It's been a while since I have been able to blog....computer problems....health problems.....the place I used to work at went out of business.....well I'm better now, have a new computer, and a brand new job working for a pretty darn good company. I thought I might as well start my blog back up because I have been watching plenty of movies over the last couple of months. I just watched a pretty good movie last night I haven't seen since I was a young kid and it just happened to be the debut of my next pick out of my top 100 favorite actors/actresses of all time.

Adam Baldwin

Born February 27, 1962 in Chicago, Illinois he graduated from the prestigious New Trier Township High School. Shortly after graduating her found his first starring role in one of my favorite movies from my childhood My Bodyguard {1980}. He starred as a troubled teen, Ricky Linderman, who stood up for kids being picked on at school.

Later in his career he starred as the ever popular Animal Mother in the excellent film Full Metal Jacket {1987}. Adam is able to pull off the tough guy roll with ease and can be a real slime without being hated. He also starred in various roles in Independence Day {1996}, The Poseidon Adventure {2005}, Radio Flyer {1992}, and From the Earth to the Moon {1998}.

He has been very active in the television market with various fan favorite roles on The X-Files as Knowle Rohrer and my personal favorite as Jayne Cobb on the all too short series Firefly in which he won the 2006 Best Supporting Actor/Television in from the SyFy Genre Awards.

He is now starring as NSA Agent John Casey on the television show Chuck. He also was a voice actor on the Xbox 360 game Halo 3 as a Marine and he shouts several phrases from the show Firefly such as "Have a taste of Vera!".

If you would like to learn a little more about this actor visit his profile at http://www.tv.com/ or http://www.imdb.com/.

Unfortunately my computer at home has crashed....only 2 ½ years old and I spent a pretty penny on it through Alienware. I won't be getting a new computer for about a month so my countdown of favorite actors may suffer a bit. Anyhow I have decided to add an actress that I just haven't seen much work from lately but love her work non-the-less. Her work covers anything you can think of from a superhero to a hottie in a music video.
Alicia Silverstone -

Alicia Silverstone was born on October 4, 1976 in San Francisco California. She is the youngest of three children and began modeling at the age of six. She starred in various television commercials and was eventually cast as Jessica the "dream girl" on an episode of The Wonder Years.

The first leading role she landed was for the movie The Crush {1993} in which she played a very young teenaged girl who harasses an older man that spurned her advances. She won two 1994 MTV Movie awards for that performance including Best Breakthrough Performance and Best Villain.

She was then cast for three Aerosmith music videos "Cryin", "Amazing", and "Crazy" that were really successful in promoting her career at that time. It eventually lead her to her next role in the movie Clueless {1995}. She was really busy this year also starring in the movies The Babysitter, Hideaway, and New World.

Her next big role was starring as the ever popular Batgirl in the movie Batman & Robin {1997}. I wasn't a huge fan of this movie but to put it bluntly I hated it and unfortunately the only good thing about it was Silverstone in a latex suit (if that gives you any idea how much I hated the movie).

One of my favorite roles she was in was the movie Blast From The Past {1999} with Brendan Fraser. I thought this movie would lead to bigger and better roles for Alicia but for the next few years she played minor roles in movies and had her own short lived television show called Miss Match {2003}.

In her personal life Alicia is known for her work as an animal welfare and environmental activist. She has even appeared in the nude for PETA advertisements (her ad is still on the PETA website). She supports animals right so far that she even became a vegan. If you would like to learn more about this actress check out her personal profiles on http://www.tv.com/ and http://www.imdb.com/.

I thought I needed one last blog before the blackout tomorrow and thought of a pretty hardcore actor that I really like that would be suitable for the day.
Michael Chiklis

Michael Charles Chiklis was born on August 30, 1963 in Lowell, Massachusetts. He started acting at thirteen when he became a member of the Actor's Equity Association and appeared in several regional theater productions. He received a Bachelor of Fine Arts through the Boston University College of Fine Arts.

Chiklis states he lost hair in his early 20s due to a role he had as a bald man in the play You Can't Take It With You. He played a 65 year old man and had to shave his head before every performance and used greasepaint instead of powder. This supposedly killed his hair follicles and was very traumatic for him as an actor.

His first major role came as the lead in the family friendly police drama The Commish which ran on ABC from 1991 to 1995. His character, Anthony J. Scali, was laid back, friendly and an easy going cop (very unlike his current character).

After spending six months on a very extensive workout regimen and shaving his head he auditioned for The Shield looking nothing like the chubby cop from he previous show. He quickly won over the lead role as the hardcore detective Vic Mackey. This role, in my opinion, has been the greatest so far in his career. He has won numerous awards for this role including 2002 Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor In A Drama Series and a 2002 Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series-Drama.

He has since had several roles in major motion pictures such as the English dubbed version of Spirited Away {2001} and both of the Fantastic Four movies {2005 & 2007} as the Thing. Since they decided away from going fully CGI on the Thing I can't think of a better person to star as Ben Grimm.

If you would like to learn more about this actor please check out his profile pages on both http://www.tv.com/ and http://www.imdb.com/.

I have been reviewing the last couple people on my list and I'm pretty happy of who I have listed so far. I think I'm going to stick with the whole boy - girl -boy - girl setup I have so far. I have decided to list an actress that maybe a little lesser known to some but still, in my opinion, is pretty talented.
Kristen Stewart

Kristen Jaymes Stewart was born on April 9, 1990 in Los Angeles, California. FOr a younger actress she has really kept herself busy. Her first role was a nonspeaking part in The Thirteenth Year {1999} a Disney Channel movie. She then moved on to a small part in the movie The Safety of Objects {2001} which I really liked. She followed those roles up with a couple of movies that created positive remarks in Panic Room {2002} with Jodie Foster and Cold Creek Manor {2003} as the daughter of Dennis Quaid and Sharon Stone's character.

Kristen's first starring role came in the movie Catch That Kid {2004} about a 12-year old girl who breaks into a high-tech security bank to steal $250,000 needed for a life-saving operation that her father needs. Her most notable movie yet, according to the critics, was her role as a thirteen year old rape victim in the television film Speak {2004}. I have read some reviews on this film and they were all pretty positive.

My personal favorite movie I have seen her in to date is the film Zathura {2005} which my youngest daughter watches at least once a week. She plays the young rebellious teenage girl almost too well. Unfortunately she was "frozen" most of the movie so she didn't get much screen time. If you are unfamiliar with this actress start with this movie.

Another pretty good role she has done was the movie The Messengers {2007}. A pretty creepy movie that she carries pretty much by herself, in my opinion. The movie I'm really looking forward to is the upcoming film Twilight which should be released in November of this year. The movie is based off the book series Twilight and is about vampires. She plays the character Bella Swan who falls for Edward Cullen who just happens to be a vampire. I'm so excited about this movie because I thought the book was just great. She seems that she would be perfect for the movie.

The next person on my list is an actor that I'm really fond of. He brings that "special" something to the table with all of his roles. He's a guy who can play a tough seasoned cop or a beat down hubby living on the memories of past High School football glory. He is the man, the myth, the legend.........
Ed O'Neill

Edward "Ed" O'Neill was born on April 12, 1946 in Youngstown, Ohio. He went to college at Ohio University and Younstown State University. In 1969 he was signed as an outside linebacker with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He never got to play in a regular season game because he was released after the preseason was over. He got his start in acting on stage with various productions such as "Lakeboat" and "A Streetcar Named Desire".

Ed pretty much had a quiet career playing several minor support roles in the movies Deliverance {1972}, Police Academy {1984], and Braker {1985} until he got his big break on the small screen.

In 1987 Ed landed his most beloved role as Al Bundy the head of the dysfunctional Bundy clan in the television show Married.... With Children. His character is doomed to failure working out his days as a lowly shoe salesman after getting his High School girlfriend pregnant, marrying her, and breaking his leg (effectively loosing his College scholarship). He continues to talk about his glory days in High School when he ran for four touchdowns in a single game. It loosely resembles his real life where he made it to the NFL but never established himself.

During his run on Married.... With Children he also starred in several more movies. He played short cameos in the movie Wayne's World {1992} and it's sequel. He starred as a cop {the first of many cop roles} in the movie Disorganized Crime {1989} which starred Lou Diamond Philips and Fred Gwynne.

My favorite movie of this time period has to be Dutch {1991}. I watch this movie every Thanksgiving for as long as I can remember. He plays a blue collared man who decides to bring home his girlfriend's stuck up child from boarding school for Thanksgiving. There travels don't really go according to plans but in the end it all works out.

Married..... With Children ended it run in 1997 after 11 seasons making it the longest sitcom to run on the Fox network. After this run Ed picked up other roles most notably as Joe Friday on the remake of Dragnet in 2003. Unfortunately the series lasted only two seasons with a total of 22 episodes before it was cancelled.

A fun little piece of information I never knew about him before this was that he has been studying Jujitsu with the Gracie family for over 10 years and is a blackbelt. If you would like to learn more about this actor go to these websites http://www.tv.com/ and http://www.imdb.com/.

This next actress I have picked for my list is as talented as she is beautiful. She has been in many different movies and played a wide array of roles.
Halle Berry

Halle Marie Berry was born on August 14, 1966 in Cleveland, Ohio. She was named after Halle's Department Store which is a local landmark where she was born. After High School she entered several beauty contests winning Miss Teen All-American in 1985, first runner-up for Miss USA in 1986, and sixth place in Miss World 1986.

Finally in 1989 Halle landed a role in the Who's the Boss spin-off called Living Dolls. The series was short lived and she went on to have a recurring role in Knots Landing before she had her breakthrough role in Jungle Fever {1991}. This role opened up many new opportunities for her and she went on to star in Boomerang {1992} and the live-action movie of The Flintstones {1994}.

Her next role was a film I like called Losing Isaiah {1995}. She plays a drug addict who leaves her baby in a trash can so she can get her next fix. She eventually cleans herself up and fights to win back her child in court. A pretty interesting race concious movie. She won an Emmy and a Golden Globe for her portrayal of Dorothy Dandridge in Introducing Dorothy Dandridge {1999}.

I'm a huge comic book nerd so I was so excited when she was signed on to play the mutant superhero Storm in the movie X-Men {2000} and the two following sequels. I think she played the part really well and had the look needed for the character.

One of my favorite movies she was in was Monster's Ball {2001}. This role landed her an Academy Award for Best Actress that year which happened to be the first one given to an African-American actress. If you haven't seen this movie and you like Halle you need to go watch it now.

She followed that up a couple years later with the movie Catwoman {2004}. A role I was very interested in at first but after I saw it I was very disappointed. She reportedly made $12.5 million for the role and the picture had an overall cost of about $100 million but only took in about $17 million the first weekend and eventually making about $82 million in revenue. This film is considered by many to be one of the worst movies she has made to date.

She has had a pretty prolific career so far and I look forward to seeing more of her movies in the future. If you would like to learn more about this actress you can go to these websites - http://www.tv.com/ and http://www.imdb.com/.

It's another Monday morning and work has been very slow so I have decided to do another on my list of favorite actors. This next actor is one I really admire and wonder why he hasn't been in a lot more movies and television shows. He definitely has the skills to be a great actor and has proved so in several of his roles.
Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje

Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje was born August 22, 1967 in Islington, London, England. His parents immigrated from Nigeria to England before he was born. The meaning of his name, when broken down, is the following: Ade- the crown, wale- has come home, Akin- warrior, nuoye- of chieftaincy, Agbaje- prosperity and wealth. Adewale is a very educated person and holds a Master of Laws from King's College London and is fluent in several languages, including English, Swahili, Yorùbá, and Italian.

His beginning in the acting world started small parts in video's for Dawn Penn {No, No, No} and the Pet Shop Boys {Jealousy}. His first big screen role was in the movie Congo {1995} and later that same year Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls. I remember his from the movie Congo because he has some really intense eyes.

He later went on to play some really popular roles on television shows including Oz and Lost. In Oz he played the criminal Simon Adebisi who was the leader of a black gang named the Homeboys. His character was feared by most of the inmates due to him being portrayed as one of the most fierce and powerful people there. This character turned out to be a very popular one on the show. I have yet to see him in the film but I have ordered the first season of Oz and I'm looking forward to watching it.

In the television show Lost Adewale played the character Mr. Eko. The character Mr. Eko, for me, was one of the most interesting on the show. In interviews Adewale states he often spent the entire day in character just to grasp the intensity of Mr. Eko. He quickly became my favorite character of the series and I was sad to see him written off. He left on his own terms because he asked to be released from the show after both of his parents died.

Adewale has also starred some really successful movies including The Mummy Returns as Lock-Nah and The Bourne Identity as the deposed leader Nykwana Wombosi. Even though they were supporting roles in both films he did a very good job.

I am really looking forward to his latest film G.I. Joe which should be released sometime in 2009. In this movie he plays another one of my favorite characters from the series Heavy Duty. So far the movie looks like it will be pretty good.

I have decided to add another pick this week since I haven't been very busy. There are several good movies I have watched lately and several actors and actresses I have ready to add to my list. It took me a while but I finally decided on
Gwyneth Paltrow

Gwyneth Kate Paltrow was born September 27, 1972 in Los Angeles, California, a daughter of film and television director Bruce Paltrow and actress Blythe Danner. She made her professional stage debut in 1990 and landed small motion picture roles the next year in Hook {1991} and Shout {1991}.

Her first breakout role was in a movie Se7en {1995}, that I'm a huge fan of, with Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman. Due to the film's popularity it gave her a lot of positive exposure. She followed it up the next year with the movie Emma {1996} which earn her some really positive reviews.

One of my favorite movies she has been in is Shakespeare in Love {1998} with Joseph Fiennes. I enjoy her Enlish accent and think she really nailed the role. Her performance was so well liked that she won the Academy Award for Best Actress that year. She has been able to keep a low profile personal life while dating high profile men such as Brad Pitt, Ben Affleck, and Luke Wilson to name a few. In 2003 she married Chris Martin from the rock group Coldplay and they had their first child Apple Blythe Alison Martin who's godfather is none other than Simon Pegg (who will also see a place on my list).

In my personal opinion she has gone on to star in some pretty good films during this time including Shallow Hal {2001}, Austin Powers in Goldmember, and one of my guilty pleasures View from the Top {2003}. There have also been some disappointments for me as well including Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow {2004} and Hush {1998}. She has many more movies I am looking forward to seeing for the first time such as Duets {2000}, Sylvia {2003}, and Bounce {2000}.

She most recently plays Virginia "Pepper" Potts in the Iron Man movie that came out this summer and I felt that she did a good job. It was good enough for her to be signed on for the sequel which comes out in 2010 which I really am looking forward to.

If you would like to learn more about this actress please check out her bio on http://www.tv.com/ and http://www.imdb.com/.

In my quest to list my 100 favorite actors I decided to list the person that isn't you typical looking Hollywood star. He has the skills to play many different people with some of them being disturbingly strange.
Philip Seymour Hoffman

He was born in Fairport, New York on July 23, 1967 to a family court judge and a former Xerox executive. In his first acting role he played Radar O'Reily in his High School's production of MASH in 1982. After attending college and receiving his BFA {Bachelor of Fine Arts} from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in 1989 he went on to eventually star in his first role on Law & Order in 1991.

He was really busy in 1992 having a role in four feature films including Szuler, My New Gun, Leap of Faith, and as a pretty dirty roommate in Scent of a Woman. At this time in his life he was stocking shelves at a grocery in the city. After this busy year he never looked back and his career took off.

One of my favorite movies that he was in is Boogie Nights {1997} where he played a set hand for a porn production company. He pulled off the creepy guy who lusted after Mark Wahlberg's character almost too well.

He continued on to play some really unforgettable characters in the movies Cold Mountain, Mission Impossible III, and another favorite of mine in Along Came Polly as a once been actor Sandy Lyle. He proves with these roles he is able to play a wide range of characters that not many actors can pull off. I am still tickled whenever I here him saying that he just "sharted" in Along Came Polly.

His most notable role came in the film Capote {2005} which was a biographical portrayal of writer Truman Capote. His performance in this film landed him various awards including a Golden Globe for Best Actor, the Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Actor, and the Academy Award for Best Actor. I have yet to see this film myself but I have heard it was pretty good. He is also an accomplished stage actor with True West and Long Day's Journey into Night to his credit.

Since that role he hasn't let up looking for quality roles. He recently starred as a CIA officer, Gust Avrakotos, who helps Congressman Charlie Wilson support a covert war in Afghanistan in the movie Charlie Wilson's War {2007}. His future schedule looks pretty good as well. I am looking forward to his upcoming film The Boat That Rocked that should be released sometime in 2009.

Even though I have a hundred actors I can choose for my list it is becoming increasingly hard to narrow it down each week. Every time I start on someone I want to list another ten pop in my head. After much thought I decided to pick another younger female actor and just had to have this actress on my list.
Jessica Biel

Jessica Claire Biel was born March 3, 1982 in Ely, Minnesota. She moved around a lot when she was younger but she calls Boulder, Colorado home. When she was 12 she was discovered by an agency when she attended The International Modeling and Talent Association Conference in Los Angeles. She initially did modeling work in print ads and also did commercials for various products including Pringles and Deluxe Paint. She got her first big break when she was cast as the oldest daughter on a show called 7th Heaven when she was 14. Her first feature film Ulee's Gold {1997}was released the following year. She went on to star in various roles in movies such as I'll Be Home for Christmas {1998} with Jonathan Taylor Thomas and Summer Catch {2001}with Freddy Prinze Jr.

Unhappy with the effect her role was having on her career she wanted out of her contract with 7th Heaven. She says she lost the role in American Beauty because her image was too wholesome. She decided to do a photo shoot with Gear magazine and appear semi-nude even though she was underage. Apparently this angered some of her fans (not me) and the producers of the show. She has later commented how it wasn't one of her better decisions but chalked it up as a learning experience.

She eventually left the cast of 7th Heaven at the end of it's sixth season to concentrate on feature film roles. She then starred in one of my favorite movies that she is in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre {2003}. The movie cost less than $10 million to make and made over $107 million world-wide even though it didn't get very great reviews.

She followed that movie up with a couple of not so successful films Blade: Trinity {2004} and Stealth {2005} and some really good roles in The Illusionist {2006} and I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry {2007}. I am really looking forward to her role in Power Blue which should be released sometime in 2008. If you would like to learn more about this talented actress you can try http://www.pathconnect.com/JessicaBiel and tv.com's profile of her at http://www.tv.com/jessica-biel/person/1669/summary.html?q=Jessica%20Biel&tag=search_results;title;1

I have been doing this list for three weeks now and really enjoy it. There are so many actors out there which I really like. This is not necessarily a list of the 100 most talented actors. It is a list of my 100 favorite actors. With that in mind I have added someone to my list that many won't like and many more will say is a terrible actor. I may agree with you on both points but I had to add him because I have watched a lot of his movies and liked them for their entertainment value. Please don't look down upon me....we all have things we aren't proud of. So without further adieu here is my number 97 pick -
Steven Seagal

He was born on April 10, 1951 in Lansing Michigan. At the age of seven he says he started his martial arts training and earned belts in aikido, kendo, judo, and karate by the time he was a teenager. After graduating at Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa, California he moved to Japan and through his in-laws he operated an aikido dojo. He eventually moved back to the states and opened a dojo with one of his students, Haruo Matsuoka in California. After working as a martial arts coordinator and celebrity bodyguard he impressed a Hollywood agent Michael Ovitz with his abilities and financed Steven's screen test for Warner Bros. He made such an impression that they signed him for his first film Above the Law in 1988.

Steven had several successful movies in the late 80's through the mid 90's including Hard to Kill {1990}, Marked for Death {1990}, and Out for Justice {1991}. His most popular film of that time period was Under Siege {1992} which grossed over $156 world-wide. After this his movies started a decline in popularity. He even went as far to do a buddy cop movie with Keenan Ivory Wayans in the Glimmer Man {1996} which did nothing to improve his career.

After several not so successful films over the next couple of years his contract was not renewed with Warner Bros. He started doing several direct-to-video movies such as The Patriot {1998} and Ticker {2001}. His last financially successful movie came from Exit Wounds with DMX which made over $80 worldwide.

My favorite movie of his to date is Executive Decision {1996} because up to this point in his career he was the headliner in all of the movies he was in. Taking a supporting role that had a very surprising turn, for the time, was nice to see from him.

Steven is currently active in many different areas. He is a huge supporter of Native American issues, solar power, and animal rights. His movies even include several of his positions on these topics. On Deadly Ground {1994} included his views on alternative fuel sources and Native American issues while Fire Down Below {1997} was about environmental issues. He also practices Tibetan Buddhist beliefs and says he is the guardian of the only child of the 10th Panchen Lama of Tibet.

If you are interested in him check out his profile on movietome.com and his official website at http://www.stevenseagal.com/.

I thought it was time to include an actress to my list and the first one that popped out at me was Hilary Swank. Mostly because I happened to just watch one of her movies moments ago. She is a very talented actress and this position in no way reflects badly on her. She's a real down to earth person that doesn't think of herself as a celebrity or take herself too serious.
Hilary Swank was born on July 30, 1974 in Lincoln, Nebraska (the state I'm from). Hilary became involved in acting at nine years old starring in school and community theater programs. She made her big screen acting debut in a very small part in Buffy The Vampire Slayer (1992) and then moved on to her first staring role as Julie Pierce in The Next Karate Kid (1994). In that role her training in swimming and gymnastics helped her out.

Her first huge role was that of Brandon Teena in the movie Boys Don't Cry (1999) which won her an Oscar for Best Actress. This award was well deserved because her performance was just amazing. She really shined in the movie portraying a person who was murdered by those who couldn't understand or accept her. What makes it more incredible was that she was only paid about $75 a day for the role and made a total of about $3,000.

She again won the Oscar for Best Actress in 2004 for her performance in Million Dollar Baby. It was another inspiring performance in another very good movie. This has to be my favorite of her roles up to this point. Hilary proved again that she has the skills to give any character life.

Some other films of interest you may want to see are Insomnia (2002), Freedom Writers (2007), and The Reaping (2007). I look forward to her playing Amelia Earhart in the film Amelia set to be released in 2009. If you would like to learn more about Hilary Swank try this website http://www.tiscali.co.uk/entertainment/film/biographies/hilary_swank_biog.html.
Number 99
In my quest to blog my top 100 actors of all time I had trouble trying to rank them in order. I have decided that number 99 has to be held by someone who has done an impressive array of work. Liev Schreiber is a fairly seasoned actor who first starred in the movie Mixed Nuts (1994) with Steve Martin. He was born in 1967 in San Francisco and moved to Canada after he turned one. Eventually he and his mother moved to New York. At that time she only let him watch black and white movies. His mother's eccentricities have helped mold him into a unique actor that he attributes to his uncanny skills to tap a balance of the funny and uncomfortably frail parts in his characters. His most recognizable part early in his career was as Cotton Weary in the Scream Trilogy.

A couple of very interesting parts he played in which his weird side shined was Scream 2 (1997) and Phantoms {1998}. Both of the characters he played both struck me as very unsettling. He played those roles so well that I would walk the opposite direction if I saw someone like that on the street.

Liev also is a respected ****cal actor. I have yet to see any of his theatre work but from what I read he is really good. I have read reviews of his performance of Henry V and they were really positive.

If you are not familiar with his film work I suggest you watch Phantoms {1998}, The Sum of All Fears (2002), and especially Jakob the Liar (1999), which is my personal favorite. His newest role as Sabertooth in X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009) looks to be really good. If you would like to learn more about Liev check out this website http://www.lievschreiber.org/index.shtml.

My Top 100 Favorite Actors
This is my list of favorite actors. It is not necessarily in order. I have a wide range of movie tastes so some of my picks may be odd to many and downright genius to none. My list however isn't set in stone and may change in the future as it has already changed in the past. There maybe some really big names I have left out but I will not include anyone I haven't seen at least one of their movies. Also, there is no part too small as I may add someone who has been a supporting actor his or her whole career. Finally this listing has really little to do with their acting ability as interpreted from critics. Originally I was going to start with my ten favorite actors but figured out it was way too hard to narrow my selections down that small. I then decided to come up with a list of my favorite 100 actors and my favorite 100 actresses and then decided I was crazy but not stupid and I couldn't organize anything that large. So I settled on my top 100 actors and actresses together. Well here it goes.......at 100 is...
Buster Keaton - One of the original film legends.

He was born in 1895 and got an early start at performing with his vaudeville family. In 1917 he met Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle, who introduced him to film, and made several movies with him for the next couple of years. By 1920 Keaton started making films of his own including The General (1927) and The Cameraman {1928} which are both good comedies from the period. He continued to star in films after the introduction of talking pictures. He worked as a gag writer and starred with several big acts of the time including The Marx brothers, Jimmy Durante, and Red Skelton. He also guest-starred in several features such as Limelight (1952), Around the World in Eighty Days (1956), and It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World (1963). In 1966 he passed away due to lung cancer.

I'm a huge fan of his work. He helped make the way for thousands of screen comedians to follow. The work he did back then was amazing all things considered. If I had to pick one movie of his I like the most I would pick Spite Marriage. It wasn't his most successful or critically acclaimed film but it was the first work of his I saw and it made a lasting impression.

If you would like to find out more about this amazing actor check out this website http://www.busterkeaton.com/.
I have decided not to list all 100 at this time. I will add more in the weeks to come.
Upcoming Movie I Want To See.
After seeing this trailor a couple of weeks ago I have wanted to see this movie when it comes out.

I'm not a huge fan of Spike Lee but I do enjoy several of his movies. This movie covers a time period I am really interested in (World War II). If anybody wants to check out the trailer go to http://miracleatstanna.movies.go.com/. I would be interested in seeing if anyone else plans on watching this film.
Film Critics.....Love 'em or Hate 'em
My First Blog.....Ever....
Well I haven't really ever thought of doing my own blog because I'm usually too busy reading all the goodness that are other's blog(ges)....but this ongoing writers strike has got me worried a bit. Are the writers going to get everything they want (and deserve) from the major studios? After seeing the success of the reality shows being talked about by several entertainment writers I'm pretty scared. I for one just hate the reality scene, not just because they seem to be popular, but because most of it is mindless trash.
If it is true about the new wave of reality television finding it's mark on the open schedules that scripted tv has left are the studios even going to push for very many new and creative shows? I still hold out hope that they will give the writers whatever their due is and get them back to work. Reality tv is more than a fad....unfortunately....but it will never have the lasting draw as scripted television....Honestly do you think years after American Idol ends (hopefully sooner than later) there will be events popping up like the Slayerfests or the Star Trek conventions? God I hope not.
Well that was my first attempt on a blog and it felt good. Next time maybe I will give something a little more thought before I jump into it blindly.
