I bought this 30 GB ipod video , and it works great. It might not be as small and light weight as the nano but it has great quality. The sound is excellent, as well as the screen. You don't have to worry about having too many songs on there because you can put up to 7500 songs which is amazing!!! I totally reccomend this as your first mp3 player. Never make the mistake by returning it for a nano just because the nano is smaller. Trust me you will want to keep this product forever. Plus, think of it as your portable tv if you will when you are on the go.

i don't sugest you buy this because the sound quality is not as good but i love the screen. thats the only thing that i liked about it. i have one now but i really want my ipod back really badly. i regret returning it.
