Hello, and welcome to my blog. Recently, I've been working on something, something a little bit special. I've always been something of a writer, and something of a webdesigner. And so, I jumped at the chance of creating a roleplay website with my friend Jamil. What is roleplay I might hear you ask? Well, its effectivly a form of writing that allows you to share your experience with other people, and meet all sorts of like minded people. This new roleplay site is something of a special occasion for me, because the plot is loosly connected to other projects I am working. And so, if you have ever roleplayed before, please join my site. But also, if you have never roleplayed before, but would like to learn (Even if this is the 1st time you've heard about it) why not take a look, and perhaps join me and my fellow roleplayers. And so, without futher ado, and any futher guilding the lilly. I present, SurvivorZ. http://z10.invisionfree.com/SurvivorZ/index.php?
You know what really yanks my chain?
Lots of things, actually. But my big beef for 2009 is the number of neglected guides sitting under inactive editors. It seems that some people are keener on acquiring guides than they are on looking after them.
It's not a question of being MIA. Editors who simply stop visiting are eventually dismissed under the ReportMIAEditor protocol. Some editors are occasional visitors, not logging on often enough to meet their obligation to consider submissions within seven days, but often enough to avoid sanction. That means unseemly delays while we wait for the approval of submissions, but that's only really inconvenient when a show is currently airing.
Some editors, whether occasional or frequent visitors to the site, seem to have stopped submitting to guides they edit, often on the day they were awarded the editorship. That may be fair enough for guides to old shows that are substantially complete, but there are many guides to currently-airing or recently-ended shows that are in a very sorry state.
I do a lot of credit consolidation work and this prompts me to visit a number of guides each week. A surprising number of recently-added guides to recently-aired shows have no editors. Elsewhere, editors preside over guides to older shows that are no more than skeletons, despite the ready availability of the information needed to knock the guides into shape; guides to currently-airing shows that haven't had an episode guide added in months; plagiarised, mis-spelled and synopsis-free episode guides; guides for which no writer, director or cast have been added since the current editor took over. For good or ill, it has long been the case that the presence of an editor appears to act as a deterrent to potential contributors, many of whom apparently prefer to submit to editorless guides.
The activities of some editors has certainly put me off submitting to guides they edit. Those who reject valid submissions, post or approve plagiarised synopses, add episodes that don't meet the two out of three criterion, add "coming soon" summaries, add show stars but not guests, or just the odd guest, to episodes. I've been holding back from carrying out essential repair work on many of these guides in the hope that someday, TV.com staff would enforce the Problem Editor protocol. It seems that no amount of transgression merits any kind of sanction, however.
Happily, I've just completed the latest phase of work on guides that I edit. I've still to add some production credits to some, and to sort cast and crew lists for others, but I'm happy to let that duty take a back seat while I do grunt work on some of the neglected guides to British shows. Shows like... Can I mention them here? The editors in question know who they are, and which guides I mean. You'll see a lot more in the way of submissions from me from now. Enjoy!
I've been a bit slack on the spoiler front lately, haven't I? Time to mend my ways.

Glee - TV3 in Ireland are airing the first episode tomorrow night at 9.30pm and have been overdoing the promotions all week long so in over 24 hours I can see what the fuss is about. E4 are premiering it Monday 9pm from January 11th, according to DigitalSpy.
Brothers And Sisters - No UK date for Season 4 yet but recently Matthew Rhys directed the episode, Pregnant Pause and it seems that Rebecca's pregnancy is going ahead. Cheryl Hines is also appearing as Kitty's friend, Buffy. No, that's what they're calling her.
True Blood - Pam's going all sapphic on us in the third season as Kristen Bauer is finally made a regular. Denis O'Hare has been cast as King Of Mississippi vampire, Russell Edgington with Theo Alexander cast as his lover, Talbot. Marshall Allman will be Sam's long lost brother and the first two episodes of the third season are called Pack Of Wolves and Beautifully Broken. The character of Crystal Norris will debut in the second one.Grant Bowler is also playing werewolf biker, Coot.
Dexter - FXUK are airing the fourth season in May but it looks like we're going to have some interesting times ahead, especially as two characters married in secret in the most recent US episode.
Desperate Housewives - There's a plane, an episode where Susan does a strip tease, more on the Bolens and Jane Leeves being cast as a therapist for Tom Scavo. Season 6 doesn't sound that exciting so far if I'm being candid.
Lost - Season 6 cast shot were released this week, so have a look ... http://thetvaddict.com/2009/12/10/this-just-in-your-first-look-at-losts-season-6-promotional-photos/
Ashes To Ashes - The third season is nearly finished filming and it looks like a certain Life On Mars may return according to series creator Matthew Graham.Daniel Mays will also be playing a vital role in the final season, based in 1983.
The Impressions Show - Brief Review
Anne Robinson: "Well who gets a black eye if he runs down the stairs and he's not wearing a sports bra?"
Simon Cowell: "Ouch that hurt, not the insult, just looking at your face."
You can't exactly move for the amount of impressions shows that are out there and like many, there's a hit and miss quality. Ridiculously shunted to a Saturday 9pm timeslot, Jon Culshaw's latest outing is interesting indeed.
Teaming up with Debra Stephenson (Bad Girls, Corrie), The Impression Show sees the duo spoofing pretty much every easy target known to the British public. In the space of five weeks we've seen Colleen Rooney treat Wayne literally like a dog, Davina McCall and Claudia Winkleman gush over hideous dresses, Cheryl Cole's footballer's wife take on Cinderella, Gene Hunt's audition for Doctor Who and my personal favourite, Simon Cowell vs. Anne Robinson. Sports bras and chimp descendents indeed.
The show won't win points for originality and some of the sketches themselves have done much funnier on the likes of Dead Ringers (the Alan Sugar ones for example) but Culshaw and Stephenson have a wonderful rapport and for the more part, the jokes are genuinely funny, plus Stephenson's resemblance to Davina is a little unnerving.

Buffy - Who Is Twilight?
![]()
Why it's Barack Obama of course, except not. This is a spoof cover but the identity behind Season 8's foe will be revealed in Issue 33 at long last. Issue 31 due for January release is called Turbulence while Issues 32-35 are called Twilight and will finally give the much needed answers on this guy's identity.
In other news, the comics are set to become webisodes, which I hope for Joss Whedon's sake fare better than Dollhouse did.
Doctor Who - Dreamland
Weirdish animation but better than The Infinity Quest.
- Cassie and Jimmy were decent stand in companions. Georgia Moffett is definitely keeping her involvement with this franchise.
- Azlok made for an okay villain, though the Viperox's motives were too breathtakingly original.
- Some of the series music worked, some didn't.
- The alien couple looked really stereotypically alien, didn't they?
Review for this story is up here and Blogspot. The End Of Time Part 1 airs Christmas Day on BBC1 at 6pm.
Merlin - 2x10/2x11: Sweet Dreams/The Witch's Quickening
The season is hitting it's stride and these were an interesting mix.
- Georgia Moffett played the spoilt Vivian pretty well. The end scene with her was funny. Still under the spell.
- Arthur and Gwen's snog was a long time coming. Break the rules, prove Gwen wrong.
- Morgana helping Alvarr and Mordred and her open contempt for Uther, love it.
- The preview for the next episode revealed a welcome return.
The Fires Of Idirsholas airs tomorrow at 6pm on BBC1. The show has been renewed for a third season. Isn't that brilliant?
True Blood - 2x03/2x04: Scratches/Shake And Fingerpop

Losing further objectivity. This show is getting insanely brilliant.
- Sookie got attacked by a creature that has to be linked to Maryann.
- Jessica and Hoyt are sweet. Unsure of Tara/Eggs or Sam/Daphne.
- Love the Dallas antics and Lafayette tasting Eric's blood.
- Maryann's orgies are getting out of hand. And Jason needs to get away from Steve and Sarah Newlin.
Review for both episodes are up here and Blogspot. I'll catch up with Never Let Me Go and Hard-Hearted Hannah soon. Season 2 premieres on FXUK from February 2010.

"Each man reads his own meaning into New York" - Meyer Berger
Well this is strange - i think it may nearly be a year or more since I last blogged on TV.com. It is so long that I am certain I have fallen into the void on this site.
Well I am creeping back through the black hole and staring into the light to say hello to the world!
Although not really on here I turned more into a lucker peering at tv shows checking the odd blog etc. I don't quite know why I walked away from it for a while I think everything changed so much on this site, it felt very strange.
Anyway.....
I need a little bit of help. I am going to the great City of New York in November believe me I can't wait -its a very surreal feeling at the moment - but wondering if anyone could give me any info on places they have been to etc? Also is anyone familiar with the Empire hotel? whats its like?
I couldn't go without a funny:
The School Answering Machine
This is hilarious - no wonder some people were offended!
This is the message that the Maroochydore High School Queensland, staff voted unanimously to record on their school telephone answering machine.
This is the actual answering machine message for the school.
This came about because they implemented a policy requiring students and parents to be responsible for their children's absences and missing homework.
The school and teachers are being sued by parents who want their children's failing grades changed to passing grades - even though those children were absent 15-30 times during the semester and did not complete enough school work to pass their Cl@ss.
The outgoing message:
Hello! You have reached the automated answering service of your school. In order to assist you in connecting to the right staff member, please listen to all the options before making a selection:
To lie about why your child is absent - Press 1
To make excuses for why your child did not do his work - Press 2
To complain about what we do - Press 3
To swear at staff members - Press 4
To ask why you didn't get information that was already enclosed in your newsletter and several flyers mailed to you - Press 5
If you want us to raise your child - Press 6
If you want to reach out and touch, slap or hit someone - Press 7
To request another teacher, for the third time this year - Press 8
To complain about bus transportation - Press 9
To complain about school lunches - Press 0
If you realize this is the real world and your child must be accountable and responsible for his/her own behaviour, cl@sswork, homework and that it's not the teachers' fault for your child's lack of effort: Hang up and have a nice day!
If you want this in another language, move to a country that speaks it.
Take Care peoples! x

I can't eat but I'm drinking water like a camel, so I can't rest for more than three minutes before needing to piss, and I'm stuffed to the brim with drugs. And my bed's on the opposite side of the house to the wireless box, so the connection keeps cutting out and it's taken me ages just to post this blog.
Blech.... I'm such a moany tit.
PS Heroesfan07 takes it in the ear and she has aids.

So, for those of you not watching it, the main threat is someone has a device that can hack the government firewall. Whoopy Do! All that means is that they can route packets of data past the firewall and into the private network behind. It does NOT mean they can log on to any of the systems behind it, they would need valid userids and passwords (no mention of those having been acquired) and even if they did, it is work of minutes to suspend the compromised userIDs, which in the days of Sarbaines Oxley auditing requirements they'd be able to spot from the audit.
But to me the real kicker is, it will take them hours to rewrite the firewall, yep probably true, but it takes one second to unplug the network cable that connnects the private network to the outside world. All critical systems will be designed to be able to run on their own network without any external data feeds for a while, and the sort of systems they are talking about are classic cases. Air Traffic control would have it's own private resilient network for critical data since it is too vital to rely on internet. The external connection will only be for things like feeds to civilian services (such as real time flight info on the web), all critical communication would be via a private network.
So for that sake of my sanity just pull the plugs and go after the terrorists without this unrealistic threat!!!
I have to say the latest 24 is rather typical of "Hollywood IT". They like to drop in mysterious terms like Ports, Packets and Servers, and even Mainframe (and then show you a Unix box). But then when they show you displays they have BIG FLASHING GRAPHICS for unauthorised access and user interface things that have NEVER existed in the real world. Do they think the whole world is full of IT morons. IT on TV today is a bit like driving a car in a movie in the 50s, you know perpetual swinging of the wheel from left to right. Anyone that's ever been in a car knows that's not right, so why the hell did directors, who presumably have driven, put it in movies - the same goes for IT - just stop it!!!
I will pretty much no longer be using this site AT ALL, with perhaps the small exception of a review or blog post. One of my problems may be due to the people in my friends list. I don't feel as though I've ever had a proper friendship with any of them, at least none that actually use their accounts anymore. In the past I've added people as friends, then when I send PMs to them, asking them questions, they never even reply. Seriously, what is the point of even adding someone if they refuse to talk to you?
Also, my opinions on things have matured greatly ever since I've been gone, as have my tastes. When I feel like it, I will eventually get around to deleting a majority of my blog entries. A lot of them differ from my current opinions and interests, whilst some others are just plain pointless.
If for what ever reason you want to PM me about something, feel free. However, don't expect a quick reply. You may have to wait for up to three months, or more.
As the title suggests, I'm back on tv.com! How exciting. I guess my best excuse for being MIA for so long is that... I forgot? That's not a very good excuse, is it? I'll think of a better one and keep you posted.
So what happened during my absence... I think the majority of my life was taken up by lots and lots and lots of exams - not fun. But it's okay because they're over now and I didn't do too badly in them but most importantly - completing them meant I graduated school
. So I'm done with school forever and ever and ever. Yay!
Christmas and New Years were pretty rad as well, spent with family and friends, as they should be. Following tradition, here are my resolutions...
- Get a job (I'm going to try for the Body Shop, because it would be so awesome to work somewhere that smells that good, or Cotton On, because I already own half their shop so I may as well get paid for it)
- Get my drivers license (look out, roads of Australia!)
- Buy flowers whenever I have some spare cash
- Learn to play guitar
- Drink more so I can be bold more often (this is the joke one... sort of)
I have decided: 2009 will be awesome. Spread the word. And tv.com will be awesome too, because I'm back (obviously hahaha
)

Hey guys. I know it's been a very long time (is this how I always start my blogs now?), but I thought that the fact I'm in the TV.com Spotlight this week is reason enough to do it.
I'm actually posting this from Movietome - for some reason I'm unable to access TV.com or Gamespot today. This has happened a lot recently - being able to visit the site one day, and then not for the next couple of days. It's no big problem as long as I get through my submissions.
So for that reason, I'm not certain I'm in the spotlight, but I've been assured by Islander it's true! I guess I should say thanks to the "random" choosing machine that selected me...
Um, also I'd like to make (another) apology for being absent from forums and blogs. Obviously with limited access and none of my favourite shows on at the moment, I've not really been around. Still, two of my shows will be back soon, so I'll be on here a lot more. ![]()
TV-wise, there's not much on at the moment. What I've caught of The Sarah Jane Adventures has been quite good - I missed the finale on Monday (that is, if they did show it on the CBBC channel), but it'll be repeated this Monday. It was nice to see the return of Ms. Wormwood, the Sontarans, and of course, the Brigadier in the first part.

Desperate Housewives is quite good, as well. Setting the fifth series five years in the future wasn't a bad move as it's allowed the introduction of a lot of new situations. Dave (Edie's husband) is really mystifying, and can I ask - am I the only one who seems to be uninterested in all of Susan's storylines? I'm not at all bothered about her and Jackson.
As mentioned, two of my shows are returning early next year - Primeval and, of course, Waterloo Road. I don't know much about the third series of Primeval, but there's been a Waterloo Road press release for the first episode of Series Four (which airs on January 7th). For those who care (anyone?), both Rachel and Davina (one who was crushed by a collapsed roof, and the other who had smoke inhalation) were said to have died, but it turned out neither have! That's really good news, especially with Davina, who is one of my favourites. And it'll be the first time one of Tom's girlfriends hasn't died! Both Lorna and Izzie died in the second series...

Um, Richard would never forgive me for not using my new-found spotlight fame to advertise our animation, Doreen and Maureen. After we finished the first series, I promised there would be a further series, however, we agreed only to do one final episode, which we released a couple of weeks ago. It's called "Black Wedding", and whilst it may not make complete sense if you've not seen the other episodes, it's still pretty funny. It continues from the cliffhanger at the end of "Emo Grunts", and has some nice twists. Check it out here (and definitely watch after the credits):
http://www.freewebs.com/doreen-and-maureen2/finalepisode.htm/
I think that's about it for today. I hope you guys are all okay, and I'll try to keep this up a little more regularly.
(Can't see my TV.com level or percentage...is it Level 32 or 33...? And it's around 58%, right? I don't know, I'm just guessing...)
i havent been on here in like a year and a half... i feel bad that i havent been on... ive just been preoccupied and well i got addicted to other websites... well what has happened since ive been gone!
-had a bf, lost a bf, got a new phone (if u want my number just ask!), im bff again with my old bff from 6th grade... anything else was just dumb i guess... oh and i work at A&W. lol and i got super obsessed with the twilight saga. i own all four books!
Due to this wonderful "new look" that TV.com insists we wanted my Queue does not work. At first I couldn't reject submissions, now I can't accept them either.
I still have to access messages from MovieTome or MP3. The ones I do get are sometimes "Phantom messages" to boot.
So please until further notice, please, no more submissions. Which totally sucks because the the 10th Season Premire of SVU is Tuesday.
Who know when the staff/tech will have thing back to what passes for "normal" and I can sort through all of your pending submissions.
I'm trying to be patient but it's been three days now.
HELLO!!!!
Remember me? I've been MIA for a while and thought that I'd pop up again and let you know what's been up
I moved from SoCal to Chicago for school and love it so far, only met one Doctor Who fan so far, and I think that my Doctor obsession paired with my Dr. Strangelove poster is what has lead him to propose... 3 times
Other than that still working in theater, as always, don't have cable in my room yet, but there's a guy on my floor who is a cable guy, so he's going to fix that up for me and my roommates, just in time for Heroes!!!
So I'm going to be a girl right now and talk about another one of my favorite shows
GREEK
You don't have to like it because it really not that good but I love it. Last night i used the wonder of the internet to watch the latest episode and it changed the show for me.
See, I WAS a big Casey/Cappie shipper when the show started, and then they had to introduce Max, the adorably smart, sweet, painfully shy R, and gave him and Casey a oh-to-cute moment at the end of the show that had me saying to myself 'I don't care! He can be a meth dealing Sociopath and I will still ship them to the ends of the earth'
Did I mention he's insanely attractive and watches Doctor Who?
Other than that, I'm going to see Kevin Divine tomorrow night, and am slowly getting sucked into Sons of Anarchy
LOVELLUS!!!(I've missed typing that!)
Matilda
