Almost Completed
Just look at my now playing list. Every game on that list I haven't beaten. Up until last week 4 out of my 5 PSP games were on that list. And I'm so close to finishing them all. I had one more Unique Stunt Jump in Vice City Stories. I have one more skin to unlock in Lumines, I have two more races to complete in Ridge Racer, and I have one more goal to do in Tony Hawk's Underground 2 Remix.
My PS2 isn't much better. There are 3 Timmy's to hunt down in Driv3r. Just going through the final cutscene in Half Life, but it won't load. I could finish Final Fantasy XII if I wanted to, but I'm doing side quests. There is 1% left on Gran Turismo 3.
On the PC there is Red Alert, which I have 1 mission left for the allies. Need For Speed: Porche Unleased has a few more races, Need For Speed: Hot Persuit 2 would be done, but I leant it to a friend a year ago, and I think the PS2 version is better, so I don't really want to play it.
There are even PS1 games that I am almost done. In Final Fantast Origins all I had left was the final boss of FF2, but I'm not strong enough to beat him yet and I've sold the weapon that is his only weakness. I could beat him if I had that. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 has just a few gaps and then complete the Career with the character unlocked by completing the gaps. GTA2 is also close to completion, but the PC version is better, so I'd rather play that.
I intend to complete most of these. I have 3 games I haven't even started yet because I'm trying to finish off some of this list before I end up adding more to it. The PC ones will probably stay there for a while, as I have a Mac now, but the PSP ones and the PS2 ones will be done before I start those 3 games.
Wierd Day
I expected today to be like every other day. Get up, drink coffee,
walk to school, play pool, walk back. So at the end of my first class
the teacher starts giving back our last assignment. She's calling out
names and one of them is a name I recognize. It's a guy I went to
private school with a decade ago. We're both doing Computer Science
majors now. Then at mt next class (which is also my last class of the
day. I set up my scheduele to end at noon on fridays) The teach starts
returning our midterms. Another name I recognize, from the same
private school I went to back from 94-97. How wierd is that? Two
people I haven't talked to in 10 years, and I end up meating them both on
the same day.
I also didn't expect to buy a new chair today. Last weak mine fell apart. Dad's in town for an apointment so he can
drive me around to different stores to look for a new one. I was
hoping to find one in the range of $100-$150. I spent more on my new
chair than I did on buying my PS2 or my PSP. I certainly didn't think
when I woke up this morning that I would be spending that much on a
chair. But it's really comfortable. I'm glad I ignored the price,
because I will spend a lot of time in that chair. Check it out here.
Slacking off at school
The University had no power on the weekend so half of the buildings were still without power or too cold. My lab this morning was cancelled because of it. That would have been good to know before I missed the bus and walked to school. After I found out the lab was canceled I decided to play some pool then go home because in my other 2 classes today were pointless. In one we are watching a movie that I have seen before and in the other the teacher doesn't know how to teach, so I skip it at least once a week. It's a good thing my lab was canceled because I didn't do the assignment that you hand in at the begining of the lab.
Also, the university screwed me over. Back in the spring, academic advisors go to the high schools and tell the students what courses they need to take to get into the program the want. So, I took the courses they told me to. Unfortunately, they told me to take Computer Science 1700, when what I need for my double degree is Computer Science 1710. Now I don't have the prerequisite for another 2 courses I need, and I had to take a slack class that I don't need. So, I have to take some courses this summer to catch up.
19 Days Later, I Get the Internet Back
Tis the season for...
A few Union related things
I am now the leader of the Games With Guns Union. It should be a double AWOL union, but thanks to the glitch it is Active Duty still. We need at least 2 new officers, and the rest of the union needs to start posting on the board. I have added a few new general topics, such as PC shooter discussion and Console shooter discussion. If you are not a member feel free to join. There are over 100 members already.
Also, I am helping form a PC Builders and Off Topic Union. Once that forms feel free to join that as well.
Also, join GTA Legends, The Black Hole Union, and The CFL Union.

Farewell Brian Carrol
School ends this week and grad is on Friday. But the man who everyone wants to be there moved to Montreal Tuesday morning. If you have ever seen the movie "City Of God" then you can compare him to Benny. It's just not a party without Brian. For his final party before moving everyone showed up, even the non-party goers. Amazing considering how cold that beach was. This guy can do whatever he thinks he can do. He is going to Montreal for 13 months. He does not know how to speak a word of french. He will definitely learn though because of the language laws in Quebec. I can't see how he is going to go to school to learn about sound recording if he can't understand the teachers. Here is a pic from the final Beach Bash. The guy in the middle is Brian and I am on the far right.

Have a good time in Montreal Brian. We will miss you.
Thursday, May 18 is Sr. Pip Day!
This weekend is a long weekend in Canada. The mainland call it the Victoria Day Weekend, but in Newfoundland we call it May Two Four. It is the Monday before May 24 and Newfoundlanders often go camping and get drunk all weekend. Traditionally grade twelves skip school on the day before the long weekend, so that they can get a head start on drinking and have a BBQ. This year there is a school holiday on the Friday before May Two Four, so Sr. Pip Day is on Thursday. FIVE DAY WEEKEND!!!
No more ZeD
It was recently announced that ZeD would be canceled. Not many people watched this show but it is/was my favorite show. It frequently featured up and coming bands before they reach the main stream culture. They were the first place many Canadians first heard Hot, Hot, Heat or The Constantines. They also featured many Independent film makers from around the world. It is the place where I first saw many Oscar nominated and winning short films such as 50% Grey, Ryan, 2 Cars One Night, and many others. I was a fan of the show ever since I saw their 20 episode beta season. The next season was great. 50 minute episodes and no commercials. then it was reduced to 40 minutes in season 2. The high point of that season was a 7 hour long live marathon, that included interviews with viewers ia the Internet. I still have 5 hours of it on tape and occasionally watch it. Every season they changed the format of the show but they never improved it. The final season was reduced to 3 episodes a week, 35 minute episodes and they added commercial breaks. The ZeD website was the high point of the show, with more than 50, 000 on demand films, videos, songs, paintings, interviews, photos, and poetry. I only watched 3 episodes of the final season because I did not like the format, and how mainstream they were trying to make it.

My current signature is one of over 300 unique disclaimers that the producers made for the show.
The Sony Press Conference
I just finished watching the press conference and I am amazed. They got rid of the batarang controller. I was a bit interested in it, but instead of it is the standard Sony controller. I started to drool when I saw the warhawk demo with the motion sensors in the controller. My jaw dropped when I saw Solid Snake shoot himself in the head (or not shoot himself in the head, you know how they edit stuff). Then I almost cried when they announced playable PS3's were all around the room for the people there to play. An amazing conference indeed. It is a shame I missed most of it because my friend needed math help.
Oblivious to the world around you
One of my friends downloaded Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and played it for 46 hours without stopping to do basic things such as sleeping or showering. Is it just me or is that an unreasonable amount of time to be sitting at a computer. Is he insane? I have been called insane for spending $200 on a calculator but this is just plain nuts. At least the calculator had a periodic table and can play Mario games. Forty six hours of Oblivion does not have any positive effects that I can see. Except that he got it for free.
A game called RL
RL is this game that I've been trying. It's kinda sucks. The subscription fees are way too high, you can't level up, there are no mods and the story is kind of boring. There's also this training program called school that takes 12 years to complete. What game designer came up with that idea? There are some advantages though. One is that it is not rated by the ESRB, and has not been banned in any country, yet. This doesn't offset the fact that there are no re-spawn point's and it could be game over at any point during the gameplay. I still have not found out how to win, but I'm sure once I do, it will take a long time to complete.
GAT:LCS and what I'm curently working on.
Afer 4 days of looking I finally found the elusive 100th hiddeen package for GTA:LCS. It was all that was left for 100%. I made it to 91% before looking for help. Now that I completed it, I have done all GTA games to 100% without using cheats.
The CFL union recently formad and I was their first recruit. I have been working on a CFL game for the TI83+ calculator, but I'm a slacker and have only worked on it three times since christmas. It's not going to be done anytime soon. My calculator is broken. I'll probably get a better one in September when I start university.
