Pink Floyd has many great albums. Dark side of the Moon was their most famous album of all time, and didn't drop off the top 100 album chart until almost 10 years after it's original release. As far as song writing goes the best would probably go the The Wall. An overall approach most would say that either Darkside or Wish you Were Here would get that award. But musically speaking that would have to go to Animals. The gutair work by David Gilmour on this album is incredible. The songs are long and full of phrasing, the lyrics, great themselves, come second to the music. Animals is an album that can be listened to over and over again. Unfortunally this album was slightly overlooked when it first came out. This album is not for posers who like only one or two Floyd Songs and own a t-shirt. This album is for the die hard pink floyd fan. It is a must for a Pink Floyd collection.
