Syracuse Orange Football

Well, this past weekend my beloved Syracuse Orange football team returned to play. Well the offense and defense both looked much improved from seasons past, they still ended up losing to a much weaker Minnesota team. What frustrates me is that the offense just couldn't find the energy to play in the second half after showing some really good flashes in the first half. Hopefully our new head coach Doug Marrone will be able to alter this issue in time for our first road game of the season against Penn State this weekend. However, going into this game as 29 point underdogs already gives me the feeling that we will be starting the season 0-2. Anyone else out there a fan of the Cuse, chime in on what you think the season will end up being like?

Finally...I'm a Red Shirt Lt.

After what seemed like years, I have finally jumped up to Level 11 and officially can call myself a Red Shirted Lt. I really wasn't active much over the past year which was bummer. However, I have stepped up my posting on forums over the last few months which has propelled me into this new level. I will continue to actively post as well as blog more often and possibly start submitting more material concerning shows and actors. This will hopefully propel me to even higher levels. Thanks for your time everyone.

It was a sad day.......

It was a sad day last week when ABC announced it would not be ordering additional episodes of Pushing Daisies, Eli Stone and Dirty Sexy Money. I knew they were not big in the ratings with the exception of Daisies but when ABC renewed them for a second season I hate great hope in networks once again. I know the writer's strike hurt these shows immensely but I believed they would prevail. But that was all a pipe dream and now I must start to pick and choose what new shows I get into carefully once again. I dreamed that networks would choose quality programming over ratings (like the CW and FX) but that is never going to happen. And the biggest quarrel I have is that so many questions go unanswered when the networks do this. Will Chuck and Ned ever be able to touch? Who killed Dutch? Will Eli and Maggie ever be together? These questions will burn in my mind for years to come with the exception of who killed Dutch because word is they will tell us in the final episode of DSM, but still it makes me want to scream. I am currently very much into ABCs new show Life on Mars but now with this major axe falling, I worry about a good show like that falling victim to the money hungry bosses at ABC. I will remain a devoted watcher to the final episodes of these shows and remain a fan for a longtime after, but networks need to seriously start thinking about the viewers that watch these shows no matter how many there are. Since did 3,000,000 million viewers become a small number. I don't even think I've met that many people in my 25 years of existence. I prolly won't even meet that many people in my lifetime, but I do know it's a lot of people and should warrent shows to stay on the air. Share with me what you think on this topic by leaving some comments. Til next post, goodbye.

Congrats Orange!

In case no one heard, yesterday, the Syracuse Orange men's lacrosse team won it's 10th lacrosse national championship, defeating John Hopkins 13-10. This was a great year the boys in Orange after missing out on the tournament last season. And it was a great send-off for senior Mike Leveille who was named the tourney MVP. So congrats Orange and I definately can't wait for next season!

Bubble Burst!

It saddens me to say that my hometown team, the Syracuse Orange were defeated today by the Villanova Wildcats in the opening game of the Big East Tournament. This pretty much defeats any chance of the Orange getting in the NCAA Tournament for the second year in a row and now we will have to probably settle for an NIT bid if that even happens. It just frustrates me when we have such a great team will so much potential, but like most teams, injuries really plagued us leading to lethargic play. So now I look forward to next season when we should be one of the most dominant teams in D1 play (as long as we stay healthy and players don't leave early). And I can also look forward to the remainder of the Syracuse lacrosse season which never really disappoints its fans. So on this sad day I would like to say here's to next season!
