Whenever i listen to Modest Mouse these days, which is generally very often, I always think back to when i bought Good New for People Who Love Bad News. And whenever i do that i always think about when, and why, the band became truely popular where i live. Float On is indeed an amazing song but it in no way shows the true potential of the band is doesnt come close to being a sole representation of what the band is capable of. My friend read an article and told me later that it had said that the bad had all locked themselves away until the album was finished. Personally I did and do get a feeling of incompletion. But I got this album from a friend the other day and I love it. They are an amazing band with so much to offer. I truely hope that people who love the song Float on and that album expand into other Modest Mouse work because there music is some of the best in this day an age... in my book of course :) Oh yeah... and listen to Polar Opposites, its a good one.
