That Was Fast...

Just to let you all know, Gertsmann's site "Giant Bomb" is up. Since it allows comments, I am going to assume that it will eventually lead to a full user system, and thus I am now plegdging allegiance to it as my core game review center.

I suggest those of you disapointed in Gamespot do the same.

Gamespot Has Changed. So Must We All

I just found out in the forums today that Jason Ocampo has left Gamespot. A shocking event, sure, but more shocking in that he is yet another GS staff member who has left us. To keep this blog short and sweet, to the point as well, I'm going to follow suit.

I have become convinced that no remaining GS staff member has faith in this site, and if my assumptioon is correct. Untill I see why all these people have left, hopefully to form a new site, I'm not going to stay here. I will leave Gamespot until I see what Jeff Gertsmann, Ryan Davis, Ocampo, Navarro and Provo are doing, and I will join that site. I love the community and al, but at this point, there's no reason, content wise, for me to stay.

Don't think of this as a goodbye, I'll likely see you all soon enough on the mythical new site that is being created. Until then chow.

Some Quick Notes

-Uncharted is awesome, though it is choc full of frustrating moments.

-I really really want Professor Layton and the Curious Village, as reviews have called it amazing.

- I still want that cobalt blue DS. Anything is possible as money comes in.

-I still only have a couple friends on PSN. Add me!

- I currently don't have a working Sype Microphone. To the shopping list it goes!

-I only have to work one day this week. Righteous!

-Downtown Gamespot is getting crazier in the forums every day. If you haven't joined yet, do so now! I'll wait.

-Later!

Cobalt Blue DS? (Help Me!)

I need help you guys her's my dilemma.

I want to get a new Cobalt Blue DS when it comes out in a week or so, and I have reasons.

-The new color is truly sick, of course.

-With Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword coming out soon I'm going to be playing my DS more, and I'd rather play on a newer version.

-After trading in my DS it'd probably be only about 90 bucks.

-Several features of my DS Classic are still broke. Examples: Lock ups on loading screen, faulty touch screen, scratches, broken pixels.

What it comes down to is that I can still play my DS, but its really not preferable. So, what do you guys think. To buy or not to buy?

My Favorite PS3 Game: Twisted Metal 2

Just kidding.

Seriously though, TM2 is excellent. I downloaded it last night at the suggestion of good old Mr. SkoneLL and it is still a lot of fun to this day. In fact, TM 2 is probably the single greatest car combat game I have ever played. The weapons are great, the game moves astonishingly fast and you can run over 2D characters and send them to the other side of the map flying. The music fo r the os Angeles level is also timeless. My only complaint is that these PS1 rereleases don't include any online multiplayer. That would be amazing.

I'm also playing more of UT3, though the online mysteriously went down this afternoon. No worries. I'll just polay through the single-player of Twisted Metal again. . I played some deathmatch with Skone, which was fun and lag-free, however actually joining and setting up games online on PS3 is surprisingly hard to do. You have to jump through hoops. Also the mod support in the game is becoming hard to operate. Too many games with Action Cam installed crash. Fantastic game though.

To those who have Rez HD, is it any good? I played A TON of the PS2, and I really should buy it, but I haven't yet. Why? I don't know.

AHHHHHHH GAMES!

Later.
