TV and a little picture of the baby

Hi everybody

I know I haven't been here much lately, but I've been taking different courses for my ph.d. and on top of that I've been away for an entire week to slaughter pigs (I know, it sounds bad...). But I'm back now and I just wonna give you guys an update.

First of all, I went to my first scanning 3 weeks ago. I don't know how it is everywhere else, but here in Denmark we go to regular scannings to get the baby checked out, and to make sure that it doesn't have any defects (for example Downs Syndrome). So here is the picture we got out of it:

I don't know if you can make anything out, but I can assure you that it was very cute, it was waving at us and didn't have anything wrong with it... It was a fantastic experience!!! And I think it made it really real for Morten as well.

So television-wise I've actually been quite busy. I'm up to date on all the SN, and I LOVE, LOVE this season so far. It's really angsty, with great one-liners. But I really, really hope that it's not going to end up being some epic show-down between good and evil between Sam and Dean... CLICHÉ...

I've begun watching s2 of True Blood with the hubby, progress is slow, as there always seem to be something else he wants to watch... But I'm not so excited about this season so far. It's really different than the books, and the plots are not that interesting so far (we're at epi 6 or something). Too bad, I really hope it picks up... At least Eric is still easy on the eyes...

Criminal minds are allright. Not fantastic, but still interesting. And I'm trying to start watching Fringe s1. But it's on so late at night that I just can't seem to stay awake. 3 episodes have been on so far and I haven't managed to stay awake for a single one... Man, this pregnancy is just making me too tired... But I'm comtemplating whether I should keep on trying to watch it. It looks allright. What do you guys think? Uh, and has anybody watched the first episodes of The Vampire Diaries? Is it any good??

Well, that's it for me for now. Take care!

Love Tina

Randomness...

So the hubby and me have finally finished season 1 of True Blood and I can't wait to start season 2. Why the hell does watching tv take so much longer when you have to wait for your husband...? I'm all about Alexander Skarsgård. Normally I'm not really into the blondes, but he really does it for me. He makes Swedish look sexy...

I'm also re-watching s1 of Supernatural. I bought the DVD dirt-cheap, and I really love the beginning. I've only watched it when it was on the first time, so it's really nice to have the beginning repeated. And I've even forgotten what pappa-winchester is actually doing, so that's brilliant! I've also bought s3 and Veronica Mars s1 and 2. Can't wait to start watching VM again, that series rocks!!

I can't wait untill the 10th of september when SN s5 starts!! Squee! The trailer is amazing, and I can't wait to see how Kripke is going to end this show. I'm not too curious about the new shows starting this year. I might as well check out the pilot for The Vampire Diaries, but it really depends on the quality of that whether I'll continue watching it. The sad thing is that I won't really have too much time for tv this autumn, with the ph.d. and the pregnancy. I'm also reading a lot and there's just not enough hours in the day for it all...

So I'll just finish off with a short note on the pregnancy; We're doing fine, I'm now in week 11 and the hunger has really kicked in now. I'm hungry ALL THE TIME, and I can eat like there's no tomorrow! At least I haven't put any weight on so far, but I'm quite sure that will change soon...

Hope y'll are doing fine, and that everybody returns now that tv is starting up again. It's really been a ghosttown in here lately...

Hugs Tina

Yay - I'm back! :)

WTF?!?! OK - so now all the older blogs have come back - but the ones I wrote while the other were missing are missing now?!? I can see that things are NOT back to normal in tv.com-world (sadly). I just blogged before I went on holiday and didn't have a chance to read your comments before now. And now they aren't here... Hm, I hope you didn't state anything too clever if it's lost in the cyber-world forever...

Anyhoo... I had an amazing holiday, the weather was just right and I've even tanned a bit (which is quite amazing as I'm a redhead and don't normally tan). My 30th birthday was everything I had hoped; 20 people celebrating me at the summerhouse with a walk to the beach and a barbecue in the evening. 8 people stayed over night in tents, and it was really nice to continue the celebrations into sunday. So all in all I would say that I've been celebrated just right!! And then I log onto tv.com and see a note from Sharon (Shazz) and she has also mentioned me in her blog! WOW! Thank you - thank you, it really means a lot to me.

The pregnancy is going well, I'm a bit icky about food, but not really nausiated. And I hope it will stay that way. My bigsister did the bad throw-up-thing for the first 4 months, and I REALLY don't wonna copy that... Today I enter week 8 and I plan on seeing the doctor for the first time about during the next week. Tomorrow I go back to work, on some level I must admit I'm looking forward to a normal day-schedule again, but another level I wish I could just stay on vacation forever!

True Blood season 2 starts tonight!!!

Just a quick blog to let everybody know how I just cannot wait to see the start of the new season of True Blood tonight. I'm reading the books right now, and even though the producers have stated that season 2 is going to be quite different from the second book, I'm sure it's going to be really interesting...

HBO have made some promosites and "infomercials" for the new season, and it's fang-tastic, go check it out:

fellowshipofthesun.org - if you are anti-vampires...

americanvampireleague.com - if you love the vamps... (I'm an american) FUNNY!

ENJOY - I know I will...

Vampires are fang-tastic...

I know that this blog is going to get me into trouble, but I just have to get it out there. Let me start off by saying that I have discovered that I absolutely love vampires. There's just something about them that's really hot! I'm sure plenty of you will agree with me on this! So be aware, to read this blog you will be better off leaving your head in the gutter!

As you know I'm a big Twilight-saga fan. I was SO, SO disappointed when I saw the movie, and just kept thinking that it could have been done so much better. Then I was introduced to True Blood, and suddenly I knew it could've been done so much better! So this blog, I guess, is all about the reasons why True Blood is so much better than the Twilight-movie.

TB vs. Twi

1. Chemistry: I mean come on. You spend all this money on a movie, you have some handsome young stars starring in it, and you don't even spend the time finding out if the two leads actually have chemistry?!? The missing (or should I say non-existing) chemistry between Kristen Stewart and Rob Pattinson in Twilight just ruins the entire movie for me. I don't want to spend time on watching a romantic movie where the leads seem like they can just tolerate each other. It makes the whole "I can't live without you"-bit a little bit questionable. TB on the other hand... Uhhh... The chemistry between Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer is almost palpable! It's oozing out of the screen and seems to hit you in the lower regions and you just can't stop watching it, because it leaves you wanting more. That's what I'm talking about!!

2. The age-thing: Because vampires are so sexy it's really too bad to waste all that goodness on teenagers.

3. The vampires: The vampires in TB are infinitely scarier than the Twilight-ones. The way the fangs comes out is creepy (and smexy), and they seem to embrace their "condition" more readily than the Twilight-vamps. I think that the whole outing of the vampires in TB is really clever, and adds so much to the story. I know that you can argue that the two kinds of vamps are more alike than different (being pale, cold and you know, dead) I really think it is the small things (ahem... fangs...) that makes the difference...

4. The sex: Okay let's admit it. I'm not 16 anymore, I have been around the block a few times and on top of this am a married lady, I think I can handle a bit of nakedness and sexyness on screen. TB has plenty of this, not at least thanks to Jason Stackhouse and his manwhoring ways. But even the sexscenes between Bill and Sookie seems well done and not over the top (and HOT). How can Twilight even compare with that?? Easy, it can't, come on, the entire movie is all about how much they love each other, and all we get is one measly kiss?!? Even the book had more action than that...

5. The music: I know this is all about taste, but there's something about the intro from TB Bad Things by Jace Everett that just gets to me every time. The soundtrack from TB is just full of southern-goodness and you feel all hot and bothered when you listen to the music. Not that I didn't like the soundtrack from Twilight, but it just doesn't make you feel hot and bothered now does it...?

I think I'm going to stop here, if you let me I could just go on and on about this forever and I really have other things to do...J Needless to say, I can't wait for the 14th of June where season 2 of TB starts, it's going to be awesome!! The trailer is really sexy! (I really can't believe how many times that word has been mentioned in this blog so far...)

I've also watched the promo for the new show V - seems allright, I guess we just have to wait and see... And if any of you are interested the trailer for New Moon has just been released. IMO it just demonstrates how little chemistry Kristen and Rob have for each other, but the shot of a topless Taylor Lautner makes it really worth while, and almost makes me want to see the movie... (Gawd, when I look at him I wish I was 17 again so it wouldn't seem so inappropriate for me to swoon over him... ) This movie was posted on one of the Twilight-forums, and it just cracks me up. It's of these two die-hard-Twilight fans (girls obviously) watching the NM-trailer for the first time, and it's freaking hilarious!!

Before I finish off I just want to make a shout out to Macky who has returned to tv.com and to Shazz, who I hope is feeling better!
