Weightloss Blog: August

Well, I seem to keep losing weight. Ironic, especially since I havent been subscribing to my diet. I have been very active though, so I guess thus far if I could offer one piece of advice to anyone wanting to lose weight it is this:

get off your ass and exercise. Just one hour a day. A walk a lot.

Anyway, I thought I have been losing weight but couldnt find a weigh to weigh myself, but my suspicions were proven correct when my family came to visit me and said I looked like I lost weight. Also, my belt is a good two or three inches too big as my pants keep falling down every time I move hoses, bags of malt, and other stuff around at the brewery. Ive never been so happy to be embaressed. A lot of my shirts are too big now; some of my polos feel like tents now.

In conclusion: goodbye 4X shirts and 46+ belt size! Also, if youre active, you can relax on the diet.

OK everyone, thanks for the kind words and advice you have been posting!

Funny, I just happened to watch Penn & Teller's episode about weight loss. Exercising is really a drug for me. It's just something you can't stop once you get the taste of it.

Man thats awesome! I'm doing the opposite of you though. I'm trying to gain weight. Well, not lately, really. All I've been doing is sitting on my butt playing games and guitar. And I mean muscle weight. I only weigh about 114 pounds, so yeah.

But still, thats awesome to hear.

Nice. Let us know how much you've lost if you get a chance to weigh yourself. I remember when I was losing my weight quickly, too, and my clothes weren't fitting anymore. Didn't care that buying new clothes was costing money; being able to fit into smaller sizes was compensation enough. So I know the feeling.

Heh, I remember when a friend of mine who's really skinny tried on my size 44's (that didn't fit me anymore) just for kicks, and put a belt on really tight to keep them from falling. That was some funny ****, right there.

Sounds like you're doing really well. A word of warning, though - you might plateau soon, and those last 15 or 20 pounds can be very, very tough to drop, even with a great eating plan and regular exercise.

Anyway, stick with it, man. Good luck for the future.

Thanks all.

JP: ya, I really want to know how much Ive lost. Its nice to know I am losing weight, but even better to have an official number. Cant wait for the day I can fit into a 2X shirt size either...I can finally wear those funny shirts I own!

Shodan: ya, I am fearing the plateau but the last time I was healthy and held a steady weight I weighed 280 so I am hoping that when I do plateua, it happens closer to 300 and not 350.

Yes, its nice too loose weight but not nice when you have to buy a new wardrobe. Keep those old clothes in storage, because "ya never know" I roughly stay around the same weight I was when I was in High School. 13yrs.. Yeah, I've lost weight and gained it back.. Also what seems to help is drinking water instead of constant soda. Another thing that helps is that you eat once a day(Breakfast). If you also treat your job as your personal gym by working your a$$ off then you will loose weight. It seems that buy spending less money on food, games, etc makes one loose weight. Weird, but there it is.

Nice to hear that you're seeing some results.

And yeah, training is ten times better than any diet out there.
