Rez....in HD.....mmmm!

Well I hope everyone had a great christmas. I know I did this year. I am now the proud owner of a 80gb PS3. I also got Heavenly Sword, another Sixaxis controller, King of Fighters XI(PS2) and Fatal Fury: Battle Archives 1(PS2). I had a great Christmas day with my family. I spent a good chunk of the day playing Uncharted, which I rented. I love it so far but the gun play is kinda difficult. But I love everything about the game, the platforming parts are amazing. I haven't played too much Motorstorm yet but I do enjoy it so far. Heavenly Sword hasn't been played yet because I was playing so much Rockband yesterday. It was a gift for me and my little sister but I have played it more. I love drums but god are they hard to play. Oh if you want to add me on the Playstation Network my ID is: keiblerfan69.

Damn I look at my profile everyday and I never realize how long its been since I wrote a blog. My life has been quite hectic since that last post. I left my job at Smith's and now work for Gamecrazy in the same parking lot. I guess I should go in order with everything that has happened.

My Departure and a truck?

Well before I left Smiths I was saving all my money and I bought my self a truck.

2002 Dodge Dakota SXT

Mileage(on purchase date): 68,000 miles

Engine: 3.9L V6 4X4

Price: 5,800 dollars

This truck was a hell of a deal. The KBB value on it is 12,000 dollars. I got a 3 year loan from my bank for it. I was only one credit point away from getting the loan on my own so luckily my mom co-signed for me. Its a stick shift but I love it for that reason, off-roading is much easier when I can control what gear I am in. I just put new tires on it and I am planning to lift it and put some serious work into it.

Well now on to Smiths and why I left. I was suppose to get another promotion and go to a new store. I was going to be making 10.50 an hour and working with friends. Well they told me that and a month later it still hadn't happened. So I was getting tired of it and was working minimal amounts again. So I applied at the Gamecrazy in my parking lot. I applied on a Sunday, got a call back on Tuesday, had my interview Wed and was hired on Friday. So my last day at Smiths was Saturday. I went to work that day and told my boss, I got another job, I start tomorrow so today will be my last day. They didn't like that but I didn't care. So I started at Gamecrazy on 09/16/07 and I have been happy even since. Now I did take a pay cut to work there. I now make 7 dollars an hour but I get commission and I am getting a pay raise in January. If it isn't enough I am going to have to leave the job. But I have to do what I have to do to survive. I can barely live off of this income and I hate it.

The Future

Well I have finally decided that I do want to work in the game industry. So I have been looking into testing jobs here in Vegas. I am watching the Konami website for openings since they have a studio here. Also my best friends cousin is high up in THQ and I might be able to get a job through him.

Games

I play games more then anything else now. I get free rentals from Hollywood so I get to play a lot of good and bad games. I love Orange Box as many do, I am very excited to get Mass Effect and Rockband this week. Guitar Hero III is amazing but lacks that special feeling anymore. Halo 3 is just another Halo game and I regret buying it. But there many exciting games coming out, Devil May Cry 4, Mercenaries 2, Burnout Paradise and the weeks and weeks of new Rockband and GH tracks to play.

So I am very hopeful for the future but I really need to get rid of my damn credit card debt.

Yep I got a DS Lite for free. It was found at work about 2 weeks ago and put in lost and found. I waited awhile and asked if I could take it and I was told it was ok. So I went over to Gamecrazy last night and bought a charger and Pokemon Diamond. So far I love the game and I feel like a child again. I definately need to buy more games though.

Well I just paid off my credit card that I had run up over the last month. It was 384 which isn't much but it feels good to have it paid off. Everything has been kind of calm in my life lately. I work 40 hours a week and go out every night. My Camaro is running but I will be finishing up some more work on it this weekend.

Not too much on the game front. Just GH II with the friends. Music is kinda my life right now. I love the new HIM songs and the first single off of Serj Tankian's solo album titled "The Unthinking Majority." My ipod was fixed once but now it needs it again. This time the power won't come on. Damn Apple and there ipods. I really hope they release a new model soon.

Edit: And another thing, Disturbia is a damn great movie.
