--- So Whatever you celebrate - I wish all the a Happy Festivity and the Best of luck for everything in the New Year!!
Afternoon people! More snow in December - everybody now 'I'm dreaming of a whiiite Christmas'... ![]()
The past few days we've been receiving our earliest snow fall in a very long time. It's the first time I can remember it coming in December and as it's still going on, there's a good chance it'll actually be snowing on Christmas Day! It doesn't seem to have hit quite as hard as last year as my trips to work haven't been delayed as much as last time. Annoyingly though, most of the roads haven't been gritted despite the fact that now is forecast for almost everyday for about a week. More so than ever do I wish I had a new car. Just having a few more features would help clear the snow much quicker like heated wing mirrors and generally a heated anything else. The rear windscreen has a built in heater and that clears snow as quick as anything. The main thing I've had trouble with is not having remote locking. My locks haven't been quite right in a long time although perfectly workable. The frost has frozen the locks many times already so it's either a case of waiting for it to defrost or use the passenger door which is slightly easier.
In more Christmassy news, this week they announced the Christmas No.1 which was 'Killing In The Name' by Rage Against The Machine. The story behind the fairly old song is an interesting one... Every year, the X Factor (UK's current version of American Idol) winner has gotten the number one spot for the past few years, just based on popularity because the show had ended just a week or so beforehand. This year a lot of people started a petition to stop Simon Cowell's of the coveted top spot. At one point over the past few weeks, every artist in and around the top 10 had some connection to the show - whether it be ex-participants, someone who performed on the show, or part or Simon's record label. I'm not entirely sure why that particular song was chosen considering its pretty old and not very festive.
The Facebook campaign gained a lot of followers and despite it wasn't available in CD form (like the winner's song is), it still managed to topple Cowell although it's a bit of a backhanded win seeing as Rage is part of Cowell's record label. Either way Cowell's a winner so it was a stupid song to choose. I do kinda feel bad for Joe McElderry but he was the best of a bad bunch on this year's show and similar artists to him who already have good careers would never dream of the Christmas No. 1spot so why should he get it just because he's riding the X Factor storm?
In gaming, I spent the weekend starting and completing Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. It's been a long time since I played a Star Wars game, the last being The Phantom Menace on the PS1 I would think. It's been long overdue although there haven't really been that many games based on the franchise that have been worth playing. The story is a refreshing take on Star Wars as you play as the Dark Side fighting the Jedi. It feels a bit wrong when you kill a Jedi but with all the cool powers the Dark Side have, that is soon forgotten. The graphics are pretty good for the most part although there was a couple of areas where the background didn't load and one major case, where I had to reload a section because the massive gate to go through didn't load. It also didn't bring up the health bar of a couple of bosses but that was forgiven.
The difficulty was very hit and miss. I decided to play on medium as that seemed challenging enough. I was able to stay on that until the final few levels where it became so frustrating due to the sheer number of enemies on screen that lowering the difficulty was the only way to stop myself throwing the controller. One redeeming quality is the sheer brilliance of the storyline and cutscenes. It really does feel like a mini episode of Star Wars. At times it actually seems better than The Clone Wars cartoon series that is currently airing.
The DLC for the game is the first proper opportunity to play additional missions. Somehow in the past I've never really played games with actual missions added on, normally it's just maps or new characters. Seeing the price of the two DLCs, I was immediately put off. One mission for 6.80 is extortionate! For the two missions that's 13.60 and I only paid 7.00 for the full game with 9 missions. After reading some reviews online it seems the general consensus is that whilst the new missions are quite good, they aren't worthy of the high price tag.
On tv.com, one of my friends got addicted to Marble Madness on my iPhone and got to about level 75. I got bored the other day and played a bit more and found there were only 81 levels in total anyway. To my surprise, on completion of the game I came across my first advert for an app that wasn't just screen filler within a game, but a full screen advert that was only viewable once the game was completed. Trust, me this is actually relevant to this section.
The app in question was tv.com's which actually made it out to be really good. After speaking to jekyll about it seems to be pretty poor. I had a hunch seeing as the app is a US only download that it would be video related and jekyll confirmed that. I'd hoped that it would be guide related, but like the real site they don't seem to keen on promoting it that aspect...
As for TV, I've watched:
Misfits 'Episode 6'. A pretty disappointing end to the season but with another one already commissioned I'm hoping it'll build on this season a lot more. Unfortunately it's a UK show so only got a 6 episode season which isn't long enough. The powers are very unusual which is great - it's just a shame the only episode that focused on a single power was time travel. It was one of the best takes on time travel I've ever seen though so I can forgive that.
Ghost Whisperer 'Lost in the Shadows' and 'Excessive Forces'. After watching another two episodes, I realised my brain just melts away when watching it. What used to be a pretty grown up show has evolved into one with a 5 year old who's almost the main character, and a storyline involving 'Shinys' and 'Shadows'. Hello - I'm not a 10 year old who would normally watch this in cartoon form...
Fringe 'Grey Matters'. I think it's finally reached the stage where it's on my good list. No bad episodes in a while now and Olivia isn't always the centre of attention. The streamlined cast has definitely been a plus for this season as well.
Scrubs 'Our Histories'.
After Glee's happy face on my last blog, this signals the end of my favourite Scrubs character. It was great to see a couple more familiar faces...however brief. Oh, and the new theme music? I think I like it.
The Mentalist 'Throwing Fire'. I was actually quite bored during this episode. After improving to a point where it was the best alternative cop show but the last couple have seen it go the other way.
Gary Unmarried 'Gary Is A Boat Guy'. I think at the halfway point, the cast for this season is the best yet. It's the third arrangement of secondary characters they've had and none of the previous have worked too well. Now though, the show has got plenty going for it and as long as it keeps being funny there's no reason it won't get a third season.
Good - Fringe 'Grey Matters', It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia 'The Gang Reignites the Rivalry', The Big Bang Theory 'The Maternal Congruence', Scrubs 'Our Histories', Fringe 'Grey Matters', Gary Unmarried 'Gary Is A Boat Guy', Better Off Ted 'The Lawyer, The Lemur and the Little Listener', Dollhouse 'Stop-Loss'.
Indifferent - Family Guy 'Business Guy', Accidentally on Purpose 'It Happened One Christmas', Criminal Minds 'The Slave of Duty', Sanctuary 'Sleepers'.
Bad - Misfits 'Episode 6', The Mentalist 'Throwing Fire', The New Adventures of Old Christine 'It's Beginning to Stink a Lot Like Christmas', Ghost Whisperer 'Lost in the Shadows' and 'Excessive Forces', American Dad 'Rapture's Delight'.
My album for the day is Animal by Ke$ha.
My shuffle song for the day is 'Angel' by Matt Nathanson.
My thing to ponder for today is: Why do people say beans beans the magical fruit when beans are vegetables?
Sigh, okay apparently that entire group is exchanging this blog and now people who haven't even read it are asking to get their name out of it because someone told them they were mentioned and the stupid site won't let me put it back on private, so just you guys can read it
And I find it crazy that everyone is so in love with Stijn at the moment while a few months ago it was exactly the opposite... He was the crazy and annoying stalkerguy that just had to give it up and even Jonito was sooo tired of it and he and everyone else was telling me not to feel bad about how he acted and to simply ignore it like they did... But now it just seems like everyone agrees that Stijn is the perfect boyfriend and it doesn't matter how he got to be that again cause obviously it was meant to be... How quickly things change...
And okay, the trashing was... bad
and Sijn never did that but then again no one ever did to him what he did to me either...And I still think he did subtly trash me whenever he had a chance and still does that... For instance by saying that what I'm doing now is stupid (so what if he's right, it's still mean!) and that it's my fault Jonito saw his friends less or didn't do as much active arty-stuff, I never held him back! I was in Rome, at work or studying during most of the vacation except most evenings so he could see his friends at any time he wanted...
Okay, gotta get back to my papers now because I've got loads of work to do and actually a lot of parties lately
... Hopefully these settings are changed now, it's weird, cause ex-blogs are sometimes unadapted one second and adapted the other :s
X's and O's
Good evening you all.
It's been awhile. A whole fifteen days. That's awhile. In those fifteen days I have managed to write one hundred and thirty-two blogs on my other blog. I am crazy on that thing. There are some days where I don't blog at all and then other days where I spent an hour writing entry after entry about whateverness comes into my head. I had a meltdown last Sunday I think. Or Monday. Either way. I think I wrote like 50 blogs about and I am barely exaggeratiing.
*Sidenote. I am watching Zoey 101 right now. And Abby from One Tree Hill is on it. You know the girl with diabetes in 316.*
Last blog. Obsessiver texting guy. Gone. Now dating Katie's other cousin who he met the same night as me. He backed off after Katie and Dylan told him to. And then he started dating Becca and they are "in love." They are old enough to be way past that falling in love after two seconds phase. Kat and Kaia. Still being lame. I talk to Kat but not really Kaia. They make me mad. There was a big long a$$ paragraph about me and Henry and our lacking of being friends. We have hung out twice this past week and talked quite a bit. It's like old old old times. He is even back to joking about us getting married. So that's all good.
Lately. I have finals coming up. And as always I am procrastinating. Tonight I am writing my paper. I am. I am. I am. I am. And then hiding out in the library tomorrow and doing chem. And some geography. I am. I have to.
Yesterday I was at my sister's basketball game and one of the mom's was talking to me and found out that I go to my school and she points to Treena and was like her brother goes there. I was like I know. Treena is Henry's sister. And she just started talking like crazy at me about how nice he is and all this stuff and obviously didn't understand when I said I know. I know him. Hahah. It was funny.
TV. One Tree Hill is good. Good. Good. I really like it. Even though it's not really One Tree Hill anymore. Gossip Girl makes me mad. I hate Serena. Vampire Diaries, needs to be on. I can't wait for Glee this week. I fall more and more in love with Puck every episode. And I can't think about anything else.

the levels are working (again) apparently as I've gained a new level, woohoo! If there were more info to submit to some of my guides as well as another actor guide I'm trying to get I'd probably level up faster. LOL.
have been around some, checking up on my guides 'n the forums but not very active, 2009 is a sad year for me because the week before Thanksgiving I had to put my precious kitty Cleo down --IDK what she had, couldn't afford to get her fix nor bare her anymore pain 'n suffering she was going through-- I'm getting teary eyed just thinking about her now, thanksgiving wasn't the same without her and now Christmas, new years & beyond will not be the same without my precious kitty.

I miss her more then baseball! :'(
I haven't really wrote much of anything of importance for a long time here, so, I thought I would write a little something.
Don't really come to TV.com a lot anymore. Well, since the redesign, cause it's terrible and I perfer the old layout, I still have active guides, I try to keep them updated regularly, but it's harder than it used to be. I try to update them weekly, I'm trying to get where I can do it daily. Maybe with my new schedule I have laid out, I'll be able to do that. I'm hoping that I can, but not crossing any fingers.
Now this has always been an entertainment blog, I never really delved into my personal life, because well, it's personal and who really cares? I'm hoping that you read this to escape and maybe have a couple of chuckles, or to maybe think how stupid I am, or even self-centered I am. Any of the three are fine by me.
I'm going to throw out some topics and give some short responses. Hence then name of the blog, "Random Shots."
Sports:
-Baseball: F*ck the Yankees, f*ck the Yankees, f*ck the Yankees. That also goes for the Dodgers as well. Go Cardinals.
-Football: I am no longer a St. Louis Rams fans, cause they really suck. So, I sprained my hamstring jumping on the Jets bandwagon and now they suck. So, I'm just simply a football fan now. Go NFL!
Basketball: Until St. Louis gets a basketball team I could really care less about basketball. Until then, just tell me when the playoffs start.
Television:
It's a wasteland of complete garbage, except for the shows I'm the editor for, they're epic shows that should be watched by all.
I've only recently started watching Mad Men and it's really good, I'm working my way slowly through the series and I'm liking what I'm seeing so far.
Television is so bad, I'm actually working my way through old shows I've never seen. Recently it was The Office, the good one, from England, not the American one, that has a retard as the boss. After I get done with Mad Men, I'll be moving on to Fawlty Towers, which I've always wanted to see and now I have it and really excited about it.
Movies:
There's only one movie I want to talk about. It's The Hangover. What a piece of garbage that was. People were raving about how funny it was. Clearly, I must have seen some different movie than everyone else, because that sh*t wasn't funny. Not one bit of it was. Could someone please explain waht was so funny about it? And if you say Mike Tyson, I'll eat your children.
Music:
Taylor Swift. Taylor Swift. Taylor Swift. Taylor Swift. Swastika. Taylor Swift. Taylor Swift. Huh?
That's all I hear about music, I've never heard any of her songs, it's country music, so I avoid it at all costs. I might like her music if I give it a shot, since I like those girly songs, but I'm dragging my feet on that one. Everybody does have a line, ya know.
Other than that, music is in the same place that television is at, in the dumpster.
Video Games:
Modern Warfare 2 came out this week and EVERYBODY, EVERYBODY on my friends list is playing that. I wish I got it, not the game but the concept. I just don't like shooter games, because I become target practice for the mediocre players and that just takes all the fun out of it for me, so what's the use? It has to be fun, since everyone is playing it. I just suck at those games.
One game like that, I may get soon, is Left 4 Dead, it seems like an awesome game and it has zombies in it. I'm a sucker for zombies. So, Left 4 Dead soon, yeah, a year after it came out...I'm really on the ball on video games.
Now to the video games that takes up all my time...Rock Band 2. I play it all the time. As I stated previously on here, I'm addicted to those games. Since the last time we talked, I've beaten them all on expert (sans Guitar Hero Metallica and Smash Hits). Not a big Guitar Hero fan anymore, but I'm not blatant Rock Band fan boy either. After all, I do use a Guitar Hero controller.
My playing skills vary. I'm good on most songs, except for heavy metal. I eat my b*lls on those, on guitar, but when I play bass, I'm pretty damn good. Decent on guitar and I'm killer on bass. I'm awesome on bass. Recently started playing drums for those games and I'm getting it down, not that great, but not horrible.
One music game that recently came out was The Beatles: Rock Band. Being a dirty -expletive deleted- for both the Beatles and Rock Band, I had to get this on release day. And yes, while it was awesome, it quickly runs out of steam. Sometimes I pop the disk in to play Octopus's Garden or Here Comes the Sun, but then I want to move back to Rock Band and play China Cat Sunflower or Blue Sky. It's a great game, but it has a very little replay value, and this is coming from a die hard Beatles fan.
That's all I'm writing. You figure out the two songs that title are comprised of and I'll give you a cookie.
Until next time (year)...
Parks and Recreation is the closest show to my life, because there is a city planner. The episode Ron and Tammy stars real life husband (Nick Offerman) and wife (Megan Mullaly) as ex-husband and ex-wife in a struggle for the pit now a lot.
The last line of the show is..."You know the worst thing about her?" "She works for the library." I agree, I live in Indiana and have not have good relations with the library personally, professionally, or in conjunction with the non-profit I work with. CDs/DVDs not being in their cases, needing to do a favor so pillow talk is not about how the library director is mad at me, or not having the correct number in our incorporation papers, there is always a problem.
Hello, tv.com.
It has been too long, hasn't it?
What is everyone up to? I have been sick for a week, but slowly getting better.
Anyway, I wanted to do another blog, it has been forever.
I'll do another list, which is what I love doing most.
My 35 favorite shows on tv.(as in, shows that haven't ended yet)
How many of these are you watching?
35. Damages
I have never liked this show as much as the average critic.
But it is a great show that I still need to catch up on. Eventually, but it isn't a show that I NEED to see.
34. Being Human
One of the few British shows that I have ever truly liked.
What is taking Season 2 so long?
33. Hung
Still need to catch up on this show, but is it good? Absolutely.
Humor is very awkward, which doesn't appeal to everyone, but it does to me.
32. Family Guy
Haven't watched this one in a while, but it is a great show for when you are bored.
31. Medium
Haven't bothered watching the new Season yet.
Quite frankly, it is a great show but it is time to end it already.
30. The Tudors
Pretty much the guilty-pleasure version of 'Rome'.
Is it worth watching? For sure, if not just for it's sexiness and great outfits.
29. Man Vs. Wild
Gotten a little tired of this one, but Bear Grylls never gets boring.
28. 30 Rock
A little too American, but I certainly understand the hype.
Best comedic cast on tv, for sure.
27. The Simpsons
This show never gets old. 21 Seasons old? Damn.
26. Nurse Jackie
One of the best new shows of the year, Edie Falco blows me away with her great performance.
25. Weeds
The humor on this show is getting worse, whilst the drama is only getting better.
It is being dragged on longer than it should have, but it is still worth watching.
24. Rescue Me
This show is like a roller coaster ride, it has big highs and big lows and little in-betweens.
But the occasional great performances and unique story makes it unforgettable.
23. Nip/Tuck
Pretty much the exact same thing as Rescue Me.
But season six, which will be the series' last, is proving to be as dark and as memorable as the first three seasons so far.
22. South Park
A show that has gotten a bit too old, but is it still entertaining? You betcha.
21. Skins
Too high on the list? Pretty much.
But when the show is good, it is pretty heartbreaking.
20. Survivor
In it's 19th Season, and still going on strong.
The only reality show that I would recommend to anyone.
19. Epitafios
I am probably the only person here that will ever watch this show.
It airs on Latin HBO, which means that it is all in Spanish. Pretty awesome.
18. The Office
Behind on this one, mainly because I do not like it as much as during it's first three seasons.
But it is still one of the best comedies on tv.
17. Entourage
I am not yet caught up with this one, but I have been watching episodes here and there and loving it more the more I watch it.
16. In Treatment
I am still not finished with it's first Season.
Why? I do not know. Honestly, I loved what I saw of it. Excellent show.
15. Lost
The show has changed so much, and I don't think that it's as smart or nearly as touching as it used to be.
It actually feels like just another action-y show instead of a powerful, supernatural drama.
Hopefully Season 6 gives it the right send off.
14. Robot Chicken
One of the best ways to kill time.
It can be hit-or-miss-y, but for the most part, it is pure unconditional entertainment.
13. True Blood
What is not fun about this show? It has sex, gore, supernatural people, and decent writing and performances.
The best guilty pleasure on tv. period.
12. Party Down
Probably overrating this show that almost nobody has ever even heard of.
But I love it. I love the characters, the cast, the GUEST STARS(!!!), the humor. It is one of those shows you just simply love.
11. Bored To Death
If I would ever write a comedy, it would be something like this.
Just extremely dry, and probably lame. It's hilarious and akward, I love it.
10. Friday Night Lights
Season 4 is starting all over again, half the cast is gone and the show is just better than ever.
09. It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia
Currently going through it's worst Season yet, but it could still recover.
The people on this show are horrible low-lives, what's not to love?
08. Modern Family
Still very fresh and new, but already loving this one.
The cast is superb, with the likes of Ed O'Neill and Ty Burrell.
It has two Colombian characters and the dialog is sharp and histerical. One of the best comedies in a long time.
07. The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency
My favorite new show that aired this year.
So far, still has not been renewed or cancelled. Hopefully it does get a second season, because it was a true African gem.
06. Big Love
This show has only been getting better and better.
It has gotten better than I ever though it could get. Gut-wrecking and occasionally hilarious.
05. Flight Of The Choncords
The world needs more Folk, I demand it!
As of now, whether Season 3 will happen is still unsure. HBO wants them back, but the Conchords are not convinced yet.
Here's hoping they do at least one more season.
04. The Venture Bros.
Best. Animated show. Ever. Period.
I love everything about this show. It is epic, freaking histerical, has one of the best voice-acting, excellent set of characters, and a better written and less confusing mythology than Lost.
03. Breaking Bad
Bryan Cranston really carries this show, his performance reminds me of the Deadwood cast, it is that good.
The show is very thrilling without being cheap, you never know what will happen next.
02. Dexter
Season 4 is doing what I didn't think was going to be possible.
It is making me love and fear this show even more. This Season's villain, The Trinity Killer, is almost as freaky as Twin Peak's Bob.
What a great ride this show has been.
01. Mad Men
What can I say about the show that hasn't been said already?
It is a work of art, every single frame is. I can just pause any episode and still be amazed by what I see.
I love that about this show. There is a group of people that will never get what I mean, but if you are into art, you should be able to understand.
One tree hill is missing 2 many people. I miss Lucas and Peyton. They need 2 put Mia and Chace in more episodes, cause I miss them.
Gossip Girl is having one of the best seasons yet. Can't wait 4 Lady Gaga 2 b on.
Homecoming dance on Saturday can't wait.
So, it was just Halloween. I ate lots of candy and had some fun, so all was good.
I decided to carve some pumpkins for Halloween, so I went off to Curtis Orchard, the world's most magical copyright infringement-filled adventure, an apple orchard and pumpkin patch that use without license a bunch of Wizard of Oz names and characters to theme their place, right down to the "Flying Monkey Cafe". I found two decent pumpkins (all the perfect ones were long gone, but I got a good couple) and brought them home to start carving.

I also wanted to carve a Peacekeeper symbol (from Farscape) jack-o-lantern and a Stargate logo jack-o-lantern, but ultimately I settled on a Dollhouse logo one and a Christmas Turtle one! There's always next year for the others.
Here's my Dollhouse one: (the U turned out kinda funky)

And lit...

-
-
And here's my Christmas Turtle jack-o-lantern! ![]()

And here it is lit...

How cool is that? ![]()
And then there was my costume. I wasn't going out anywhere, so instead of putting together a whole real costume I just wanted something quick and simple as all hell for fun. So, I took an idea from TV.com's list of last-minute TV-inspired Halloween costumes (minus their bashing of Dollhouse which was so annoying) and threw on some pajamas to become: an Active, from Dollhouse!
What do you think?

And here I am as an Active with my Dollhouse jack-o-lantern.

So, that all was pretty cool.
And then I was supposed to have a friend over for an alien movie marathon, but she got sick at the last minute and had to cancel. So, I got my Buffy DVDs and had myself a little marathon of the Halloween episodes and spooky episodes. Not bad for Halloween. ![]()
I hope everyone else had a great Halloween too!
It seems I have a new video up. This is really just convenient timing. ![]()
Anyway, it's a Firefly video and the song has a few naughty words so be aware of that. The song is an old rap song that's been turned on its ear. I love when they do that.
Lots of TV program premieres about to give it their all
and many "happy returns" (old favorites on the come-back trail)
THIS WEEK!
WHATCHUBEEWATCHIN'?
For one particular show, which gets changed by it's network all the time, I don't take submissions ahead of the air date. If I did, I WOULD FILL THEM IN MYSELF! So if I, who have the same information everyone else does, won't pre-fill in the episodes until they air, I'm not going to take your submissions before they air.
So to all the submitters, the rule is, wait until it airs. If I beat you to it, well, I am the editor of the guide. Remember, the form says: "Date airED"!
I'd like to know what other senior editor's policies are concerning premature submissions.
Why do I only want to blog when I have no time to do it? That has to be one of life's most challenging questions.
Watch Dollhouse when it premieres at the end of September! Unfortunately it will have significantly less Amy Acker, but awesome Adelle should make up for that.
Mumbo jumbo.
And...goodbye!
Thing is this, I had this month off at work and everything to study for my last exam which will be next Friday (yes it's crazy to have an exam right before the new semester works. I hate the people who come up which such crappy schedules). It's not like in the US or so where you have all exams in two weeks - here they get spread over the whole summer...
I have quite a few problems with the topic and I worry about the exam on Friday...
Due to my work position I was able to get the final release of Windows 7 and install it on my notebook. It certainly is interesting and it looks like so much that Vista couldn't do is now solved in this version. And it indeed uses way less resources. I like that. So far I only have it on my notebook not yet on my desktop because I plan to replace that one with a high end system once again. However I'm not yet sure if I shall spend so much money on a new PC or not.
What I also plan to buy is a new mobile phone and the first of which I think can compete with the iPhone. Check it out here. Don't get me wrong, I grew up with an Apple, I am an Apple user (although use PCs as well), I just don't like the iPhone much. For me that's just an iPod with phone function. That phone promises some nice stuff.
In other tech stuff, I turned my back on Fedora OS, since they don't appear to be able to get an installer working for me on any of my computers. OpenSUSE crashes once I upgrade to KDE 4.3 - so I ended up with KUbuntu. It took me a heck of a long time to get the PXE server configured to get it working. No wonder when there are typos in the example code on their Wiki page.
It certainly was a strange summer for me here. I worked full time for two months, had several though exams, some I passed, one I didn't. As I wrote above, I did a lot this months - and one thing sticks out - no holidays.
Now in mid-September semester starts again. As I still have the urge to get away, even if only for a couple of days, I have organized a few trips now (as finally I could find people who have time to come along). Only (long) weekend trips, but still. For starters I plan to go to the IAA, Europe's biggest car show. That will be mid-September. By the end of the month, I'll be traveling to Amsterdam to have some fun there. And then by the end of October my annual London trip is up again. And more surely will come around to keep me busy till Christmas.
Here on the site the only staff member that really appeared to care is gone and a new one came and was lost in the dark hole aka the nowhere. We at least got the back to episode link back after cast submissions, but now we no longer can import cast.
It's obvious that somebody is constantly working on the site, as minor things change quite often. Still the lack of communication of staff with the users and the failure of keeping promises (new cast form announced by danmod, as example) is just taken to the extreme.
In June I was in the team that built a new website for the place I work for. Before we went live, we tested for one week and could proudly say that we didn't encounter any major bugs, because we caught them. What is happening here is just ridiculous. Here people forget to add simple tags or decide to switch meta tags for no reason which mess with the site. I don't get it.
What surprises me most is how long this site has survived so far.
I think that's all for today. Thanks for reading and take care!
I'm all moved into my dorm and c!asses begin tomorrow. 2 semesters left and hopefully I'm finished with college. I am so ready to graduate. Of course I have no idea what I want to do once I graduate. I'm taking 5 c!asses this semester. 2 Anthropology c!asses (1 is an archeology c!ass), a personal finance c!ass, a sociology c!ass, and TV and Culture. This semester I'm hoping to get a college ring.
Overe the summer I did nothing but recovery from laser corrective eye surgery. I had PRK which is different from Lasik. PRK can take up to 6 months for your eyes to heal. I had the surgery done a month ago. I've worn glasses since I was about 7 years old. I'm 22 now. When I was first considering getting the surgery done, the eye doctor said I might have to wait until I was 25. I'm so glad I was able to get it done sooner. My eyesight was in the 650 range. Now I'm at 20/25. It's amazing what technology can do. I was pretty blind without my glasses. Now I wake up and I can see everything. It's so amazing to be able to see. The only problems I have are at night sometimes I see halo around lights and if I spend too much time on the computer or watching TV too much my vision goes a little blurry. So I have to make sure I don't spend too much time on my laptop befor c!asses start. That way I can see the board and take notes.
It's weird.
I don't know why I'm blogging about it.
But I miss when I was active in TV.com.
Like, a new blog each week, a few probably.
A couple of editorships every week or fortnight
Tracking people, haven't done that in ages.
Being apart of a few forums.
Commenting on people's blogs.
And, the most important one, knowing a lot of the more active people on here.
Now, I only know a few people.
It kinda sucks to not be as involved in the site like I used to be

Anyone else want to be more active in the site again?
