Bla bla bla
Hi everybody!!
Wow, it's been a long time. I haven't really been to tv.com so much lately, I've been Super-busy, and I hope it will begin to slow down abit from now on.
So what has been happening lately? This morning I passed a really big exam that I've been studying for for the last two weeks. YAY!
It was really important because it was 1/3 out of all the course-points I have to take during my ph.d. I'm almost done with the courses now, which is great!
On top of that my research is really moving along right now. I'm presenting my data all over, this week alone I'll be doing two presentations, and it just takes forever to prepare. I'm almost done planning a week-long-trip to the states in January where I'm going to meet a lot of important people who hopefully will give me even more to do...
My maternity-leave starts on the 12th of February. I can't wait! Because I'm a ph.d.-student I actually get really good terms on my leave, which also means that I can start it up to 6 weeks before I give birth. I know that I'm going to be huge by that time, but I can't wait to get some time for myself and really indulge before everything is about the baby... ![]()
The pregnancy is going really well, no problems so far. The baby is kicking all the time, and the hubby loves it!
My appetite has become smaller - thankfully - so I'm not eating all the time anymore. I'm now in week 25, about 5 months, and I've only gained 3 kgs so far!
Because I was a bit overweight before I got pregnant I have to watch out for the extra kilos even more than normal weight-people. So that means I can't just indulge in candy and chocolates, even though that's all I wonna do...
But I guess so far it's working for me.
On the tv-side. I'm soooo hooked on Fringe at the moment. I'm still on season 1, but it's really interesting, and I really like the X-files-feel the show has. I'm eager to see what happens...
Besides Fringe, I haven't been watching too much tv lately. Off course I've managed to keep up with Supernatural, and even though I know a lot of you disagree (hmm... Shazz??), I really like this season so far. The last epi before the break was awesome, and the guy that plays Lucifer is just so perfect in that role... ![]()
Anyway, no more ramblings from me, I'll better get back to work! ![]()

TV and a little picture of the baby
Hi everybody
I know I haven't been here much lately, but I've been taking different courses for my ph.d. and on top of that I've been away for an entire week to slaughter pigs (I know, it sounds bad...). But I'm back now and I just wonna give you guys an update.
First of all, I went to my first scanning 3 weeks ago. I don't know how it is everywhere else, but here in Denmark we go to regular scannings to get the baby checked out, and to make sure that it doesn't have any defects (for example Downs Syndrome). So here is the picture we got out of it:

I don't know if you can make anything out, but I can assure you that it was very cute, it was waving at us and didn't have anything wrong with it...
It was a fantastic experience!!!
And I think it made it really real for Morten as well.
So television-wise I've actually been quite busy. I'm up to date on all the SN, and I LOVE, LOVE this season so far. It's really angsty, with great one-liners. But I really, really hope that it's not going to end up being some epic show-down between good and evil between Sam and Dean... CLICHÉ...
I've begun watching s2 of True Blood with the hubby, progress is slow, as there always seem to be something else he wants to watch...
But I'm not so excited about this season so far. It's really different than the books, and the plots are not that interesting so far (we're at epi 6 or something). Too bad, I really hope it picks up... At least Eric is still easy on the eyes... ![]()
Criminal minds are allright. Not fantastic, but still interesting. And I'm trying to start watching Fringe s1. But it's on so late at night that I just can't seem to stay awake. 3 episodes have been on so far and I haven't managed to stay awake for a single one...
Man, this pregnancy is just making me too tired...
But I'm comtemplating whether I should keep on trying to watch it. It looks allright. What do you guys think? Uh, and has anybody watched the first episodes of The Vampire Diaries? Is it any good??
Well, that's it for me for now. Take care!
Love Tina
Randomness...
So the hubby and me have finally finished season 1 of True Blood and I can't wait to start season 2. Why the hell does watching tv take so much longer when you have to wait for your husband...?
I'm all about Alexander Skarsgård. Normally I'm not really into the blondes, but he really does it for me. He makes Swedish look sexy... ![]()
I'm also re-watching s1 of Supernatural. I bought the DVD dirt-cheap, and I really love the beginning. I've only watched it when it was on the first time, so it's really nice to have the beginning repeated. And I've even forgotten what pappa-winchester is actually doing, so that's brilliant!
I've also bought s3 and Veronica Mars s1 and 2. Can't wait to start watching VM again, that series rocks!!
I can't wait untill the 10th of september when SN s5 starts!! Squee!
The trailer is amazing, and I can't wait to see how Kripke is going to end this show. I'm not too curious about the new shows starting this year. I might as well check out the pilot for The Vampire Diaries, but it really depends on the quality of that whether I'll continue watching it. The sad thing is that I won't really have too much time for tv this autumn, with the ph.d. and the pregnancy. I'm also reading a lot and there's just not enough hours in the day for it all...
So I'll just finish off with a short note on the pregnancy; We're doing fine, I'm now in week 11 and the hunger has really kicked in now. I'm hungry ALL THE TIME, and I can eat like there's no tomorrow! At least I haven't put any weight on so far, but I'm quite sure that will change soon... ![]()
Hope y'll are doing fine, and that everybody returns now that tv is starting up again. It's really been a ghosttown in here lately... ![]()

Yay - I'm back! :)
WTF?!?! OK - so now all the older blogs have come back - but the ones I wrote while the other were missing are missing now?!? I can see that things are NOT back to normal in tv.com-world (sadly). I just blogged before I went on holiday and didn't have a chance to read your comments before now. And now they aren't here... Hm, I hope you didn't state anything too clever if it's lost in the cyber-world forever... ![]()
Anyhoo... I had an amazing holiday, the weather was just right and I've even tanned a bit (which is quite amazing as I'm a redhead and don't normally tan). My 30th birthday was everything I had hoped; 20 people celebrating me at the summerhouse with a walk to the beach and a barbecue in the evening. 8 people stayed over night in tents, and it was really nice to continue the celebrations into sunday. So all in all I would say that I've been celebrated just right!!
And then I log onto tv.com and see a note from Sharon (Shazz) and she has also mentioned me in her blog! WOW!
Thank you - thank you, it really means a lot to me. ![]()
The pregnancy is going well, I'm a bit icky about food, but not really nausiated. And I hope it will stay that way. My bigsister did the bad throw-up-thing for the first 4 months, and I REALLY don't wonna copy that... Today I enter week 8 and I plan on seeing the doctor for the first time about during the next week. Tomorrow I go back to work, on some level I must admit I'm looking forward to a normal day-schedule again, but another level I wish I could just stay on vacation forever! ![]()

True Blood season 2 starts tonight!!!
Just a quick blog to let everybody know how I just cannot wait to see the start of the new season of True Blood tonight. I'm reading the books right now, and even though the producers have stated that season 2 is going to be quite different from the second book, I'm sure it's going to be really interesting... ![]()
HBO have made some promosites and "infomercials" for the new season, and it's fang-tastic, go check it out:
fellowshipofthesun.org - if you are anti-vampires...
americanvampireleague.com - if you love the vamps... (I'm an american) FUNNY! ![]()
ENJOY - I know I will... ![]()
Vampires are fang-tastic...
I know that this blog is going to get me into trouble, but I just have to get it out there. Let me start off by saying that I have discovered that I absolutely love vampires. There's just something about them that's really hot! I'm sure plenty of you will agree with me on this!
So be aware, to read this blog you will be better off leaving your head in the gutter!
As you know I'm a big Twilight-saga fan. I was SO, SO disappointed when I saw the movie, and just kept thinking that it could have been done so much better. Then I was introduced to True Blood, and suddenly I knew it could've been done so much better! So this blog, I guess, is all about the reasons why True Blood is so much better than the Twilight-movie.

1. Chemistry: I mean come on. You spend all this money on a movie, you have some handsome young stars starring in it, and you don't even spend the time finding out if the two leads actually have chemistry?!? The missing (or should I say non-existing) chemistry between Kristen Stewart and Rob Pattinson in Twilight just ruins the entire movie for me. I don't want to spend time on watching a romantic movie where the leads seem like they can just tolerate each other. It makes the whole "I can't live without you"-bit a little bit questionable. TB on the other hand... Uhhh... The chemistry between Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer is almost palpable! It's oozing out of the screen and seems to hit you in the lower regions and you just can't stop watching it, because it leaves you wanting more. That's what I'm talking about!! ![]()
2. The age-thing: Because vampires are so sexy it's really too bad to waste all that goodness on teenagers.
3. The vampires: The vampires in TB are infinitely scarier than the Twilight-ones. The way the fangs comes out is creepy (and smexy), and they seem to embrace their "condition" more readily than the Twilight-vamps. I think that the whole outing of the vampires in TB is really clever, and adds so much to the story. I know that you can argue that the two kinds of vamps are more alike than different (being pale, cold and you know, dead) I really think it is the small things (ahem... fangs...) that makes the difference...
4. The sex: Okay let's admit it. I'm not 16 anymore, I have been around the block a few times and on top of this am a married lady, I think I can handle a bit of nakedness and sexyness on screen. TB has plenty of this, not at least thanks to Jason Stackhouse and his manwhoring ways. But even the sexscenes between Bill and Sookie seems well done and not over the top (and HOT). How can Twilight even compare with that?? Easy, it can't, come on, the entire movie is all about how much they love each other, and all we get is one measly kiss?!? Even the book had more action than that...
5. The music: I know this is all about taste, but there's something about the intro from TB Bad Things by Jace Everett that just gets to me every time. The soundtrack from TB is just full of southern-goodness and you feel all hot and bothered when you listen to the music. Not that I didn't like the soundtrack from Twilight, but it just doesn't make you feel hot and bothered now does it...? ![]()
I think I'm going to stop here, if you let me I could just go on and on about this forever and I really have other things to do...J Needless to say, I can't wait for the 14th of June where season 2 of TB starts, it's going to be awesome!! The trailer is really sexy! (I really can't believe how many times that word has been mentioned in this blog so far...)
I've also watched the promo for the new show V - seems allright, I guess we just have to wait and see... And if any of you are interested the trailer for New Moon has just been released. IMO it just demonstrates how little chemistry Kristen and Rob have for each other, but the shot of a topless Taylor Lautner makes it really worth while, and almost makes me want to see the movie... (Gawd, when I look at him I wish I was 17 again so it wouldn't seem so inappropriate for me to swoon over him...
) This movie was posted on one of the Twilight-forums, and it just cracks me up. It's of these two die-hard-Twilight fans (girls obviously) watching the NM-trailer for the first time, and it's freaking hilarious!!
Before I finish off I just want to make a shout out to Macky who has returned to tv.com and to Shazz, who I hope is feeling better!

The Monster at the End of this Book
I just had to put my review of the latest epi of SN on my blog. I finally had time to see it last night, and as you can tell I absolutely loved it!! ![]()
This episode had it all; it was very, very funny (okay, let me be honest, it was freaking hilarious...), it was angsty and it had a nice development of the storyline of the season! Needless to say, I LOVED IT!! One of the best of the season, no scrap that, one of the best of the show!!
Favourite scenes in this episode was plenty, but I have to mention: The guys discovering that they have fansites, and Dean learning what "slash-girls" are! Gold! And off course, Dean reading about him reading about him in the laundrymat. ![]()
IMO this episode contains all that SN is about, and I really loved that they finally nailed a funny episode, without stopping the overall storyline completely!
Well done boys!!
Stuff, stuff and yeah, you guessed it; more stuff...
Sooooo.... No lame excuse as to why I haven't blogged in a while, I guess my life just hasn't been that interesting...
I actually thought that Supernatural was returning last week! Nobody informed me that it wasn't, so I downloaded the last episode I could find online, made myself really confortable on the couch, under a blanket with a big bowl of popcorn infront of me, and began to watch it. It took me about 5 seconds before I started to think "I think I have seen this before..." And then I realised that it was episode 14 I had downloaded again!!! BUMMER!! And then I went to tv.com and it said that the next episode isn't in a couple of weeks. WTF!!??!!? Can anybody please tell me what is going on...??
And then I was sitting there on the couch with my big bowl of popcorn and had nothing to watch... Weelll, that's not really the truth, I have like 6 episodes of Chuck lying around, but I was just really excited about SN, so I just couldn't bother watching that. I'm sure the need will come over me soon though...
Work is really crappy at the moment, me having a sprained hand and not being able to work in the lab...
It sucks, big time!!
And on top of all this my husband is in China on a business trip. He left sunday and isn't coming home before tuesday. I thought I would miss him devastatingly (I dunno if that is even a word...
) but I'm enjoying all the me-time so far. Don't tell him, I'm sure he would much rather hear that I miss him so much I can't even function... ![]()
Anyway, I guess this blog is just a testement as to how boring my life is at the moment... If you've read this far, I think you deserve a price of some sort...
(Actually I'm just getting flash-backs to Mackymacaspac's famous random blogs...
I really do miss them!!)

Twilight - the movie and fanfiction
Yeah, as the title sort of imply I went to see the Twilight movie. It was kinda dissapointing. The storyline had been changed too much, small details that would have made no difference had been changed (like Bella not cooking anymore) and I just didn't think that Rob and Kristen had any chemistry between them (which is kinda the point in a romantic movie). Ugh, at least I have seen it and can check it off the list. I don't think I will see it again though...
So I ran into a void after reading the books the first time, and since I really wanted to read them again, I did...
After finishing them again I just really didn't know what to do with myself, I had almost forgotten what I did before reading all the time...
Since I don't know anybody else who read Twilight, I joined thetwilightsaga.com, the online community for twilight-fans, and began reading some of the fanfiction. I've never done that before, I've always been too concerned that it would somehow ruin the story for me. But some of the stories are really good!!
I can really recommend "The honeymoon from Edward's POV)" by NewTwilightFan, it is really amazing, and if you have ever wondered what happened in the part that Stephenie Meyer jumped over, you should read this. It's a bit graphic in places, so you should be old enough to handle that...
I can also recommend "Burning sun" by Fire, it tells the story of Jacob and Nessie 5 years after Breaking Dawn.
Enjoy!! ![]()
Hugs
Twilight
Okay, so I finally decided that I had to find out what the fuss was all about. I've notived that Twilight has been mentioned quite a lot in your guys blogs, and then the movie came out and everybody was all excited. And I was still "Stephenie-who, Twilight-what?!?". But it made me curious. I found Stephenie Meyers homepage, and I got even more curious. And finally I just went ahead and ordered the entire 4 books all at once online. The timing of the arrival of the books couldn't have been any better; they arrived thursday afternoon, right after I had gone home early from work feeling sick. So as I had nothing better to do I started on the first book. And let me tell you, I didn't come up for air until I had devoured the last book 4 days later!!! I'm not even kidding! I cannot begin to tell you how much I loved the books!!!
I have always loved books, and have read my fair share of them, but I have never experienced anything quite like this. After finishing Breaking Dawn, I just wanted to start all over again, and i must admit I have Twilight in my purse, just waiting for me to start it again. ![]()
I can't figure out if I want to see the movie now. I have been watching some trailers, and Edward doesn't look quite handsome enough (and not really how I imagined him - but isn't it always like that??
), and the setting of the story also seem quite different. The movie hits the cinemas in Denmark in March - so I still have some time to deliberate. Have you guys seen the movie? What did you think?
Yesterday I found the part of the manuscript of Midnight Sun that Stephenie Meyer has posted on her homepage, and I had to read it, and could not stand the place it ended!! Right before the date in the meadow!!! OMG I would have love to hear what his thoughts on that was. I can't wait for SM to finish that one! ![]()
Enough Twilight-ranting from me, I hope you all are doing well, and that it gets a bit warmer in Memphis very soon, Shazz!! ![]()

Merry christmas everybody!! :D
I just wanted to wish you all a very merry christmas. I hope you all have the best time and get the presents you wished for!! ![]()
My husband and I are celebrating christmas with our parents at the summerhouse, so I'm really looking forward to it.
Have the best holidays!! I can't believe that this is the first christmas in almost 10 years that I can just enjoy the holidays and not worry about exams and stuff like that! ![]()
Merry christmas!

Supernatural - Season 4
Hi everybody.
I know I don't blog much anymore, but I just had to rant a bit about Season 4 of SN. Maybe it's in the spirit of the convention, I dunno, I'm sure you all had a good time... ![]()
Season 4 so far is really doing it for me. I don't think I've been this excited about the show before (and that's saying a lot), the storyline with the apocalypse is just what the series needed IMO. I've just been going through my reviews for this season, I've reviewed 6 epi's and out of those I've given 5x 10s and a 9,5!! I have never given scores that high before, but I must admit that maybe the new scoringsystem carries some of the blame, course it's not really possible to give more graded scores now... ![]()
Anyways, season 4 also holds the best episode I've ever seen of SN, and that is off course "I know what you did last summer". That episode just rocked my world, it had it all; great flashbacks, scary demons and a little bit of love...
I loved the way the story took a giant leap forward, and I was on the edge of my seat the entire time... As much as I loved "I know what you did last summer" I must admit that the end of "Heaven and Hell" was the first time I actually cried over SN... Poor Sam!
All in all, Season 4 is amazing, and I can't wait for the show to come back from hiatus to see what happens next. ![]()
Well that's it for me for now. I hope you made it through my ramblings allright, well I guess if you're reading this you must have... ![]()

Can you believe it? A new blogpost from me...? ;)
Hey everybody.
Phew, time is just passing way too fast, can't believe october is almost over now!! I've started the new job, and let me tell you, I'm loving it so far. Everything about this project is so interesting, and the more I learn about it, the more excited I get. Being at the Technical university of Denmark is really different from the university of Denmark. For one, it doesn't seem that they lack fonding as much here, I'm used to begging for money from my superviser, but it doesn't seem to be a problem here... ![]()
At UC I had a very nice supervisor, but she always thought of me as a student. Whenever something went wrong, or the data wasn't what we expected she would always think it was because of something I had done...
My new supervisor is just the opposite. He really thinks I'm smart, and believes in my abilites... Can you believe it, that actually takes some getting used to... ![]()
I'm sharing an office with a really nice girl. Thankfully we get along great, otherwise it was going to be 3 long years sharing an office with her...
Only thing is, she talks alot. And when I say alot, I mean ALL THE TIME!! It took me a couple of days to get used to interrupting her in order to say something...
And it is kinda hard getting to read up on all the new stuff with her talking and interrupting all the time... But at least she has some interesting things to say, so I guess I shouldn't complain too much.
Off course I've been watching Supernatural (except I haven't had time for epi 6 so far... Don't spoil it for me!
) I'm loving season 4 so far!! It's freaking awesome!!! I'm soooo glad that Dean is not in Hell anymore, and that he seems to have a purpose... I'm just a bit weary of what is going to happen to Sam. I hope he's not on some slippery slope and is going to get evil or something... ![]()
Hope you guys are doing well.
-Tina
So I guess it's back to the hustle and bustle of everyday-life for me now...
Hi everybody!
I hope you are all doing well, and are kinda adjusting to the new look on tv.com (I'm still not sure what to make of it). As you know (if you have followed my blog...) I have been away on my honeymoon for the last 14 days, and let me tell you, it was FANTASTIC!!
We were on this island in Thailand called Koh Phangan, and it was sooo beautifull. The beaches were perfect, the sand was white and the ocean turqoise... And off course my husband was amazing, and I have to say I'm more in love with him right now that I have been for a long time... ![]()
The wedding was fantastic, and I can't believe it's all over now. After all the preparations and the planning, it's now over, and I have to get back to the "real life"... Right now I'm enjoying my last day off before starting my new job. I'm starting on monday, and I can't wait. I'm so excited for this ph.d. and just can't wait to get started!! ![]()
I've just watched the first two epi's of Supernatural season 4, and I was happily surprised! I really love that Dean isn't stuck in hell, and I can't wait to find out more about this apocalypse-thing. I hope I get to see the third epi later today... ![]()
Nice to be back!
Love Tina
Me? I'm all newlywed and stuff....
Hi everybody.
So now I've been married for 3 days. And let me tell you it's been wonderful so far...![]()
I had the best day, the wedding was fantastic, and the party was just all we had hoped for. It's the best feeling, sitting there knowing that everybody is there to celebrate you... ![]()
Today we leave for our honeymoon; two weeks in Thailand (YAY!!
), I really wanted to upload some pictures for you guys, but the site wouldn't let me!! (frigging tv.com...
)
*EDIT* I've uploaded some wedding-pictures to our website, you can see them by clicking here.
I'll blog more when I get back!
Lots of love Tina
Ph.D.-update (OMG OMG OMG :D)
I just got a mail that I got a Ph.D.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
![]()
It's the one that I really wished that I would get, it is a really interesting project. I'm going to investigate how much effect genes has on obesity and life-style diseases (like diabetes and heartdiseases). I can't believe it! I'm so excited!!
Now I'm going to be able to go on my honeymoon and really relax...
I don't know when I'm starting yet, but I'm going to call them tomorrow and figure out all the details...
I just wanted to share the good news with you guys, you've been so supportive, even to the point where you invented your own Ph.d.-projects...
You guys are fantastic!! ![]()
Love Tina
Busy as a bee...
Man, these past week have been so hectic, I almost can't believe I'm still standing...
I haven't been to tv.com much, and I haven't even had time to read, let alone comment on your blogs lately! I'm so sorry, I'm sure you all have experienced some really fascinating stuff... ![]()
The wedding is now 2(!) weeks away! I just went to my last fitting of my dress yesterday, and there's a lot of other stuff to keep track of. The dress is spectacular, and I can't wait for my fiance to see it (he's not gonna see it untill the weddingday...
)
I've been to two interviews for ph.d.'s these last two weeks. I'm still waiting for answers whether I got them or not, and I probably won't hear anything for another week. The waiting is killing me, the ph.d.'s are really interesting and I'm very much interested in both of them. I know it's not kind to brag, but I'm really proud of myself for being called in for all these jobinterviews. Because it's so hard for biologists in Denmark to get jobs, I obviously know a lot of unemployed biologists, and most of them have only been to one or two jobinterviews so far. I have been to 6!!! So I'm betting on all these jobinterviews will make me better and hopefully will get me a job soon... ![]()
I finished the experiments for my article this week!! YAY!
So now there's just a bit of writing, and then it should be submitted by the end of next week! It just feels so good to be done with it! It has just been so much work, and I almost can't be bothered with it anymore... ![]()
Lots of love Tina
My votes for the Memmys...
I'm sure you all have voted by now, and I'm the absolute last to vote, but I just did it, and I thought it was really fun...

It's just unbelievable that they can keep up coming up with good idears for tv shows about crime-stopping, but this really works. I watch it every week!
Here's my new "Emblem" for voting:

And if you want to vote, you can go to Macky's blog and read all about it...

The random blog...
I know I haven't been around much this week, but it has been really hectic lately. I had a big ph.d.-application due yesterday, and it took all week to do. I even didn't get to write a blog about the fact that my wedding is now less than a month away!!! OMG! ![]()
Even though I haven't been watching a lot of tv lately because of the ph.d.-thingy, I have managed to squeeze in a Chuck-episode here and there, and yesterday I got season 7 of Gilmore Girls on DVD - it was on sale, so I'm sooo pleased!
I must admit, I really can't wait for all the shows to start up again!! Even though I wouldn't really have time at the moment to see them. ![]()
So thursday morning I woke up with a really sore hand. I thought I had just slept weird and that it would get better by itself, but nooo.... it only got worse during the day!! It kept me up most of the night because it hurt so much, so yesterday I went to the doctor to check it out. And apparently I have strained it too much! How can that happen over night!??! I didn't feel anything when I went to bed. It's very strange... But now I have to relax and not strain it. Which mean I shouldn't even be writing this blog, I guess...
Before I finish, I just have to say to mscraftee that I'm sorry that you couldn't even escape Paris Hilton when she went to Denmark, but I have to say Yay to Denmark for making it to the entertainment shows in the states...
(I have to be a bit patriotic right..? And if nothing else, at least the girl can generate free publicity...
)
Hugs Tina
Paris Hilton goes home...
YAY!!!!!! ![]()
![]()
Paris Hilton is going back to the states today!!! Thank god!
I'm really sorry mscraftee and deansgirl4life, I know you have enjoyed the break with no gossip about her for the last few days, but you can keep her!!
So now I guess I can finally stop complaining... ![]()
And for a little tv.com-update: I've got a new emblem! I'm now a side-kick'n contributor with more than 50 submissions. Yay!
I know that isn't a lot on this forum, but I'm really excited for me... ![]()
