I have an announcement.

Everyone, I am now dubbing myself the "Ebert & Roper" of amateur bands. This is a big step in pronouncing myself this title, but I think it is about time.

I know everything there is to know about music.

On a side note, turns out my brothers label may be merging with an indie branch of capitol, we are in the process of dealing with these fellows, and I will keep you all up to date with this. With all these bands on mp3.com I am sure a few of them are not complete pricks, or bad musicians at that.

Yes.

Ah, Good to be back.

Hey there guys, lost the password to my old account (seeing as how I was on tour with my bro, and didn't log on for a whole month.)

Anyway, my brothers label out here is getting some big rep, and he told me to start searching for bands, so technically I am a makeshift one-man A&R department. Yeah, pretty lame.

L.A. is still my hometown, and I hope to keep it that way, and help my bro as much as I can! I'll be back for more updates!

Frankie and His Fingers have a great sound. With the voice similar to that of the Strokes and a grungy sound that can be related to the White Stripes, the band has it going.

As a two piece band the sound is enormous and really lets their musical talent jump out at the listener. The lyrics really catch your ear with the great voice, and smooth fluent writing.

Though, I question on the recordings there is a bass. I have never seen them live, but this may or may not affect the presentation of their fabulous music.

Two thumbs up!

I am going ask this right now: How did you fellows manage to work your way up the LBS leader board so fast with absolutely no following, and no sound?

Atop that, you kids really need to get a sound. All of your songs sound different and poorly constructed. The only thing good about them is the recordings, which sound very well produced. I am going to guess that someone had some of their parents money to drop on recordings, however, I could be wrong. Oh, Hold on a second, I am getting a telephone call.

Yeah, it was Chad Kroeger, he wants his voice back. Honestly, it really sounds like Kroeger is singing for your band after he just downed a couple drinks.

I wish I had a third thumb just to point three to the ground. I think you suburban boys need to take some time apart from each other and really work on your musicianship, and what sound you think you want. As of now every song sounds different, and the only unifying theme in each song is the Kroeger-esque voice that jumps out.

That was not meant to bash you guys, it was meant as an honest opinion and I think you should all take advantage of it now before you attempt to take any steps forward.

Coldplay anyone?

Not here to bash on the band, these guys have talent, and they have a look. The music is attune to the ear, but it's because it has already been heard before.

The music is great, but far from original. Though, if the music is enjoyed by its creators and fans alike then no complaints.

I had my foot tappin' through all the songs.

Alright, here is the scoop. Front woman with a sub-par voice. That is it, that is the demise of the band. However, I cannot leave my critique here, I must elaborate and make this constructive. So I will do my best.

First off, the band is based too much around Rachel. This is evident through both the name and the recordings. The band name is the name of the singer, and in the recordings we get to hear her vocals overpower every other instrument within the music. But wait, there is a solo.

Sadly, that solo could be done by my 8-year-old nephew who plays guitar as well. This song seems like it was thrown together quickly and no thought was put into the lyrics or the construction of the song. Give more room for the musicians to have fun, and play what they want to play.

If I was in a band, I could not settle for mediocrity.
Keep working at it, and get a new band name!

I am not saying that's a good thing, but the main reason why this band deserves 4 stars is because they are bringing everyone what they want. From what I have heard, the lyrics are those cliche, over-used lyrics that everyone wants, or loves.

Don't get me wrong, I am not saying this music is amazing, and I am most certainly not calling it original. But this is whats in, whether it's a good or bad thing, I will not say.

4 stars for effort.
