Played some arcade games. Versed my friend in DDR. My iphone wouldn't stop jiggling in my pocket so I set it on the Machine.
Lost to my friend playing DDR. I was Tired. Went to get a drink at the food stand.

Long time no see, everybody! (How many times have I said that?) I can't believe I'm at level 50 now, even though I barely do jack on this site anymore.
Well, anyway, I pretty much only write in this blog for one reason, and that's to announce a new video I've uploaded on Youtube. In reality, I've uploaded a few videos since my last blog post, but I never got around to tell you. You can just check them out for yourself on my channel.
But I'm here to tell you about my most recent video, which is a "musical" of sorts. Unlike my other videos, which are either AMVs or random crap, this is a "musical", like Kajetokun's "The Pylons Are Trap Balls" or "My Ninja Info Cards", that uses Japanese phrases from the 3 Yu-Gi-Oh! anime series. I have a dial-up connection and whereas it was not such a big issue when I first joined this site back in 2004, it ultimately led to my undoing as the years went on. It honestly was not so bad in the beginning. One need only look at my number of contributions to other shows and my accepted count for proof of this. I started on the site only planning to contribute to others shows and over time I then I decided to tackle some Person Guides.
My mistake was when I decided to try my hand at Show Guides. I never intended to do this, but when I heard word about Metalocalypse it just seemed right. I felt so compelled to give that show a decent editor that I decided to go for it and try for it myself. I fought hard to earn editorship of the guide and I actually won. The first season of Metalocalypse is proudly my work. The show summary, that is me too. I was aware of the potential for Metalocalypse before it became big and I will always be proud of that. I see my contributions floating about being re-quoted and used on sites and blogs and even on Facebook applications such as Mesmo TV - of course it is all anonymous or attributed to This TV.com Editor.
I was content with just Metalocalypse as my only Show Guide but then along came Frisky Dingo and again I couldn't believe I had gained Editorship of another show. Shin-Chan was not so bad in the beginning having started as a 6 episode test run which I felt needed a separate guide because the FUNimation version is so distinctively different than the other incarnations of that series. Again, it was something I felt strongly about and believed in. Imagine my surprise when the series got picked up for a full season. Now i was editing and maintaining not ONE guide but THREE, and on a dial-up connection. These shows mattered to me I didn't even get paid for this gig.
Around late 2007, it began happening. My browser no longer was stable to navigate and use the site. I tried to check my mail and it would crash, I tried to post on the forums and it would crash, I tried to reply to anything and it would crash. I had to switch from using Safari to Firefox. My internet decided to disconnect at random intervals and sometimes even get stuck disconnecting to where it never went idle and I had to perform a complete restart. I struggled to keep up with my user submissions queue. What once was fun and a labor of love was now becoming work and did I mention again that I don't get paid for this? I would set aside a few days out of the week to catch up with everything and it was not uncommon for me to spend up to 5-6 hours straight working on my guides. One day I spent hours just trying to moderate and accept 15 perfectly fine submissions. All I wanted to do was approve them but I had to do it one by one. By the time I had barely made a dent in approving them my queue was raided. Poof. I got a letter about how I wasn't keeping up with my queue and I wasn't active enough as an Editor and I was neglecting my duties for Frisky Dingo. Not true at all but yes. that is how it appeared to the staff. I lost Frisky Dingo first as you all know since that is the only blog entry which has been left here for almost half a year. Then in July it happened. I was retired from my beloved Metalocalypse and Shin Chan. I was too proud to retire myself but it was inevitable.
I just cannot keep up with the increasing demands of expectations for me on a dial-up speed connection which on a good day runs at speeds which allow me to download one 50 MB album within the time frame of 6 hours and one 100 MB album in the time range of 12 hours. Ladies and gentlemen, that is brutal. I won't stop loving these shows which I had the privilege to edit for awhile. It was a good run and I had fun but it was just becoming stressful anyway. I fought hard and tried my best but I just don't have the capabilities after they changed the site. I spent one hour trying to get into the Fall Show Premiere 2008 chat a few days ago. I am going to take a backseat to being so active around here. I have my person guides and they are not as rigorous or demanding to keep up to date. I have mixed feelings about what happened to me and would like to just lie and say, I stepped down from my positions but even that was difficult to do since whenever I tried to mail anyone about anything it just all crashed on me. It has taken me this long to even remove my shows from my signature on the forums. All in all, I am sad that my dial-up is to blame for this. I really had big plans to make these guides nice. I really gave a damn about these shows. Seeing someone else as Editor is not a good experience but I won't take it out on the shows themselves because I still enjoy them. Once again, I was not getting paid for this but I was giving so much of my hours in a day and time but it never went noticed because to everyone else I was slow and not active to my guides. I spent hours just adding new episodes to make sure the guides had the current listings but it all went by unnoticed because who knows how many submissions slipped by in that time span. I even had once recorded every single episode of said shows to my dvr to check for accuracy of quotations and details, but no more. I ranted, I had my say, now I guess i would like to hear from anyone who took the time to read through this.
Why am I having such a hard time finding good quotes from Reaper? Well, lots of them are good, but none are what I'm looking for.
If anyone reads this and you know of any good quotes from Sock about Hell, the Devil or fire, then please post them here. I am trying to make a siggy, but can't without the appropriate quote.
Well, I finally got the chance to watch two animated films that I've been meaning to.
The first of them is Persepolis. Now, in case you're not cool, and have never heard of the film, it's based on a duo of graphic novels done by Marjane Satrapi which I personally adored. It's based off of her experiences a an Iranian girl living in the middle of the Iranian Revolution, and can get rather personal. We start off with her as a six-year-old girl, slowly becoming more aware of the situation, and end with her as a 21-year-old woman leaving to France. The film is animated, but it certainly isn't a kids movie, and you'll see this quickly just by watching the movie. What I really enjoy about it, though, is how lighthearted it really is, even with the serious topics mentioned here. I could really talk about the film's brilliance all day, but Ed Liu says it best. I really think everyone needs to see this movie. On my top 10 animated films list, no doubt. An easy 5/5.
Other then that, I plowed through Futurama: The Beast With a Billion Backs, the second of four DTVs that the show will release(consider this an unofficial new season, I guess). Well, in case you didn't know, I wasn't too hot on the first one Bender's Big Score. Wasn't bad, but I thought it was too confusing for it's own good, and this one seems to be more of the same. I could tell you the plot, but to save me from the potential migraine, I'll just say that it's weird. Well, the brilliant snarky humor that made us geeks fall in love with Matt Groening's series is still in tact, but I kind of wanted, well, more to the film then just that, which I never really got. I can't explain to you what, exactly, but I'm sure some of those who saw it will know what I'm talking about. I heard that a lot of FryxLeela shippers weren't satisfied with this film, with the edition of Fry's girlfriend, uh, whatever that character Brittany Murphy played, and how the progress the two went through in the last film went nowhere here. Personally, while I have no problem with shippers of the couple, I don't really care. Besides, I'm sure that KifxAmy fans will probably have more to complain about. Regardless, I'll just give the movie a 3/5. If you're a diehard fan of the show, then you'll probably want to buy it, but less hardcore fans will probably just want to rent it, like I did, or even wait for it to air on Comedy Central.
Oh, we also got a sneak peek at the next movie. Looks like it'll have a Dungeons & Dragons-esq parody plot, and Mom and her lackeys will have a bigger focus here. I don't really see how they'll fit this into a good 90-minute film when the plot is typical kids stuff(Billy & Mandy and Dexter's Lab did stories like this with a 7-minute-guideline), so I'm not putting my hopes up for it, but at the same time, the crew have worked miracles before, so I'm still gonna give it a look. Besides, it's Futurama. I'm required to watch it by law.
Yesterday, while my sister was driving me around, the acoustic version of "SOS" played on her CD. She then mentioned how much she loves the Jonas Brothers and how she's going to see them when they come in September, and how she offered to pay for me to go with her. I was... actually, quite mortified at the offer. To me, the Jonas Brothers are the epitome of the unruly fangirl. At least metalhead chicks are often really hot, and there's even a few hot yaoi girls, like one on Toon Zone I'd mention if I wasn't so worried that she or someone she knows from there could tell her, so, yeah. Well, anyeay, uh, the Jonas Brothers aren't my kind of thing, so I wasn't very pleased to of been offered to see them.

Song of the Blog: Testament- "Souls of Black", in honor of the fact that it's been rumored to appear on Rock Band 2's setlist, whch made me a very happy Testament fan boy. Granted, I think "Over the Wall" would of been a much better fit for the game(just listen to that riff and Chuck Billy's awesome range), but hey, at least Testament could appear in the game. Besides, bass players should be happy, as that opening line's to die for, and the rest of the song is top-notch, too.

Hello, hello. A shorter blog this time, just about Doctor Who. Only two more left, and they're looking rather good, with Russel T Davies playing 'how much can we shove into two episodes before they explode?!' But anyway, we've still got all that to come.
Silence in the Library - superb casting, great CGI, a typically brilliant script from Moffat. What more could you ask for? Of course, it's not perfect. The Data Ghost scene goes on a bit (although it is necessary for setting up the later scares) and the cliffhanger is just a lot of shouting (with an obvious resolution) but you can't have everything. Vashta Nerada must be the best name for anything ever... 9/10
Forest of the Dead - Faster paced than the first part and generally a much more exciting episode. Donna's virtual life provides a nice secondary plot (watch Doctor Moon's funny facial expressions! he's hilarious!) and the cast continue to impress. Tennant and Alex Kingston are amazing in their scenes together - provided with great dialogue (and imagery) - 'you watch us run', the Doctor opening the TARDIS by snapping his fingers, etc. River's 'death' scene is the best bit, almost topped by the Doctor's final run to save her. Just brilliant. 10/10
Midnight - a pleasingly decent script from Russel T Davies, who is not among my favourite writers for this series. There's no escaping the fact that this is filler, but if you accept that, it's very enjoyable. The cast are all good, but it is Tennant who holds this together in the weaker moments - such as the repeating stuff going on too long. Some people are gonna find this tedious, as it's basically some people in a box shouting at each other, but I didn't, really. Better than I expected, 7/10
Turn Left - Rose is back, hooray! Thank god, cos without Billie Piper this episode would have fizzled out completey. Catherine Tate isn't bad as an actress, and she just about carries it off, but the story's not exactly interesting...more like a clipshow of series 3 and 4, or a 'best of RTD' episode, with a bit of ATMOS thrown in for good measure. The pre-titles scenes are great, and the last five minutes are amazing, it's just a bit stodgy and uninteresting in between. I just felt the whole thing was fairly pointless, especially as everything looks so good next week. Ah well. The trailer...wow. Should be good. 6/10

I have not been on this website properly for like 2 months anyway, it's one year to this day when i signed up to tv.com. By pure coincidence i came on today and saw the date that i joined while scrolling down the page, something clicked and i realised today is May 7th aswell. This was only made possible because its bank holiday monday in England (Bank holidays are so called because they are days upon which banks are shut and therefore (traditionally) no other businesses could operate. I am tired like no other! I had to spend 3 hours today building a toothpick bridge, and it's not even close to done! And it's due Wednsday, and I won't have time Monday or Tuesday! GAH!! We alsoo had a SS project due Monday. I wrote the report in class yesterday while we were watching some dumb video, but it needed to be a 4-6 minute oral speech. It was about 1 and a half. So I re did it. It's a project on a Fortune 500 company, so I chose General Mills (they make cereal!). Spenin 4 minutes talking about cereal is hard stuff, but I did. They own a lot of other stuff though. Like Red Lobster and Olive Garden. And Fruit Roll Ups. Then I taped everything GM in my house (cereal, betty crocker stuff, bisquick, haagen-dazs) to the poster board. If I don't ace this, sparks will fly. Ugh, so much more toothpick bridge to go...
