New Game and more reviews (including Assassin's Creed 2 and Ocarina of Time)

How is everyone's 2010 going? It's been pretty boring around here, I've just been playing Left 4 Dead 2 and my new game (which I will get to in a minute) and messing with my labtop (typing on it right now ). Anyway, I've written a few reviews within the last month, check em out if you get the chance.

Assassin's Creed

I've actually owned AC for quite some time and have finally written a review for it. A decent action game but just fell a little short because of the repetitive missions.

Aegis Wing

Probably one of the better free games on the Arcade.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

After looking through my reviews, I was surprised to see that I have yet to write a review for a N64 game. So, my first review was for what I think to be as one of the best games ever made and one of the best the N64 has to offer.

Bomberman Hero

For my second N64 review, I chose Bomberman Hero, a good and perhaps one of the most underrated platformers ever made.

Assassin's Creed 2

My GOTY for 2009 deserved a review. An excellent action/adventure improving just about everything. Quite possibly my longest review ever too.

Left 4 Dead 2

Valve always delivers on some good FPS' and the Left 4 Dead games are no exception. I reviewed the first game a year ago so it was only right that I reviewed the sequel.

Well, that's it for the reviews. The other day, I got a game that I had my eye on for a while and it is a favrite among the 360 owners, Dead Rising.

http://image.com.com/gamespot/images/bigboxshots/6/928326_67383_front.jpg

Yeah, another zombie game right after Left 4 Dead 2.

Anyway, spite being one of the earlier games on the 360, this game still holds up pretty well. I mean, Capcom took a genre that has been done to death and made it new again. Using everything that you can get your hands on as weapon to fight the hundreds of zombies throughout the mall was such a neat idea. It's fun just running off on your own and killing everything in site. The only problem I have with this game is saving your game was quite frustrating at first but it's gotten a little better. Anyway, great game overall and I'll have to watch out for Dead Rising 2.

9/10

Art ... things?

Yeah, I'm trying to do some art around on devianart, but... mprh. I'm going on a blank. So, if you want, I can do the following things;

Requests (it might take longer though than others)
Art Trades (give me a reference pic first)
Collabs (I can take any kind of collab, but I like doing the sketchs rather than ink and color)

I AM busy on school days (who isn't?) so, drop me a line on deviantart (same thing, FrigginGodess) or here, and I can arrange some things.

Another one bites the dust!

First blog in over a month... It's too bad it had to be about this. I am sorry to hear of the death of the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, reportedly of a cardiac arrest at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medial Center at 2:26 PM. Although I was never a fan, I am sure that he will be sorely missed by all his fans, friends and family. He has inspired so many people, many of them are popular now, like Miley Cyrus for example... Rest in Peace MJ
August 29, 1958 - June 25, 2009

P.S. another actress, Farrah Fawcett, has died of cancer, just a few hours before the death of MJ. Her death has largely been overshadowed, but she sould still be remembered. RIP Farrah.

I honestly hate people.....

Like I predicted, my state ended up living up to its embarassing reputation and went w/ the republican party's choice. But Obama won making me happy and angring a bunch of extremely ignorant rednecks at the same time. I can't stand the bull that comes out of these people's mouths.... Its Unbelievable ! You'd think McCain was still campaigning, these people are so gulliable. They just refuse to give in to the idea that Obama has won. And the "make-believe loopholes " they were coming up w/ that might cause Obama to have to forfeit his persidency. Its actually made me so angry to the point that I began crying when I got home from work. I have never been so ashamed of this state as I am now. I feel terrible saying that, but its true...

oh. hello there

Hows it goin' bbz? ;D

gad, everytime I look back on my blogs I wonder if I was ever like that really. Shocking.

I quite miss the banter of this site. I used to spend hours on it talking to peeps. I do still miss everyone. Hm.

Allthough, I'm starting to grow up. I remember back then when I was like "AWK NEVER GROWIN UP BBZ (yn)" but now it's a little bit nescessary that I do. What with fifth year ahead of me (potentially deciding my future for me!) and my new found social life and access to cash among other things I'm starting to realise that not only is it necessary to grow up but I want to.

Enough of the emotional **** Back to the banter bizzle ;D

I like how I said I was nu-rave in my last blog. I'm not. I'm indie. At least I got that right I suppose. But I'm the ecclectic end of the indie spectrum not the girls-dressing-like-grannies end. I used to be but I realised how utterly hideous I looked. I wear the bright colours, the geek glecs, the cardies, the skinnies, the plimsoles and the eccentric t-shirts and have the indie barnet.

I still keep in touch with some people I met on here btw. But I miss some of the people I lost contact with. But things happen and people change.

Also, something that's different from when I used to come on here, I'm more mature, less argumentative, calmer and overall I'm happier. I used to be all emotional on here and only really the sad part of being emotional. Now I'm at a point in my life where I'm happy with the choices I've made that led me here and I actually feel emotionally secure and yeah, I'm happy with the way my life's heading at the moment. :]

So hit me up cats! I want some banter again!

To all of the Miley Cyrus fans out there!
We've been hearing a lot of news on Miley lately, mostly bad, and in response I always read or hear how she's not as bad as Lindsay, Britney, and the Olsens! Which is fine, but thats all I hear when people try to defend her! Now I still hate Lindsay and the Olsens, yet I'm starting to like Britney again, but I hate it when the fans insult other women to not only build Miley up, but build themselves up in the making! I don't mean to insult anyone in the proses or sound like a total hypocrite, but you're not only downplaying someone to make yourself feel better, but you are also judging these women at the same time! Then I hear about how Mandy is a bad influence on Miley! Miley is almost an adult now! She needs to learn how to think for herself and not get caught up in peer pressure! This isn't a thread fulling hating on Miley, or anyone else, I'm just tired of people treating her as if she did nothing wrong in the first place! The fact that you guys and the fans are treating her like a baby is giving her the mentality that she can get away with anything! Please don't get angry and/or deleted my blog because you can't handle me disagreeing with you, which shows great ignorance and intolerance on your side! Just tall me what you think!

Leaving

Yes, you read the title correctly.

  • I got my 22nd TOS violation today.
  • Angie has left.
  • I'm kind of bored around the site.
  • I have to focus on my life right now.
  • If I do get custody of the baby, I need to be there for it, not here.

If you'd like to stay in touch, visit my website (yugaton88.proboards88.com), or talk to me on AIM. I'd like to know some screen names, put them in a comment on this blog, or PM them to me. My screen name is sillyguy1996, stolen from my cousin, Jason.

I'll answer some questions about my leaving now.

NOTE: User crzza's AIM screen name is vtechfan55.

Vtechfan55 (8:36:46 PM): Your just leaving like that?-
I've been thinking about leaving for quite a while, actually. I've been missing some important things in life, and want to catch up.

Vtechfan55 (8:43:45 PM): So your just gone like that?-
Well, that's how most people leave the website. And I may be back for All Nighters of The Stinger Association, being a founder.

Vtechfan55 (8:42:58 PM): ARE YOU FOREVER?-
Very possibly, yes.

I hope we can all keep in touch, I'll miss you all.

Possibly for the last time...

Top Ten Movies of 2007

Yes I know, it's late, it's very late, but I wanted to wait until a certain choice of mine was out on DVD, and it did come out this week, so now I can finally make my list.

10. Superbad- A great coming of age story, and a great teen comedy. This could probably rank up there with some of my favorite teen comedy's like Revenge of the Nerds and Animal House. Another thing about this movie is that it's pretty realistic, except for the cops, but they're the best part of the movie, so who cares.

9. Zodiac- As soon as I heard the name David Fincher I knew this movie would be good. Great performances from Robert Downey Jr., Jake Gyllenhal, and Mark Ruffalo. It's based on a true story, and it features a first, a movie about a serial killer that doesn't focus on the serial killer, and there aren't even that many deaths in it, maybe the people who make Hostel and all those other so called torture porns, should take a lesson from this movie.

8. Hot Fuzz- Another movie where all I had to do was look at the cast and know this movie was good. After doing a parody on zombie movies, they decide to do a parody on action films and British police, and it worked great. It also preformed a miracle, it made one of the worst sequels, Bad Boys II, somewhat enjoyable. I may sound like a broken record, but maybe the people who made Date Movie, Epic Movie, and Meet The Spartans should see these movies, so they know what good parodies are instead of the utter crap they're producing.

7. Grindhouse- I loved almost everything about this movie, in fact it was the most fun I think I've ever had at the movies. These may be two movies, but they are two movies that are meant to be watched back to back, and while I think Planet Terror was a better movie then Death Proof, the best part was easily the fake trailers. If you missed your chance in seeing this in theatres, I pity you, because you missed on of the best movie going experiences ever. I will not buy these two movies sepretly on DVD, the only way I will buy Grindhouse is if, Planet Terror and Death Proof are on the same disc, with fake trailers in between them.

6. Ratatouille- There is no doubt that what ever Pixar makes is true greatness, the same goes for Ratatouille. While it isn't Pixar's best(That would have to go to the Toy Story series, or Monsters Inc), this is still a great film for the entire family to watch. It also had a good message that need to be put in a good movie. Although they put that message in Racing Stripes, but Racing Stripes equals EPIC FAIL

5. Sweeny Todd- One of the best musicals I've ever seen, also one of the bloodiest too. Who ever thought a musical about a barber, slitting people's throats would ever work as a movie, well Tim Burton did, and I'm glad he did. With a great cast giving an equally great performance, there is not much you can't love about this movie. My friend even memorized most of the songs in this movie.

We've reached a point in my list, where you can arrange these next four movies in any order you want, this is just the order I've chosen

4. Knocked Up- With Superbad coming out just two months after this movie, I think a lot of people forgot about this movie, but I didn't. I believe this movie is a lot better then Superbad, and while Superbad had some great performance and a lot of laughs, Knocked Up had better performances, and more laughs. Just like Superbad it was very realistic, and was probably the funniest movie to come out this year.

3. Charlie Wilson's War- Another story based off a true story. It shows how Afghanistan was once are allie and ho we help stopped the Russians from invading there land, it also shows how we start to lose them by the end of the movie. Tom Hanks gave a great performance, but Phillip Seymour Hoffman was easily the star of this movie, he really did get snubbed about the Oscars and should have won best supporting actor. I really liked the quote at the end of this movie by the real Charlie Wilson too.

2. 3:10 To Yuma- Here's another movie that got snubbed at the Oscars. Both Russel Crowe and Christian Bale gave some of there greatest performances in a true western movie. This was a remake too, and I think it's one of the best remakes to come out ever. This movie also deals with something important to me, honor, which I feel is too under appreciated these days.

I actually have two number ones, I had to include this one movie, so I'm just going to label it as 1.5

1.5. The Simpsons Movie- I am very bias with The Simpsons, I love everything about them. I even love the new seasons, even though deep down I know there not that good. However that's not the problem with The Simpsons Movie, all Simpsons fans should love this movie, and was like a throwback to the original seasons. I think people who don't even like the Simpsons will love this movie.

Now on to my real number 1 movie of 2007, and it's a movie you probably never heard of.

1. Ressurecting The Champ- What a great movie! It's about a reporter(Josh Harrnet) who discovers a homeless boxer named Bob Saterfield(Samuel L. Jackson), and he decides to write a article on him, since he was very popular, so now everyone can see what's happened to their favorite champ. Samuel L. Jackson voice may sound funny at first, but you get use to it and his acting surely makes up for it. Also it features something rare a great performance by Josh Harrnet. When this movie debuted in theatres, it finished at number 14 the week it debuted. I really wish more people could have saw this movie, but it was released on DVD this week, so go watch it now. PLEASE though, do you yourself a favor; DO NOT WATCH ANY TRAILERS OR READ ANY REVIEWS OR SYNOPSIS, EXCEPT FOR THE ONE ON THE BACK OF THE DVD COVER. There is a plot twist in the movie that caught me by surprise, and when I went home and watched the trailer for this movie and read the reviews, I saw that nearly everyone gave the twist away, so please do yourself a favor and find out what the twist is by watching this movie, not reading a review.

Last moments here.

I know I haven't been on at all but I just wanted to say my last goodbyes to everyone here, especially my friends here since this site has lost my interest. You guys were awesome and I had fun times with you, and some bad times. But me leaving still doesn't mean I've forgotten about you. If any of you have MSN Messenger: You can contact me at ohsnapfoo@hotmail.com. If you don't, you can just sent me an e-mail at my MSN account or at akogan@snet.net.

I've honestly would of left after reaching level 10 but I just don't have any fun energy left. So to all my friends and to anyone who's reading, goodbye and hope to hear from you soon.

People want me out
It's incredible what I do here. I'm being blamed for stuff I don't think I need to be treated.

Check tugsfan121's "About Me" section and comments in "The Cleanout" blog entry. Oh boy... and I saw the page on a CL thread that's against me....

We don't know to believe her
I don't If I should believe my little sis anymore she lies about things sometimes I don't know if she is related to us. Like today for instance she told us that a robber came to her school wrote on the flag eff school and wrote why do you go to school B#$%@?. She also said that the robber said 'Freeze Suckas" at the window and the school had to be locked down. Then she told me that the robber took all the valuble things in the 3rd grade last night! I don't know if I should believe her anymore she lies all the time. Everytime I say that she's wrong she gets all mad and hits me and says it's true. She is a difficult girl to live with

Fandom, does that word even MEAN anything on TV.com anymore!?

Man, I had no idea how many n00bs there really are out there! Now I wish had never found out. But with how many there are now-a-days, you find them without even trying. This place is really dissapointing me! Back then; from what I sawon the forums back when the true fans were still here; man this place was enjoyable for me tojust LOOK at the forum threads even though I was torturing myself knowing I couldn't obtain an account at that time! It was VERY worth it!
Now there are hardly any people that don't try to attack you just because you don't like their ideas or that oyu can have an itellectual conversation wiht on your favorite anymore around here! I'm GREATLY disaapointed by lot of your guy's behavior around here! I'm pretty sure a good majority of you people here are adults, but hardly any act there true age. I'm only 13 but I feel like I'm 20 by maturity, which can be very depressing to feel at times. Don't get me wrong, I like to goof off and act crazy and hyper every now and then, but there's not much point all of the spazzes on this website.

I'm not saying everyone here is a spaz, just there a lot of people who are and it's almost too many to count or to find this site enjoyable anymore. It's just an unpossbility from the looks of how everything is now. However, to be true, fair and honest I'm going to list the people are being sreious here and trying their best to make this webste a better place very everyone who dared to register an account here! There names are:
Super_Peter, ensanhcez 7587, KennyofHearts, tjechki, hot-choccy, MrSlinkman, passition, 1710. I know there are more than that, but that's all the time have left to list! I salute you people who can find hte dignity and choice of free will to be serious about the fandoms they truly love!
