). later, Donnie meets his new neighbor, and falls in love. he eventually takes her to the movies to see Evil Dead 2, and that's when the famous line "Why are you wearing that stupid man suit?" comes in. then, Donnie and friends do a little investigating, and the rabbit from his time(his sister's boyfriend) runs over his girlfriend.Donnie's girlfriend gets run over by the rabbit dude, so Donnie shoots the rabbit. that's why the rabbit can go back in time. because Donnie doesn't want his girlfriend to die, he sends an airplain engine back in time to kill himself.
